In the Floor of Death, Garam had said the original princesses had gone insane and killed one another, some may still be alive though.

I don't buy there's a princess with V or Arlene's blood though, considering they weren't on good terms since so early. Some Family Leaders have had twins, or Zahard hand-picked some to fill the gaps

Well, in the blog posts, some of their status is simply "Unknown".

13 people according to the spoilers. It depends on the timeline. Perhaps Headon took a sample way before the internal conflict.

As far as I can tell the princess competition should have started well after the war with V. Add to that, zahard won't have a princess with her blood in the competition.

Getting deja vu regarding the upcoming Eduan vs Urek

I think my memories shown Eduan giving Urek an injury on his arm in their fight but overall got defeated handily. The fight environment was the same blue sky/ocean with no structures around

imma come back to this thread to see if it was a true prophecy

Chapter 52 Summary: "I will kill the King" part 1

-Eduan explains Zahard is the King of the Tower and the princesses are girls who received power from the king. After the great warriors stopped their adventure and settled, the Tower continued to seek challengers and there were always people who longed to challenge it.
Headon demanded the great warriors to provide challengers of their own bloodline, so in the end they selected one child from each family and bestowed Zahard's power to them, then made them climb the Tower.
Those 13 were the first Princesses of Zahard.
They all had to be females cause male children were unable to accept Zahard's power for some difference in compatibility Eduan doesn't know much about.
In any case, the girls successfully climbed the Tower and Zahard bestowed the 13 months to them.
It was decided that the princess who would gather all the 13 months would be granted a special priviledge, the qualification to ascend to the Tower's next floor. But in the end, that never came to pass, because they all died or disappeared.
Now the Princesses of Zahard have become nothing but a symbol of power and prestige, while at the beginning it was a position to obtain the right to climb higher in the Tower.
-Urek asks about the connection between snakes and princesses. Eduan says he doesn't know much, but the more a Family Head's bloodline is diluted, the harder it is to give birth to a child worthy of becoming a princess. There is a strange rumor going around that says that someone that wanted to conceive prayed to the water serpent that lives in a well and gave birth to a girl destined to become a princess.
Similar stories can be heard and are passed down in various places, so Eduan wonders if there might be some truth behind it, but he never looked into it in detail.

Lulz, we won't know until it happens but, all I can say is some of our Reddit bros about to be having the worst week over there when it happens however way SIU writes this.
