#6. Any tweet, specially japanese, about news, update or some interesting thing about the magazine or series has to come with a text of what that tweet means and also be on topic, if not it's going to be either deleted or i will edit the post.
#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.

Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

5 chapter arc where he goes back to being her cleaner. These impressions don't mean an axe is confirmed, besides the fact it would be stupid to do it with Otr and Harukaze going now, Gonron/JK/Osoegawa ready to die, Elusive and Modulo almost over. Kiyoshi always sold less while getting way more promotion and even Shinobi probably has less potential than Hima-ten considering its treated as a pillar and sells only a bit more than Hima-ten that gets no marketing.

Since I already declared in the Himaten thread that, aside from the Honoka-focused chapters, there would basically be no substitutes, I’ll keep this fairly rough.
The entire chapter is a Himari-focused chapter.
Tenichi’s inner thoughts:
“If I want to move my relationship with Honoka forward, I have to end my job as Himari’s housekeeper.”
Himari’s inner thoughts:
“If I want to move my relationship with Tenichi forward, I have to stop being his client.”
Himari tells him she’s quitting as his client and asks him to return the house key. As a result, he ends up quitting, and Tenichi is left shocked.

Teaser line: “The end comes suddenly.”

With the end of last chapter, this reminds me of the ending to Blue Flag if it does end.

It's probably just a status quo shake-up, the author has seemed to want to pursue the relationships more seriously recently so it'll be moving forward to the next step.

Some romance authors do like writing actual romance and dating after all, not everyone is satisfied with the characters waffling about forever ending the series when they hold hands for the first time. Look at Blue Box, Taiki and Chinatsu have been dating for more than half the series now.

I think kawaguchi has no eyes for adventure series as much as i like him to do and succeed one

Go all in on a crustacean themed series. Horikoshi loved marvel and loved drawing hands and look which series ended up being a hit.

I think mangaka with a huge passion on certain subject will always find a way to connect with readers no matter what.

He needs someone else to write the first couple volumes.

Harem romcoms haven’t gotten a boost in ages. More popular series like Mikadono and Amagami with decent adaptations got nothing. Gachiakuta which sold worse than Shinobi leading up to the anime got a much bigger boost. I doubt Hima-ten will be the exception when it doesn’t even sell much more than the average Magazine Romcom. Vogue has shifted more to stuff like Kaoru Hana, Blue Box, and Kisekoi, stuff that’s promoted more on heroines and less on both the ML and FL’s development cap out earlier (I personally think the market is over-saturated). Realistically no series lower than Nue is getting a notable boost, but Shinobi’s momentum is okayish enough that a decently time adaptation with little competition from other battle Shonen could break out a little (even Nue’s chances are low tbh, it’s starting to get a little late lol).

I think axing Hima-ten is a bad idea due to the sheer amount of axebait, but I’m not surprised that the author’s been doing more big developments to draw voters. Also, another note on the potential argument. P6 sold about as well/better than Yozakura and Undead, with much less push, but still got axed anyway.

My point is that Shinobi is already in The battle magazine and gets a ton of promotion while Hima-ten doesn't get basically any. I don't think Hima-ten will explode or anything, but Shinobi still didn't get any significant boost from the status it got from Jump.

Also, romcoms perform better on digital, many of the WSM series sell more there than physical nowadays, so it's hard to see how much an anime influences (not big, but they may get some boost we don't see on Oricon/Shoseki). The average mid seller romcom gets way more merch and collabs as well, Amagami was a constant presences in anime stores for some time, while Gachiakuta didn't get much. I don't think it's that much of a stretch to think Hima-ten can be as profitable or slightly more than Shinobi anime wise.

Like sakamoto and jujutsu kaisen, i think shinobi's anime boost hinges heavily on it getting an animation studio that can do battle sakuga on week to week basis. And in this climate, I just dont see shinobi getting an anime adaptation from mappa or A1 who can achieve those feat.

Meanwhile, i can totally see himaten getting a studio that does good character animation or just draw the fanservice well.

Well, for something that was in a spoiler tag that I was planning on saving until the chapter dropped, I kind of already solved what it was by reading the other messages…

I’ll watch cautiously to see where this goes for Hima-ten. In the worst-case scenario this would mean it’s ending in the next batch after this one along with Gonron. In the best-case scenario, this is just a big dramatic development that serves as a roadblock on the way to the expected conclusion. Either way, the way last chapter ended gives me the impression that it’s not just going to end overarchingly on that note, so twists like this are within reason when other twists are within possibility.

A little surprised by the speed of Otr’s death, but I suppose we’ve waited long enough for a new batch that it’s about that time. I suppose this means Harukaze only has 2 chapters left too, so will be interesting to see how much time they afford to the ending or if it’s just wrapping up the game and smash-cut to the future for a page or three.
