I’ve been having this weird feeling for the next batch. Do you think we will have a batch of 5 soon?

I had that thought initially but Elusam is ending close enough to this batch that it probably doesn't count towards the next one
At most we could see a 3 batch + HxH

4 at best, most likely three plus hxh return.

With gonron egg, mage next door and hero girl all ending. Especially the former.

If you want, I can name drop, at the very least five authors(Rookie or veteran, failed or successful) I suspect could return sometime this year, maybe even on the next batch, if people are down for it.

I was just curious cause Modulo has 5 chapters left. But when TES does end, it will have 3 chapters left to finish.

I thought 5 cause if Gonron, Mage, and Hero Girl are doing this bad, Modulo near completion and we could see the end of Blue Box soon, that gives me the feeling that a batch of 5 isn’t impossible.

I don't read Blue Box but for it to end in less than 10 chapters? And there's no way Gonron is lasting more than 10, they're not waiting for the late #20s to axe that. Odds are it'll be 4 or less. Modulo and Gonron for sure, Mage and Hero depending on how many series they got ready

She has the eyes of a strong female character.
Therefore, not better written but better drawn :derp

Alien headbutt might be kind of a "sci-fi sports manga" we wished some time ago (at least I was thinking about it at least).
What type of moves to make against a rival with 6 arms? 4 feet? Etc etc

Blue Box has like 3-4 major events left for it to end. It has Taiki's finals, which based off his last match being 5-6 chapters, that'll probably be like 5-6 chapters. It has a resolution to the kyo ayame stuff, and the hina haruto stuff, which will probably be 3 chapters each. And then finally, we still have that one guy who lives near chinatsu, which can take however many chapters.

To me, since we got a returning author from 2024, I think the return of these three authors from 2021 to 2023, who had a failed series, so the ones I think are possible Shinpei Watanabe(Ginka and Gluka), Natsuki Hokami (Hell Warden Higuma), and Minya Hiraga(Neru: Way of the Martial Arts).

Now I will come with rookies, I already spoke about Shinosuke Toujou(Zombie John one-shot) being a strong possibility, however am expecting that we are VERY likely to see Fukamori Shou make an official debut(His one-shot Zanki the Vampire Slayer was the most talked about one-shot outside of Demon on a plate and Grey Keys). Hirokoshi Ame and Shiromoto Shou are two other strong names, I think, who have a massive chance to land a full-on series, but this is still kinda a long shot if this does happen.

As for the Golden Future Cup winner, I think we will probably see Izumi Hakaze of Signal All Red make a debut once Blue Box ends its run.

Lastly, another four names I would like to drop here would be the likes of Hatakeyama Kinya(From Doll Shows one-shot from last year):

Kongon, an author who I think has hidden potential to deliver something akin to a full-blown mystery series, similar to Mushishi:

Yo Odoraiba, who made My Little Mars and Bad Tripper, is an author who kinda screams potential.

For the very last one, I will go with a wildcard, just for fun, and say the likes of Okada Masaru, mostly because his art style reminds me of the old style of the likes of both Dragon Ball and One Piece, and I could see a bit of heart in his official one-shot in Jump Giga:

Inui Akira author comment for Alien Headbutt 1st chapter:

"This is my first serialization so I'm very nervous, but I'll do my best. I'd be very happy if you read it!"

Its definitely going to be interesting to read that is for sure.
Now am getting curious on the color pages from this issue.

What did you think overall of the pilot chapter itself?

Alright, I know the thread is gonna go full intrigue mode once tomorrow comes like usual.

Also, liked the guesses I made for the possible future batch of new series coming around march or April? Not gonna lie I made some interesting guesses.

It’s going to be pretty sad but a great hurrah for Matsui. Let’s give it up for him to do another hit and a possible final work in Jump.

12. Nue's Exorcist 12 - 21,180
13. Shinobi Undercover 6 - 18,632
14. Hima-Ten! 7 - 15,077

16. Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi 6 - 10,419

19. Ping Pong Peril 2 (END) - 1,683

20. Ekiden Bros 2 (END) - <1,250 / 1 day

Analysis:

Akane-banashi
Holiday boosts see Akane with a small gain from the previous volume, breaking the previous trend of soft drops. Next volume coincides with the long-awaited anime, it remains to be seen whether the long wait hurts its chances for a boost.

Kagurabachi
Another decent bit of growth after what seemed to be a declining trend, it's now hit a new peak, breaking 150K.

Hima-ten
A decent recovery from the previous volume's drop, sticking around the 15K mark.

Shinobi Undercover
Another volume of small growth. With Jump pushing it pretty aggressively, it will be interesting to see if this marginal growth can continue.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo
A high debut as expected for the sequel of JJK.

Someone Hertz
2025 finally gets a breakout hit in Someone Hertz, hitting the 45K mark despite significant stock shortages.
