#6. Any tweet, specially japanese, about news, update or some interesting thing about the magazine or series has to come with a text of what that tweet means and also be on topic, if not it's going to be either deleted or i will edit the post.
#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

Wasn't it actually only the first hour? I don't know if they still do that, but these numbers are way too low for me to think otherwise. I refuse to believe One Piece of all things only gets about a thousand posts on release day, and to that end I think it's also interesting to look at the numbers from the perspective of "is this indicative of popularity, or which series are more likely to have fans who are awake at midnight," because no matter how you slice it there are some strange ass outliers.

It can't be just the first hour, the first hour of release is pretty low in mentions actually, i would ask to see if he responds.

I don't think it's Jump+ because I'd remember. Maybe another minor henshuubu, it's possible. I've got the word that it's not the first time for Young either. It's interesting that they didn't get a backlash before...

I'm sure I must have posted this here ages and ages ago, but the long and short of it is that at least towards the start of the year, what the chart actually measured was the increase in tweets between 0:00-1:00 AM on a Monday, meaning right when chapters drop, so I'm just wondering if that's changed whatsoever. Looking for engagement online is obviously still important, although this is probably why we've gotten confusing results in the past like series that chart well and then tank in sales and rankings. It's biased to night owls, lol.

I wonder how you can figure out which series cater more to night owls, though.

Can't believe this is happening all over again, so let me be very blunt as to what is going to happen if this keeps up, expect a ban from the thread or whatever by the admits. It has happened before and if they have nothing to show but troll and be a annoying pest for the sake of it without any contribution about the disccussion of the magazine(Its in the title) then this will happen.

Just having an account just to dunk on a series is wild to see in this thread and its highly silly to do that.

Take me for example, i dislike Me and Roboco but to i yearn for it to be axed and be an absolute jerk about it towards it and the author? HELL NO. its disrespectfull as all hell. It is a solid gag and the author clearly knows his audience and clearly does his best as a mainstay gag series for the magazine despite my dislike for it.

The reason i don't is mostly cause i do respect the author too much to really be mean about them, i will critized any work like i do with gonron egg(Which is deserved for its many flaws compared to the the two series in the new batch) but i will hope they learn from the experiecne and come back even stronger than ever to launch a hit. That's what it means to be.

You can voice your dislike for a series sure, but NEVER be a dick about both the author and their craft.

Can't believe I have to yet again use this post of mine to make things very clear to the person in question.

The only thing I could find about Jump+ and AI manga is that they have been using AI to help translate some One-Shot manga. "Swipe Right and Die Tonight" and "HYDRA" were both translated using AI tools.

This (I remember people not being happy at all) and they have an AI tool for manga to help mangaka. Nothing special, something like chatgtp.

Anyway, my prediction for the 2 issue is Sakamoto annivesary cover with lead color pages alongside the likes of Blue Box, Akane Banashi and a one shot(probably by one of the authors in jump giga who made one shots this year, thinking maybe the likes between Motobucho and Nishimura An, both of their respective artstyles reminds me of old school jump in a good way, getting color pages.

Okay, let's go for predictions about ToC's issue 1 and color pages issue 2.

Ngl, this first issue feels very "Hey, here's Jump future for the next 2-3 years!" With all these popular series. Ichibachi as a double pillar and Nue/Shinobi/Hertz as pretty popular series.
Anyway, imo Modulo 1st, OP 2nd and Sakamoto 3rd. Bottom 5 for Blue Box, Roboco, EluSam, Otr and Harukaze.

About issue 2 color pages/cover, I'll go with FINALLY the Sakamoto anniversary cover. They won't skip the 5th anniversary, right? Or maybe they are waiting for something to match with, like a S3 announcement or idk. Anyway, I'll say Sakamoto cover and color pages for Modulo, Hima-Ten! and either Akane or a one-shot.

ToC day with the first issue of 2026! My predictions

-Cover for issue #2 has to be either Sakamoto Days for 5th anniversary or either Akane-banashi or Blue Box

-Color pages will be: Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, Hima-Ten! and either Akane or Blue Box if neither gets the cover.

-Bottom 5: Harukaze Mound, Otr of the Flame, The Elusive Samurai, Me & Roboco and Blue Box again

-Top 5: One Piece, Sakamoto Days, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, Akane-banashi and going to be on Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi

WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP 2026 - PREDICTIONS!

Yo guys & girls, feel free to make your official 2026 predictions for the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, mangas and anime! You can of course include Jump Festa predictions for December since it falls into the beggining of the 2026 fiscal year, don't be afraid of making some wild predictions, it's just a fun game we're doing and who knows, some wild predictions actually come true, so be creative if you want but of course take it seriously too

Important: Do not mock or criticize any prediction from others, each member has the right to make whatever prediction they want even if is something almost sure to not happen, okay? so let's go!

One Piece hopefully finishes the flashback in 3 more chapters after the current one (Harald losing faith, Harald's death, and then Loki on the run respectively) we return to the present but seeing what's going on in the world (BB crew and Hachinosu pirates attacking Mariejoia (with him confronting Imu) while his infiltration team kidnaps Shirahoshi), Shanks prepares to fight BB, Shamrock returns and fights Luffy. Luffy wins and Elbaph finishes up by this time next year with the post arc and setup for Hachinosu.

Roboco does its thing,

Sakamoto Days starts to go through the fights and is at the final fight with a 2027 end date being all but confirmed if not already finished.

TES ends with the first or second 2026 batch.

WW ends or finishes the main fight with the start of wrap up. WW will end by 2027.

Blue Box also starts to get murmurs of a 2027 ending, but I think we get around the playoffs.

AB has its next arc with the elite futasume battling it out while Akane gets the second story.

Nue finishes Hyo 2 and starts the process against #3.

KB we will likely meet another one of the 6 sword wielders and take down a few hishaku like the guy who seems like the no 2.

UE Kiyoshi finishes the beel arc and starts to tease out the world a bit more.

The rest of the series do their thing.

JJK Modulo ends this year naturally while Otr, Harukaze Mound, Goron Egg all end. Demon lord likely survives. Mage next door I have no clue on the reception.

HXH will return. Tate Roll starts. Furudachi returns and maybe Goutouge and Horikoshi as well.

Some more fantasy adventures start that hopefully can be big hits. Sports will also get included more. I think sci fi's will definitely grow this year as a genre.

Not like anything will happen to One Piece and it was always going to decline after so many years, but changing the anime timeslot was probably a bad idea if they wanted to at least delay or lessen the decline. The seasonal format will hurt it even more, these are changes that make it less accessible to kids, so they don't get as many new fans as they used to.
