Don’t feed the troll. Dude isn’t even trying to make it funny.
I am no troll. I just think these predictions will happen. An I forgot to add that Nue will likely end this year too.

Goodbye 2025, that was a great year for manganimes!
And welcome 2026, hope you will be great :)

So, for the second time, lemme do some predictions!

Current lineup :

One Piece -
Around 32-35 chapters again this year! As I don't read it, idk about Elbaf but I'll say the arc will end. About the anime, the new format (26 ep a year) will be great received. Live action still popular.
Hunter X Hunter - Will release its batch of chapters earlier than we thought. A very appreciated character will die.
Me & Roboco - Will do Bleach and JJBA on the volume covers.
Sakamoto Days - Season 2 of the anime announced, ends in the second half of the year and live action will do wonders for the sales. A good year for Sakamoto fans (yeah, even the ending kkkkk)
The Elusive Samurai - Ends in the first batch of the year (in like 5-6 weeks from this post). Season 2 in Spring, will be even better animation-wise. Still, it will not have a big boost.
Witch Watch - Part 3 will be shorter as expected, will ends in Fall. Anime season 2 not for this year.
Blue Box - Ends in the second half of the year too, While the anime S2 airing.
Akane-Banashi - The anime will be great received, that will be translated in a fine boost in the sales. Season 2 announced, no final arc yet but very close to.
Nue's Exorcist - Anime announced!! It will be a great production because every talented and horny animators love the manga. Still, it will be released in 2027.
Kagurabachi - Anime announced!! As expected, Cygames is on it. Release in 2027. About the manga, Hokazono will takes more breaks, but art will still be peak. Not close to the end.
Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi - Will continue to decrease in sales and popularity, but survives the year.
Hima-Ten! - Anime announced!! Mid studio though. Release in 2027.
Ichi the Witch - No anime announced but it will be leaked. Usazaki drops some of the best panels of the year.
Shinobi Undercover - Will continue to increase in sales. More color pages, even 2 covers.
Otr of the Flame & Harukaze Mound - Axed in the first batch of the year.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo - Ends around 25-27 chapters as expected, volume 1 at 250k.
Someone Hertz - More frequents color pages, volume 1 at 20k. Hit of 2025.
Gonron Egg - Axed by the second batch of the year. Not a U19.
The Mage Next Door - Struggles to find its foot. Will survive a bit because of the end of the big hits.
Hero Girl and Demon Lord Call It Quits - Winner of the batch, but still meh. 12k seller.

Black Clover - Ends in Spring.
Ruri Dragon - Anime announced from nowhere.

New series & authors :

14 new series this year.
- 2 gag, one of them can go in 2027.
- 1 spokon, straight axed.
- FINALLY A DETECTIVE SERIES!
- Tate Roll
- Mujina Muri, Hirokoshi Ame and Shinosuke Toujo debuts
- No Horikoshi yet.
- Shinpei Watanabe, Daisuke Enoshima and Ikuo Hachiya returns.
- Yuji Kaku, Toshiaki Iwashiro, Hajime Komoto and Tadahiro Miura returns.

Some other things :

- Kill Blue anime will be great but do nothing on the sales. No season 2, full adaptation in 25 episodes.
- Chojo anime will do some wonders, airs in Fall. Season 2 aka cour 2 announced. Shun Numa will do a new manga on J+.
- SBR anime will be peak and well-received.
- HnK remake will be a disaster.
- Something will be about Kochikame this year. Idk what, but there will be a thing.
- Same for Saint Seiya.
- Yu-Gi-Oh remake announced.
- Psyren anime announced.
- Undead Unluck season 2 announced.
- Yozakura Family will have a season 3.
- Another new weird remake out of nowhere.
- Physical manga market at its lowest but we will have the digital numbers.

I'll do the same as last year and make some crazy yet distantly possible predictions for fun:

- Otr survives in 2nd last again and makes it past 1 year before finally getting cancelled

- Elusive Samurai will be the only long runner than ends

- Kiyoshi gets an anime announced, but Nue and Kagurabachi don't

- short term/temporary series take up a slot for the entire year (Modulo, HxH, Burn the Witch, and another veteran or two also return for mini-series)

- half of the new series this year are sports or mixed genre with sports, but not a single one of them becomes a hit

- Elbaph actually ends

- Taiki and Chinatsu don't have sex this year, but another series' MC does

Did WSJ try 4 sports manga (Embers, Harukaze Mound, Ekiden Bros, and Ping Pong Peril) to try to get their own Blue Lock?

Seriously, just serialize a Kendo/Karate manga and let it unfold, Jump.

I'd kill for a good boxing manga, like WSJ's version of Hajime no Ippo.
I did post a boxing one shot in the previous thread

- One Piece will finally return to the present and conclude the Elbaf Arc before the end of the year. The final stretch will be a flashback of some other important worldbuilding event.
- HunterXHunter new batch around Fall 2026.
- Me and Roboco will continue strong (i.e. the usual) for the whole year, and there will be at least another relevant arc like the Multiverse Arc.
- Sakamoto Days will end in Spring, sales in slight decline. New anime season confirmed and maybe even a movie.
- The Elusive Samurai will end next batch or second next batch at most.
- Phase 3 of Witch Watch will continue for all the year, alternating serious chapters to comedy as usual. The series will end at early 2027.
- Blue Box will enter a massive wrapping up phase, to conclude the story during the second half of the year. A spin-off or two will be announced.
- RuriDragon will be axed will continue like this for another year, anime announced maybe close to the end of 2026.
- Akane-banashi anime will grow a dedicated fanbase and assist with sales but not too much. Story wise, it will be the year of the Shin'uchi test.
- Nue's Exorcist will get his deserved anime announcement during the second half of the year. I will learn even more to accept it's not that bad (note that I am already making progress, calling the anime announcement "deserved").
- Kagurabachi will dedicate the year to expand its universe after the big battle of the present days. Anime announced somewhere down the line, and Hokazono will take a break every 3 weeks, alternating with Oda.
- Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi will, unfortunately, end its lucky streak. Saito will grow bored of the series and it will be axed at the end of the year, with sales numbers still unvaried and ToC rankings decreasing.
- Hima-Ten! Will risk to suffer the same fate when a new, more succesful rom-com will debut during 2026. By end of year, both series are still surviving but Hima's fate will be on a thread. A fourth love interest will be added to the roster and contribute to the girl of the week rotation.
- Ichi the Witch will cement its status as a future pillar and the series the editorial board will invest in the most. Lots of covers, first ranks, you know it. All the pre-anime promotional stuff.
- Shinobi Undercover will continue for another year to be the new Yozakura of the magazine, with the occasional covers. We will finally know more about the Operators, and I am afraid that Yodaka will master a Kekkai before the end of the year.
- Otr axed next batch. Haruzake axed maybe the batch after that.
- JJK Modulo is short, so it will sell a lot of volume thanks to the name and that's it. Someone Hertz, the breakout star of 2025, will achieve good sales (around 20-25K) and will be allowed to stay for the rest of the year and some more.
- Gonron Egg axed as quick as possible, Mage Next Door will perform decently and stay, Hero Girl axed as quick as possible unless Saito has some plans for it.
- There will be some return mostly from axed authors of the previous years, and one successful veteran. No GFC winners will debut as the contest is getting axed as well, and the agreements with the winners rendered void.
- The diversity of genres will continue with dedicated batches like the spokon batch we saw in 2025. There will be a rom-com batch and a comedy (not gag) batch at least. The search for the new spokon, the new fantasy series and the new gag series will continue as well.
- All in all, a transitional year for Jump where Saito will continue his search for a new identity, with dubious results. The quality of the new series will be low in average but a new hit in one of the non-battle genres will finally arrive.

And now, the traditional ranking of the 2025 axed series, going with the list that was used for the previous thread:
1. Star of Beethoven: A very good story, and I was skeptical at first. It had some chapters mostly dedicated to characters introspection, and not many series could introspect like this one. Unfortunately it was not a series for the masses, and it failed to grow on readers like Green Green Greens failed the previous year.
2. Embers: I kinda enjoyed some aspects of it, expecially the auras of intimidation that major players exposed at times. The plot also was not bad (a redemption story for the protagonist) and I liked the ending. The problem was with the sport, that was covered only at a surface level and not enough to invest ourselves in the matches.
3. Syd Craft: Love is a Mistery: A series with some highs and lows. The misteries were cool but they didn't bet on them, the love was not so bad but not so good either. Lulu best girl, if I remember correctly my preferences.
4. Kill Blue: A series that probably deserved this fate. For two-three times, the current plot was thrown away to start fresh with new characters and new stories, in a desperate attempt to keep the interest of the series alive, but it still struggled. So pulling the plug was inevitable, although I remember enjoying the last ride despite the sense of rush.
5. Ping Pong Peril: The definition of "so bad it's good". It sure felt different from the norm, but I don't fathom how it could get away with its over the top absurdity and still have a fanbase liking it. Although it is a pity that the ending was rushed, I wonder how many ideas the author had before saving space aliens for last.
6. Astro Royale: It had good moments but also painfully bad ones, struggling to find a winning formula. It's a shame because I was absolutely convinced by the first chapter, only for having to find it painfully bland as the series progressed.
7. Kaedegami: Many suffered because this series was not succesful. To me, it was Generic Battle Shonen #476. It's not that different from what is Gonron Egg today, with the difference that one had a hot lady and the other a creepy egg, but they have the same role in the story.
8. Super Psychic Policeman Chojo: I wasn't a fan of the series. Actually, I liked the main character, but the rest of the cast was insufferable. I won't miss it much, but from an objective point of view it was a kinda unnecessary axe since the series had earned its own spot on the magazine. Good luck with the anime!
9. Ekiden Bros: Seeing people running gets me fatigued by proxy, so hard no for me with this series. It had good frienship/rivalry moments towards the end, expecially when the protagonist wasn't involved.
10. Nice Prison: Veeery bad gag series, tried to be Bobobo but it is very hard to draw a nonsense gag manga without the same genius (and also, times have changed probably). I'll remember some good things, the female MC was a good Shinpachi and the perfectly normal prisoner was the best character of the series.
11. Hakutaku: The topic of the series was interesting enough but too easy to botch. This series proved the point, botching it spectacularly. The rival/mentor team introduced at the end was kinda insteresting, but not enough to save this trainwreck of boredom.

Some predictions

One Piece will continue its physical decline, selling below 800K by the end of the year. That one user who dooms One Piece will make an appearance.

Me and Roboco will continue as always, small drops physically keeping at roughly 10K.

Sakamoto Days will end strong with a solid boost from the live action movie. Season 3 will be announced and it will get the distinction of crossing 20 million copies in circulation, the first to do it since Chainsaw Man.

The Elusive Samurai ends, but not this immediate batch. Season 2 will air in the Summer to the joy of shotacons and it will get a final volume boost taking it back to 50K. 6 million circulation is announced.

Witch Watch progresses steadily throught the year, with some plot developments coupled with Shinohara's staple comedy. Morihito and Nico will kiss by the end of the year to the joy of me. They will somehow manage to be more intimate than Jump's most puritanical couple Taiki and Chinatsu.

Speaking of which Blue Box will continue to be trash this year with more exacerbating developments which serve to either extend this husk of a series or make Chinatsu somehow even more perfect than she already was. The series won't end by the end of the year, with Hina rebounding one more time for round three.

Akane-banashi will continue to be one of the greatest to ever do it. The anime is a solid adaptation which will return it to its peak of 60K. I can predict with certainty that I will be a happy fan.

Ruri Dragon will continue its decline and will be a 60K seller by the end of the year. That one annoying user who everyone refuses to block for some reason will continue to be annoying. Story will still be very good, and rumors of an anime start to come in by the end of the year.

Nue's Exorcist will get its anime announced by the third anniversary, scheduled for Spring 2027. In a surprise development, Gakuro will get married to his harem, and will somehow also be more intimate with them than Taiki and Chinatsu.

Kagurabachi continues with a solid sales performance, leveling at 120K-130K. Anime is announced for Winter 2027.

Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi struggles this year and its ToC and sales get worse and worse every month. Big series ending will abil it out temporarily, but by the end of the year, it will be on the verge of getting Kill Blue-ed.

Hima-ten! continues stagnating sales-wise, but maintains a decent ToC performance. While nothing will be announced, Sugoi will leak an anime on the eve of Jump Festa. Also, Honka wins, and manages to be more intimate with Tenichi than Taiki and Chinatsu (suck it Hima and Kanna-bros).

Ichi the Witch continues as always, stagnating a little and ending the year at a level 70K. Nothing is announced, but will continue to get massive amounts of push (which will inevitably get debated).

Shinobi Undercover continues being Saito's golden child with strong ToC placements despite level sales around 15K-18K. Yodaka and Aoi will get together and somehowalsobemoreintimatethanTaikiandChinatsu.

Otr of the Flame gets axedin the first batch of the year, causing an outcry in the western fanbase for "not letting Kawaguchi cook." Somehow, Nue strays will occur from this.

Harukaze Mound also joins Otr in being cut first in this batch.

Modulo sells 275K first volume and ends around 30 chapters. It manages to be a tightly written story which succeeds in bringing more enthusiasm to JJK.

Someone Hertz outperforms expectations, with a strong 25K debut despite being stock-limited, and grows throught the year to sell 40K. Keeping the trend of the popular Jump series winning, Someone Hertz will win Tsugi.

Gonron Egg and Hero Girl and Demon Lord will quickly fall to the bottom and get axed (not sadly in the first case, sadly in the second).

Mage Next Door will slightly outperform the two to earn it a batch, but will also stumble and get axed the batch after that.

Finally get to post my milquetoast predictions

Current Series
- One Piece releases more than 30 chapters (this is a safe bet)

- Hunter x Hunter returns for at least 10 chapters (also a pretty safe bet)

- Sakamoto ends around September (around when JJK ended in 2024)

- Blue Box’s magazine reception is hurt by recent events and it gets a slightly rushed ending around the summer

- Witch Watch’s final part/arc is around 30-35 chapters long, series wraps up by summer

- Elusive samurai ends in January

- Roboco ends at around the 280-290 chapter mark (around the same as Sket Dance and Saiki Kusuo)

- Akane anime airs in April, two cour season; it’s fairly well done and raises sales back to peak levels (around 60k)

- Nue anime announced at some point (maybe anniversary), might be 2026 but most likely winter 2027

- Kagurabachi anime announced by the summer, could also be a tossup between 2026 and 2027

- Kiyoshi gets Kill Blue’d towards the end of 2026

- Himaten anime is announced around September, otherwise continues as usual

- Ichi anime is announced around the same time for the 2nd anniversary

- Shinobi continues to exist

- Otr and Harukaze both axed in the first batch

- Modulo ends as scheduled around March

- Hertz sells around 15k its first volume, has a Chojo-esque drop and looks to be in trouble by the end of the year

- Gonron is u19’d

- Osoegawa lasts around 30 chapters (similarly to MMYY and Otr)

- JK Yuusha lasts around a year

Other series
- Kill Blue anime airs in April, one cour season; decent adaptation but doesn’t do anything for sales

- Chojo anime airs in July, one cour season; is somehow successful and gets the series to 1m in circulation

New Series
- At least one GFC winner is serialized

- Mamayuyu author returns

- Jump is desperate and brings back more veterans than newbies this year

- Shun Numa returns around the time Chojo’s anime starts with either Chojo II Boy or something entirely new (or a oneshot, who knows at this point) (this is cope btw) (this might happen on jump+ instead)

- Jump will continue to experiment and fail with sports series

- September blessing will continue for a fourth time, another hit will release that month

- Naoshi Komi returns with a romcom that outdoes Himaten and Hertz quality and sales wise

- Jump steals another artist from Sunday or Magazine (not specifying because it might not happen at all)

- Hideaki Sorachi does not return (free space)

Misc
- Saito will make another stupid decision and people will argue about it (also free space)

- Mag is crazy enough this year to let us hit 1200 pages

Okay, my first time. Please be gentle with me.

One Piece: Unfortunately physical volume selling will continue end ends up at 500-600k for 4 weeks and stabilize at this point. Elbaph wil not end by the time we start 2027 thread but might end by actual end of the year. Jump will finally be forced to diminish its physical tirage if they hasnt done this yet. Remake will start at second half of the year otherwise there will be clear date at least. If the forme it will help backlog but doing little for new volume sales.

HXH: Will have another 10 chapters however if the next batch starts in this year there will be another one down the line.

Me & Roboco: Will not end and gets second season announcement. Maybe change format of anime.

JJK Modulo: Will be prolonged but Gege being Gege it means 55-70 chapters max. Also he will screw up Itadori one way or another.

Sakamoto Days: If it will be very close to ending by the time of next JF if gets another season announcement. Otherwise not.

The Elusive Samurai: Ends obviously. Next season will not give any real boost.

Witch Watch: Hopefully will not end next year. Second season for 2027 spring.

Blue Box: Ends. Next season shall get decent boost again.

Akane Banashi: Anime will be praised for its uniqueness but will not make big waves. It manages to give manga a decent boost. Decent not crazy.

Nue’s Exorcist: NO IDEA

Kagurabachi: Anime announcement either by well known studio or relatively new one that wants to hit it big with this. Either way will be hyped like theres no tomorrow.

Ichi The Witch: Announcement by well known studion and hyped like crazy but not nearly at level of Bachi

Predictions time.

Ongoing series:
- Sakamoto, Blue Box, EluSam and Witch Watch all end this year. While there are dissenters (especially for Sakamoto and Blue Box) general reception will be positive.
- Black hair trio (Luffy, Chihiro, and Ichi) become the staple of the group covers.
- Roboco continues like normal, does not end.
- Akane anime is well recieved but gives it a minimal boost.
- Nue anime announced for Winter 2027 by JC Staff directed by Hiroshi Nishikori.
- While we're here, Kill Blue and Chojo anime are well recieved by the fans but don't cause the series to retroactively blow up. Numa will start a new series on Plus though.
- Kagurabachi anime anounced for Fall 2026, first volume post anime salles 300k first month.
- Kiyoshi and Himaten get regular color pages and be midrankers in the TOC. No anime announcements.
- Ichi anime gets announced around the chapter 90 mark, no news on studio or staff but a 2027 release date.
- Shinobi gets a non obligatory cover.
- Otr and Harukaze out first batch lol.
- Someone Hertz is a 20k seller but remains stagnant at that level. Gets a recommendation from a popular comedian on the first volume.
- Gonron Egg goes second batch of 2026, narrowly avoids U19 status.
- Mage Next Door is a Syd, Harukaze level performer, a couple of decent placements and a color page or two but only survives one batch.
- Hero Girl sells between 10-20k and joins the Kiyoshi/Hima/Shinobi squad.

New series:
- Goto and Matsuura return very quickly a la Yokota with Shuudan with Kamen Kitan Theo... and get a similar result.
- Two authors from the Future Project get serialized but only one with their oneshot from it, that being Hokami with Greykeys. The other author is either Fukamori or Kaneko.
- Hayashi Yoshihiko returns with a real life drama series. First volume has a rec from Hokazono.
- Obligatory Osonoe prediction.
- Satoshou Masayoshi serializes Tonde Hi ni Iru Natsu to Mushi (Yes this is the same as last year, I want this one, ok?) fans form a rivalry with Zero to Hyaku in Magazine, arguing over which magazine has the better new basketball manga. Fans of Sunday's Ichika Bachika cry in the corner.
- Time loop manga
- Historical setting manga
- No GFC winner lol
- There is only one Ichi level hit, your regularly scheduled doomposting may now continue.
