Thanks. I was about to ask more question but i think i will just leave it to sunday.

She does look like Tokiko. I would also say she looks like Yoru and Makima's female bodyguard from CSM.

I mean, it helps to have more readers put eyes on your series regardless. People would just assume it's DOA based on the promotional art alone.
True but that does not always translate well in terms of sales. So its always imperative to see how a series goes. I recall the buzz over mamayuyu when it debuted and look how that turned out.

Hm, I just realized that we seem to be getting quite a bit of rookies that were former assistants of horikoshi. What’s next? Sakamoto Days and Kagurabachi’s assistants joining the bandwagon? Or will we see more assistants from Centuria?

i just want a kishimoto assistant making a new series (besides ikemoto), bro's there influencing every new mangaka but there's not a single assistant from kishimoto making a new manga on WSJ...

I think we should slow down with these spoilers
You leaked Jump while literally in Japan on release day, you could have been in jail :teehee

Jokes aside, it was just a final sneak peek and you only see if you click in the spoiler, so...control your fingers guys :grin

Btw, i'm only doing this for the 1st or 2nd chapter of the new series since is fun to give some text details of the 1st chapter and etc, its not something that is going to be regular, so dont worry about too much spoilers guys 👍

I am awesome so I get a pass :hmph
I know for a fact that if this was Nue Exorcist With the issue Cover and you were in Japan that you would absolutely try to show us the lcp as early as humanly possible. Am I wrong?

I feel as though that most of, if not all of Kishimoto's are too old to handle a weekly schedule now, given that it started in 1999 and ended in 2014.
I also found a Twitter thread detailing all of his assistants and what series they did, if any, after they were done with Naruto.
Not counting Ikemoto, 4 of his assistants did a series in Jump, and all but one of them is a flop (Akira Ohkubo with Samurai 8, Osamu Kajisa with Tattoo Hearts & Yuichi Itakura with HAND"S) with said series being a Naruto spin-off (Kenji Taira with the Rock Lee spin-off series)

C'mon now, they will get it this year, otherwise Saito will look really dumb for treating one of the series that are doing well in sales a second time.
He does not have any excuse this year.

Thank god.

From the cover, it made it look like that, no offense.

Shark, once again, has his priorities straight from the get-go. Never change, Shark, never change.

Shinuki, here is another one-shot author, actually three authors, I want you to take a look at, as both I felt very interested in for different reasons altogether.

Hamano Nene or Hamano Otone(It's still kinda unclear which is the actual one, most likely the former), a fan of One Piece, i can can see some of its inspiration within the artstyle

Enkiribito in Jump Giga Autumn 2024

True End in Jump Giga Winter 2025

On the other hand, it would be the likes of Nishimura Ann, who debuted a one-shot in Jump Giga Winter 2025:

Lastly, the other author i hand in mind would be the likes of Motobucho, who debuted a one-shot which was shown in Jump Giga Summer 2025

lol Hamano Otone has to be the most clear case of someone influenced by One Piece i remember seeing, i'm pretty sure the guy is a Oda assistant, come on, look at this:

The 2nd one shot feels like what a Oda work about police would look like but the mc is identical to Takemichi from Tokyo Revengers lmao!

Both one shots are fine but the guy really needs to develop his art more so it gets more of a proper identity without looking like a Oda copycat.

Nishimura Ann one shot seems kinda interesting but the whole thing looks very 2000's, needs a lot more work

Motobucho one shot is definitely the most interesting of the 4, visually pretty interesting and different but at the same time i could see just fine being serialized in the magazine but the author needs more time to refine the art which still look quite amateur here and there but he's already pretty decent overall, the opening page caught me by surprise:

I think Hamano has what it takes to be a competent author. So am rooting for them. Also, I did like some of the panels he made. I thought some were cool, to be honest.

Nishimura Ann, I kinda thought you would like it, mostly because the art style reminds me a bit of the Rosario Vampire author's.

I can see why you would wish Motobucho to refine his art a bit more, but his creativity is absolutely flowing through in the one-shot, and I cannot deny that I would be interested in seeing what else he could do overall.

But you cannot deny the potential with either Hamano or Motobucho. Both have something unique going for them, and I think that is awesome. I added Nishimura because I thought it would be great to bring in another rookie here, just show something a bit different.

Now allow me to bring forth a specific rookie that quite honestly am baffled that this one has not debuted a single series in the main magazine yet. The author in question is Hirokoshi Ame.

Here is a link to the one-shot he made in Jump Giga 2025 Winter.

Another author that I think has a very strong shot at debuting would be a former assistant for both Bleach and Mashle called Shou Shiromoto, who debuted crazy bash in Jump Giga Autumn 2025

These two have quite a professional style of art, it feels less amateur than many others before them.

Yeah, we did, at least on the one-shot scene, "Zookey," a one-shot that participated in one of the Golden Future Cup competitions.
