In short, you're creating fictional scenarios that aren't in the manga.

You have to accept what Hiro delivered; it was part of the narrative that Lucy remembered Aquarius and Brandish appeared.

The fact is, Hiro established that Lucy was at a disadvantage.
You call this fictional scenario?

Lucy was hoping for Aquarius as she was barely cleaning onto consciousness. That is the established narrative.

if that was a disadvantage (if you want to call it that) that just shows Lucy weaker than Brandish overall and not the same level as you claim. Even on the surface it would be the same thing as stated in the link above.

There is no "what if." It's in the manga, you can read it, but you don't have arguments to refute it, much less to distort the manga, as you usually do.

Put Brandish in Lucy's situation, and she wouldn't even be able to fight, since she would die without oxygen. That's why she's wearing a mask.

All that's left for you is to accept the established narrative.

I got a question for spriggan twelve fans. Are you guys arguing that x792 characters are the exact same as their current morden version? For example x792 Lucy is equal to current Lucy?

no, just that with given information in the manga so far, Spriggans have maintained relevance since then. Even then Lucy currently (minus Merc Key) is still no where near Spriggan level on her own or without circumstances.

And as I read, Lucy was going to lose regardless, she is confirmed weaker than glass girl since she admits regular dragonized people would crush her.

did you not see her attacking with water magic? How is that not fighting back? That is like saying Aquarius could never use her water powers the entire manga. She is simply outclassed

Yes, which Lucy’s one words saying that being hit by said dragonized attacks would crush her.

I'm seriously doubtful whether you're distorting the manga's events out of favoritism towards the characters you want to defend, or if it's due to a lack of perception, because it's impossible for someone to have difficulty interpreting such basic scenes and stick exclusively the images. 🤔

Apparently, Lucy and Brandish's dialogue, the context of Aquarius's memories, the mask Brandish was wearing, Lucy's subsequent actions, among other things, none of that matters, because you can't understand the connection between all these events.

Lucy was rambling about her feelings for Aquarius for most of this fight. It was Hiro's way of giving relevance to Aquarius's key and creating a connection to the Mercphobia situation. In the following chapter, the key is found inside Mercphobia's lacrima.

If you continue with this level of argumentation, you won't be able to establish a dialogue, much less convince anyone of the Spriggans' level of power. In reality, you'll have even more difficulty creating these fictional stories as the next chapters are released. Good luck. 🫢

Regular dragonized people>Dragonized Luso :umad Even i think the lowball against the signario is too much.

Kyria peformace does not disappoint a spriggan level character and she was defeated by Lucy. Sai's rival bond puts Lucy and Brandish at same ballpark, and Brandish is only higher than Lucy Star Dresses but not her Star Dress Mix, Karameel is just overwhelming a basic Star Dress, not a Mix version

@Darklord#10 @Steven
My thoughts regarding this topic.

I think Mashima doesn't know what he's doing.

On one side, he is somewhat regretful about the constant "power creep" and wants to reign it in. Some examples - Natsu saying healthy Makarov (at best Warrod level) would be far stronger than the possessed version who pushed him, implying healthy Makarov is at least x793 base Natsu level. Spriggans being treated as still kinda relevant, implying they aren't fully powrcrept. Constant comparisons to Gildarts (likely x792 version). Return of Zero as an actual force. Etc

On the other hand, the entire spinoff is set for power creep. Going from a setting in x792 where the ceiling for protagonists was Zeref, to a setting in x793 where ceiling is dragons relative to Acnologia (at least in stats).
Mashima even recognize this, hence the constant mention of characters getting stronger, deliberate nerfing of dragon gods till this arc in an attempt to make their defeat make sense while having the protagonists grow. Etc

Mashima has lost completle control of the powerscaling. He has contradictory wishes, which shows. The manga is full of contradictions and nonsense.

IMO, the only way to make sense of all this, is to assume that Mashima is slowly RETCONNING powerscaling, to REDUCE the gap between characters from various arcs.
While hierarchy is maintained, the gap between Zero to Makarov to Spriggan to dragon eaters to even the dragon gods has shrunk. Contradictory yes, but then again Mashima doesn't know what he's going anymore. DF Natsu is or will be above all will be a constant.

.........

Coming to Gildarts, Laxus, Jellal.

They are very obviously treated as the peak "humans" in the good side (Natsu the obvious exception). With Gildarts the obvious strongest, followed by Laxus/Jellal.
GMG portrayal. To Zeref expecting Jellal or Laxus to reach him, which is Mashima outright stating these two are the strongest good guys (Gildarts was a wild card which wasn't planned).

Coming to August.
In pure combat ability, Gildarts was a match for August. The difference mainly came from the magic immunity. By extension, this would apply to Serena who is equal of x792 Gildarts in combat ability (basically another Laxus/Jellal or base Natsu/Gray).
Jellal was able to match and arguably surpass GS in combat ability, but was stopped by magic immunity. Once he bypassed it, he won. It suggests obvious powercreep of Jellal surpassing x792 Gildarts, and also that current Jellal would do fine against August if he can somehow bypass immunity (he can't).
August still remains King, the only Spriggan that can't be surpassed by our good guys bar Natsu, cause his ability is just that broken to mages (suzaku is a different topic all together). I see no reason why our current powerhouses can't take out any other Spriggan including Eileen. Current Laxus would beat her, so would Jellal and Erza (Gray too) if they get DS seal.

GodSlayer666 ^Wendy was there to support everyone so Lucy has power Ups via Il Arms to aid her. And Kyria was defeated by Godfried which is a group spell. It does not as it makes Lucy think of someone powerful that they don’t like them for that. So you are saying star dress mixing can affect dragon gods? Why didn’t Lucy do mix dress when she was on the surface then? Unless she can’t bet them with it.

Not sure where got that from but considering how you go back to something that clearly is CIS/PIS when there are cases that show why that ”huge disadvantage“ doesn’t mean much here.

Because Lucy is having her hide beaten down by someone superior to her as she was barely clinging onto consciousness, and those pages you provided prove that.

And here where she clearly stated that being hit by someone weaker than glass girl is enough to cook her goose.

and she literally ran away instead of fighting back because she knew what is blatantly obvious.

That is literally the final part of the fight, she is talking about wanting to help the villagers and Merc and formulating plans to combat glass girl. Again, doesn’t matter in the situation as she was barely holding on. and that was after Brandish Saved her, who Lucy couldn’t sense the entire time yet Brandish could.

I could say the same for you

You're kidding with those arguments. Seriously?

Dragonized ordinary citizens >> Kiria and Luso Signario (Dragonized).

The fact that Lucy didn't want to take damage, to get hurt, before facing Merc and destroying his lacrima, doesn't mean she isn't capable of withstanding damage from these citizens. Especially since she managed to withstand damage from characters far more powerful than these citizens.

Lucy's lines in that situation were just Mashima's way of emphasizing the gravity of the city's situation.

You can't say the same about me; I'm not yet at that level of desperation to use scenes like that to illustrate bad arguments.

Wendy is there to back them up, she even casts her Il Arms to aid in the fight.

She literally stated if she is hit by that she is toast, that is what is established, she did not mention wanting to take little damage before facing Merc. If she is as powerful as you claim she would have used a spirt or a dress, something, but no, she did nothing so she gets nothing. No, that is emphasizing her situation, she didn’t say “one attack like that and the city’s toast.”

I think you are if you are claiming what is established with Lucy being weaker than Brandish didn’t happen when there are multiple pieces of Evidence that claim otherwise, Lucy’s shiver of Brandish’s power, using Sai’s alchemy to get someone stronger than her to help, and here, against enemies she openly stated would trash her if they make contact with her.

At what point in that scene did Wendy heal Lucy or amplify her abilities? Do you notice how quickly you contradict yourself when confronted with the most obvious facts? It wasn't even necessary to explain something complex, just bring up a later scene from the manga to dismantle the fiction of your weak arguments.

Lucy can withstand attacks from Luso Signario, but she doesn't survive attacks from ordinary citizens transformed into dragons, according to you.

I think that argument and the one about Selene running away from Wendy are the worst you've come up with so far.

Because the situation was not call for it at the time, especially with the fodder sisters who have no dura. Their only best feats are haxes. Ain’t contradiction when their enemies are trash.

In fact, I say from showings that the dragonized citizens have better feats than these frauds.

Besides she used her amplify ability here around the end of the fight.

So now your argument is to belittle the Signario Sisters? Laughs. I just think you can't put them below ordinary citizens; you'd have to work really hard to create a huge, patchwork fanfic.

See, this whole situation only served to demonstrate that you're not interested in discussing facts, but rather in constructing narratives that don't reflect the reality of the manga, but rather your own interests. It's not about perception or interpretation of a particular scene, since everyone can have that differently. Dialogue and discussion with feasible arguments are necessary to reach a consensus.

Unfortunately, that's not the case in this discussion, since you went to the trouble of inventing a fanfic where Lucy would be defeated by dragonized ordinary citizens if hit, and that she's weaker than Karameel.

All this so you can exalt your precious Spriggans.

As I told you above, it will become more difficult for you to have a serious discussion with someone about the power levels of these characters if you continue to resort to these fallacious narratives, which anyone can see make absolutely no sense.

Didnt saw Wendy using any enchantment on the group. But Lucy used gottfried alone, gemini copied the other 2 celestial mages and it was done. And i’m not saying that Star Dress Mix can affect a Dragon God, though probably would do better in the fight against Merc, but the whole fight is a outlier anyway, just like Lucy AND WENDY damaging the labyrinth floor. Outliers happen, someone who struggled with Enchanted Neinhart is nowhere near a Dragon God even if they are fraudulent, Brandish is not soloing a guild with Gildarts level and stronger mages

It is right before everyone finished off their respective opponents. Lucy can’t use that without additional members for the spell which she needs preparation for with Gemini. Lucy never damaged the Labyrinth, Wendy did though, but that is besides the point which is much weaker than a DG. Nienhart enchanted didn’t get physical stats boost as his magic power just poured out of him as his limits are still there, it is like Acno who doesn’t get physical stats boost with SBT when he split himself body and spirit and needs DSs to stabilize it, and for Aldoron too who needs the 5 orbs to manage his excessive power. Now they don’t.

Considering how weak they were when they fought Erza makes sense, Alchemy unlike magic doesn’t reflect their physical stats, so their hax is the only thing impressive.

Same with you not using facts when it is stated that Lucy would be crushed by one of their attacks which is factually stated from her own viewpoint, do you see the problem as soon as you try look at something and form a personal interpretation of said scene? It just falls apart there.

It is the case as it is literally stated in her own words in the link provided, but you seem to ignore. You claim that she is on Brandish’ level yet she can’t even hit her nor take her hits where as Brandish could do that in two shots in an environment where she has disadvantage in.

Not my fault Hiro keeps making them relevant even into the final arc.

same can be said for you when you try to inflate feats for Lucy into something absurd where the manga makes it clear where she stands.

I didn't think you'd invest in this narrative of Ordinary Citizens > Signario Sisters in terms of physical attributes.

The argument itself is pathetic, but even within your logic, it doesn't make sense, since Enny and Luso are fighters and have demonstrated resistance to attacks from Natsu, Gray, Erza, Wendy, and Lucy. There's no way they could have inferior attributes to ordinary citizens.

I'm curious to find out how low you can sink with this level of argument.

If you really think so highly of them, it is the same way someone like Nienhart is stronger than doll GS since a weaker spell broke him apart where as a bloodthirsty spell Nienhart survived and escaped and Doll GS claimed those sisters are superior. Now they’re fighters with Dragonization since they were pathetic before, even with it they are still miserable. as humans they were since they relied on alchemy before. You forgot that those powers have their pros and their cons.

Raj illusion stopped her, she wouldn't have the concentration to boost them while turned into a jellyfish and is not seeing trying to boost them all again. Prep or not Lucy just need Gemini for that

There are visible pieces of the floor flying with the impact of the attack

You insist too much on a lack of physical boost when there is nothing stating that, even Acno boost has no statement, the fact is to believe Brandish is relative to dragon gods when just because she used SOMEONE ELSE to ragdoll a Dragon God is stretching too much when she don't have anything on her own to beat a Gildarts level mage and struggled with freaking Neinhart just because his magic power was higher.

The argument itself is rotten, but even within your own logic, you can't support that thesis. Lol.

The Sisters have accomplished far more than anything ordinary citizens have demonstrated, as shown above.

That is not how illusions work, they don’t stop spells, otherwise Erza would revert back to her regular armor when Midnight cast his or Natsu’s flames would have gone out with other illusions too, they just mess with perception, nothing more. And that required multiple people to do, not by herself, that we can agree on.

That is not how the spell works. It causes the ground to swell upward and burst form the ground, those are just loose stray pebbles and the surface is flatish.

Nothing states that it did though, as He said his magic power outstripped it’s limits, meaning his limits are still there so his physical stats would remain as they are. The fact that his spirit and body separated showed there is a disconnect and lack of a physical boost at least, otherwise he wouldn’t have easily gone down from Erza’s sword barrage. Considering she saved Lucy is a convenience to use someone else to do it too, and not even her stronger dress too which makes sense since Aquarius is a bad match for Merc. Considering that Historia GS could make Gildarts bleed is impressive in of itself, that is just magic spells, not physical since she can affect even Natsu still as he was ready to battle still.

And you are the one claiming Lucy Brandish are on the same level when Lucy’s portrayals against dragon citizens and glass girl said otherwise.

I can, Jellal opened the atmosphere itself and called projectiles down from the stars in seconds, astronomically (lol) greater than his standard spell that are just usually hanging above his opponents. Hax wise sure, yet in a dragonized state, they didn’t even cause the ground to collapse into an underground water reservoir.
