WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP THREAD RULES​

#5. Don't post news about series from other magazine or publishers in the WSJ thread, post in the series own thread, but it's fine if you're mentioning other series or magazine to express a opinion or reflection about Shonen Jump.
#6. Any tweet, specially japanese, about news, update or some interesting thing about the magazine or series has to come with a text of what that tweet means and also be on topic, if not it's going to be either deleted or i will edit the post.
#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

The only other series a ring necklace fits besides HxH is Reborn!

Save getting extremely lucky by finding another Kagurabachi, I think their best bet short term is to bring back an extremely big author like Sorachi per batch, and hope the wave of excitement for said author coming back is enough to carry multiple series in the batch until they have a full lineup again. Saito's successes so far came when they brought in the Iruma-kun author to Jump and when Jujutsu Kaisen came back. Shinobi and Someone Hertz are both good series, but I think a decent amount of their success is owed to the fact that Ichi and Modulo brought in a ton of readers that normally don't follow Jump (or stopped following it when Kaisen ended), checked out the other new series in their respective batches because might as well, and thought they were good enough to stick around and follow them as well (while Hakutaku was pretty terrible and not worth following).

It's not realistic or perfect, and at some point this strat probably has limited returns (there's only so many big names willing to come back to Jump after all), but it's really all they got since new Jump series by not established names have been struggling to generate hype on their own for years now.

I do not think Saito can be credited for Modulo. Because gege said the talks about spinoff and modulo has already started since BEFORE jjk ended

That's why i need to see the actual image for me to confirm. Kurapika is not ring necklace. That's 5 rings with chains.

Exactly, the only full Saito (iirc) series is Someone Hertz
If I'm not mistaken, the entire "2024 school" series has gone through a transitional phase (and was therefore pre-approved by the previous editor) like: Kiyoshi, Ichi the Witch, Hima-Ten, and I don't remember who else

I think it will be announcement of the result AND a Cover / LCP announcement that Takeru will illustrate the Top 10 winners for the LCP.

And like i said, the japanese wording can also be translated as "Chain", HxH returning on issue #22-23 or #24 is pretty likely since JK Hero ended without anything else starting and Togashi having a batch of 10 chapters finished for weeks on Saito's desk.

Doing a quick calculation, Togashi has produced two volumes combining completed chapters and those currently in progress
So that would be about 18 to 20 weeks of ToC for HxH

Man, some folks really yearn that Under Doctor and Kinato's magic to be axed that is want am seeing in some of the previous pages, Jesus Christ. Also some of you folks are incredibly pessimistic, ain't calling names but jeez, can like we relax? Any new batch is likely going to be at the bottom, jump has no cushions left and if a series does not meet an overall expectation then well it sucks. Also I expect next week's TOC to be a tad more telling. Although cannot wait for who incredibly down in the dumps some of the future posts are going to be like, yay! Everyone wants to heard it constantly. Like it did in some of the previous days. It wasn't annoying to see it constantly at all.

It's pretty obviously ending, its getting the cover, super climax of the story, interview with Tabata and Asta VA, the war is finished, and current volume will be filled with the chapters from this issue.

Oh. Its going to be interesting when the issue comes around. Although am gonna say, that am actually thinking we might get another Jump press around June or july. Cause if blue is not there, its for sure having it in the next one. In my opinion.

Am a fan of Kinato, does it suck doo doo balls to see its placement with zero color pages thus far? Absolutely. But guess what? Mashle and Undead Unlock had similar issues when starting, and given how winter batches work, I would not be at all surprised if this is another of those moments once again happening. We shall see, not gonna go the negative. Its too overbearing and annoying to a dude like me.

On another note, I am willing to bet that between the 22/23 and 30, we are getting another round of jump future project one shots. Its a good time as any to have some fresh faces doing wacky ideas as Hunter x Hunter comes back.
