If imu does get a devil devil fruit reveal then I wonder how exactly does it summoning things into being factor into this. With luffy him doing stuff is largely attributed to him having cartoon powers which defy common sense but to me it's not obvious why a devil devil fruit would be able to conjure flintlocks or canons into being. The trident is definitely relevant but the rest... sounds weird. Of course, the most likely answer to any of this is "don't think about it we are going by rule of cool" but it'd definitely be more interesting if oda was taking inspiration from something more specific.
