Shamrock will kill Garling before that happens.I been saying this. I think he wants the throne.
I think he was probably helping deal with the attacks. He seems a bit more hands on than the others.Something I was thinking... it's a bit weird that garlin just made it to the room. Where was he? I think it'd make sense if he was trying his new gorosei powers.
interesting thought but that would mean he was able to subdue IM’s contract right?I been saying this. I think he wants the throne.
Feels like everyone thinking he’s going to try and take the throne are forgetting that Imu can just take over his body or straight up kill him with a thought.interesting thought but that would mean he was able to subdue IM’s contract right?
Are you saying you think Oda won’t just never explain who JoyBoy was or what happened in the Void Century and how Imu ties into it all? There must be flashbakc to joyboy era at some point
The beautiful thing about art is it can be seen plenty ways lol.Yeah Shanks made the big brain play by getting out before he was in too deep.
Unless Garling has some “I’ve discovered your secret weakness!” card up his sleeve, he’s Imu’s servant until one of them dies.
I don’t see his comments as being plotting for self gain. He was giving rational input and acknowledging the fact that none of the Gorosei can stop Imu from doing anything he decides to do.
I think they all share the same motive: staying in power. It seems like they are disagreeing on the best course of action to do that. The rest of them think they should just keep doing what they’ve always done and hope it starts working again, and he thinks they should be taking the problem seriously and taking more extreme actions. At the very least I believe garland is plotting SOMETHING. For arguments sake let’s say it’s not Imus seat. I believe he has a motive unlike the rest of the gorosei…
He is super EXTRA SALTY...cause, he provided a place for the W.N games,, a whole island full of resources..Revealed the hideout from the Daveys,,, and still the shadowy bastard,, piece of shit- doesn't provide him with Eternal youth... back them (he probably got it now-that he is a Gorosei- Old man forever) (he still keep the Hairdo..duh)I been saying this. I think he wants the throne.
Ehh, I wouldn't be surprised. Immortality is always better when you can be eternally young instead of being stuck as old man. I hate what he did but with all honesty, just like you said: he did A LOT. And yet still got stuck as "lowly" Holy Knight instead of getting promoted. So yeah, I could see Garling ploting quietly behind Imus back.He is super EXTRA SALTY...cause, he provided a place for the W.N games,, a whole island full of resources..Revealed the hideout from the Daveys,,, and still the shadowy bastard,, piece of shit- doesn't provide him with Eternal youth... back them (he probably got it now-that he is a Gorosei- Old man forever) (he still keep the Hairdo..duh)
aside from the obvious appearances of keeping the "Five Elders" as old dudes being a proper facade to the world, i can also imagine Imu being extremely wary of anyone too young, too malleable in their ways. the older you get the more set in your ways you get, and that's far more useful than ambitious upstarts still trying to prove themselves for advancement. i can absolutely see Garling as being savvy enough to hide his ambitions well enough that Imu either doesn't notice or doesn't care.He is super EXTRA SALTY...cause, he provided a place for the W.N games,, a whole island full of resources..Revealed the hideout from the Daveys,,, and still the shadowy bastard,, piece of shit- doesn't provide him with Eternal youth... back them (he probably got it now-that he is a Gorosei- Old man forever) (he still keep the Hairdo..duh)
You can say Gunko... and Juu Peter.. from all the Goro's got the best deals..aside from the obvious appearances of keeping the "Five Elders" as old dudes being a proper facade to the world, i can also imagine Imu being extremely wary of anyone too young, too malleable in their ways. the older you get the more set in your ways you get, and that's far more useful than ambitious upstarts still trying to prove themselves for advancement. i can absolutely see Garling as being savvy enough to hide his ambitions well enough that Imu either doesn't notice or doesn't care.
Garling is on that page with everyone trying to find the One Piece, and out of everyone there (aside from silhouette I assume is Shamrock) I have the least idea of what his motivations for finding it would be aside from somehow overthrowing Imu.

Welp..you have to admit that Oda's made him Insanely Handsome.. and OH boy he was so friking full of himself... i remember when he said he "placed an order for himself" regarding getting the best Waifu "Shakky" like ordering in an Auto Mac... Losing.. all his good look, it wasn't something very pleasing for him probably... Speeeciallyyy knowing Imu's did have the power to Keep you young forever...Ehh, I wouldn't be surprised. Immortality is always better when you can be eternally young instead of being stuck as old man. I hate what he did but with all honesty, just like you said: he did A LOT. There is the possibility of fruits themselves having Haki. We have Ragnir the Hammer behaving in it's true nature with it's willpower on fully display. So there is some degree of will power from a fruit inhabiting an inanimate object. We have already been shown how can Imu be sent back to his very relaxing flower room, and that is a massive display of conqueror’s haki, but, is there someone on Elbaph who can do it? Nope, not a chance, but on the flashback we have already been told that haki can be combined as Roger and Garp did to nerf Rocks, and Gaban already told Luffy that several of his crewmates have it, Loki also has it, so maybe everyone who has conqueror’s haki combine it into a mega blast that sends Imu home, of course, not before he defeats the Strawhats as they have never been defeated.”
I did say a while back that Garling might be plotting to betray/take the throne, so I'm on board with that one, but in regards to the silhouette: Shamrock was right handed when dealing with Loki, and that character is clearly left handed.Garling is on that page with everyone trying to find the One Piece, and out of everyone there (aside from silhouette I assume is Shamrock) I have the least idea of what his motivations for finding it would be aside from somehow overthrowing Imu.
We're getting that love triangle flashback at some point. lolThere must be flashbakc to joyboy era at some point
