WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP THREAD RULES​

#5. Don't post news about series from other magazine or publishers in the WSJ thread, post in the series own thread, but it's fine if you're mentioning other series or magazine to express a opinion or reflection about Shonen Jump.
#6. Any tweet, specially japanese, about news, update or some interesting thing about the magazine or series has to come with a text of what that tweet means and also be on topic, if not it's going to be either deleted or i will edit the post.
#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

Btw, Silver Mountain is actually Fujita 5th successful long running series, it was Ushio & Tora, Karakuri Circus, Gekkou Jourei & Souboutei Kowasubeshi

UNDER DOCTOR is a hidden gem in the midst of this whole magazine. There's so much potential in this series

Kiyoshi is such a REAL SHONEN for it not to be one of the highest selling mangas of this magazine... the anime needs to come at this point...

There's no way kiyoshi sells less than 10k, more people need to know how peak it is

Great Nue chapter, and along with the fights wrapping up in Ichi and Kiyoshi it was a strong week for the action series that I read. Dropping Under Doctor after this chapter. I think it's fine, but also don't really get the feeling it's going to improve that much before it gets axed.

Issue 15: This was a pretty fun week!

1. Nue's Exorcist: I would never come up with a cooler way to start this chapter than with a bycicle kick. It characterizes Gekka so much as this tomboy cool hero, it fits so well with the talk later about What means to protect and the similarities and differences between her and Gakuro. Kawae's love for Fate is obvious, so I'm glad he's open to having his own take on the topic of Heroes as figures and how this may take away their individuality. This will be explored more in the future. And that form looks absolutely amazing, the hairstyle is just the best.

2. Modulo: It's disappointing how hard it is to talk about Jujutsu Kaisen based on what it's actually doing instead of what the readers want it to be (and what it'll never be). Gege isn't a slave to his characters or expectations, the story will take the shape it needs to explore its themes. Modulo is about the struggle for understanding and how different it is from generation to generation. Yuji exists here as a reminder of how the past can't be forgotten because it shaped the present, but also to show that the future can be shaped by new ideas and new people that challenge what exists. Countries and cultures do exist, but individuals do as well and Modulo embraced that by doing its own thing and I wouldn't want it any different.

3. Ruri Dragon: Shindo is a master at doing a lot with very little. This short trip is a quick look into Ruri and her mom's relationship, they're both overly casual with each other, dry and pretty much say whatever comes to their mind. And even then they both feel different, even if you can see how the daughter took to her mother. Being overly emotional is an easy way to showcase love, but the love showing here in these short exchanges is more impressive.

4. Someone Hertz: It's hard sometimes to come up with new things to talk about this because I often know what I'll get going in and Hertz constantly delivers that. Another casual date with funny gags, cute moments and our couple being adorable.

5. Himaten: There are a ton of series that are information heavy or have way too many panels per page. Himaten is refreshing because of how easy it is to the eyes. Decent dialogue that isn't overly long, strong expressions, proper pacing. Another week where it does all that well.
