The author simply eliminated almost all the main villains from the work; there's almost nothing left to sustain the story in the long term, and I think having an anniversary cover is the bare minimum.
There's a whole angel race that hasn't been touched yet, only mentioned, the author can also simply create new villains, there's nothing stopping him from doing it, people were going and going on during the Black Parade about how there was nothing left for the author to do and yada yada only for the author to simply start a new arc and continue the story normally.

Anniversary cover should be the bare minimum (Nue says hello!), but that's not how Jump works many times and many (not me, i was expecting) really didn't expected Kiyoshi to get one.

Neither had Akira Toriyama. You don't have to plan years in advance to write a good manga.
To be fair Dragon Ball started and went for few years as a adventure manga without a big serious plot, so it was definitely easier for Toriyama to just go along with the wave

Look, just because something is mentioned in the story doesn't mean it will be explored.
For example, the Heian era of Jujutsu Kaisen was mentioned a lot in the manga, but there wasn't a Heian era arc. The same with the dwarves in Black Clover.

You said that the author left nothing to sustain the series in the long term and i pointed out that it has lol

Akira Toriyama always seemed to want to end Dragon Ball since the Frieza arc, but the editor always insisted on continuing the story.
I mean, I also think that Kiyoshi blew its load too early, but that argument your using kind of immediately falls apart given the Android/Cell arcs are usually tied with the Freiza arc by fans as the best in the series.

The point is, Usui does have things he can use for future plots. You're really good at invalidating your own arguments.

Did we see the Heian era arc in Jujutsu? Or the dwarf arc in Black Clover?
Having elements that can be used in future plots doesn't mean they will be used.
Stop chasing after others, okay.

Even during the Androids/Cell arc, Toriyama wanted to finish Dragon Ball, so much so that you could feel the author's exhaustion during the Majin Buu arc.

Okay and? Has Usui said he wants to end Kiyoshi? Your comparison doesn't make any sense.

Now that I’m fully caught up with Kiyoshi, I honestly don’t see the story lasting much longer. Of course, the author could choose to extend it and plan new developments to stretch things out a bit. But given the current dynamics, the protagonist’s status and strength, and the number of powerful enemies he’s already defeated, it feels like there will come a point where continuing the story without it slipping into parody will be pretty difficult.

Isn't it kinda partly parody/satire anyway? It's called Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi and he's the super duper strong ultimate exorcist, stronger than everyone else etc.

I guess it's played a bit more serious at times than others like it (Mashle for example) but I always thought it was supposed to kinda be a power fantasy type series where Kiyoshi is nigh unbeatable anyway.

Also there's nothing really stopping the author from introducing stronger things for him to fight anyway. It's not like the power system is strict, it's very lax. It kinda operates on DBZ rules a bit. Boom, there is now a new Demon Lord stronger than him. Boom there are now angels who are stronger than him. And so on. It's kinda got that feel of a "retro" battle shounen where they can introduce new threats at any point, for any reason.

(I could be wrong, in which case LMAO, I've been misreading the series and what type of series it's trying to be this whole time)

I guess, but Kiyoshi has been overpowered since chapter 1. At the very least I expect the series to introduce the angels that have already been hinted at after they finish off the demon lords.

My only reason for doubting an angels arc is that the final demon lord is the guy who killed Kiyoshi's parents + Sosuke's mother. So whenever he shows up, it'll be the fight that feels like the most "climactic" and personal for the series, and I don't see how battling angels could expand from there. And then doing an angels arc before the final demon lord feels odd, if anything it'll turn out his minions are angels, I feel.

I don't think Kiyoshi confrontng his parents murderer necsasarily has to be the climax to the series, but moreso the climax to a part 1.
If there's an angels arc, I see that coming after the demon lords are done with/made friendly as it's revealed the angels have been pulling the strings the whole time or some shit like that.

Since no one asked, I'm gonna share my Roster for the Smash 64 equivalent anyways now and my reasonings when applicable:
First game (2001-02)
BASE ROSTER:
1. Son Goku (Dragon Ball) [The face of Shōnen Jump and defined Shōnen manga for years to come]
2. Arale Norimaki (Dr. Slump) [From Jump's most legendary name's first series]
3. Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece) [Rising star and one of the big pillars of Jump]
4. Jotaro Kujo (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) [Most iconic JoJo protagonist from the most popular part that introduces a power system that separates itself from the crowd]
5. Himura Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin) [I know you guys would prefer having no RuroKen, but I added him here because he is a significant part of Jump's History, for better or for worse and Shueisha would still include him. Plus, the series helped kept the series afloat and the author behind Jump's best selling series was a very notable assistant for him]
6. Yusuke Urameshi (YuYu Hakusho) [One of the 90s most defining series and popularized the Supernatural/Exorcism subgenre for years to come]
7. Gon Freecss (Hunter x Hunter) [Another iconic Togashi protagonist of a newly popular work, in spite of several hiatuses]
8. Yugi Muto (Yu-Gi-Oh) [Main protagonist of a manga with a famous TCG tie-in, many Western players would be familiar with him thanks to the anime]
9. Yoh Asakura (Shaman King) [Would have just gotten an anime]
10. Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto) [Another rising star that would become one of the 3 faces of Jump, would be added to celebrate the then recent anime]
UNLOCKABLES:
11. Vegeta (Dragon Ball) [The most iconic rival from the most iconic series]
12. Nami (One Piece) [Was originally gonna be the 2nd Straw Hat before Oda decided to go with Zoro]
13. Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star) [The OG Battle Shōnen protagonist that would shape Shōnen Jump alongside Dragon Ball]
14. Kankichi Ryotsu (KochiKame) [The protagonist of Jump's longest running series]
15. Pegasus Seiya (Saint Seiya) [Would define the Magical Boy & Bishonen parts of Shōnen for years to come, plus would add some gameplay variety]
16. Kuriboh (Yu-Gi-Oh) [Thought it would make for a fun Jigglypuff equivalent]
What do you guys think?
Melee Equivalent (2003-04)
Everyone returns:
+ = new addition
STARTING ROSTER:
1. Son Goku (Dragon Ball)
2. Piccolo (Dragon Ball) + (The OG Big Bad of Dragon Ball turned friendly rival)
3. Son Gohan (Dragon Ball) + (Son of Son Goku & fighting to prove his legacy)
4. Frieza (Dragon Ball) + (An iconic Shōnen Jump villain and one that would codify many of the tropes with it, Bowser equivalent)
5. Arale Norimaki (Dr. Slump)
6. Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)
7. Roronoa Zoro (One Piece) + (Luffy's first mate & infamous 3-sword fighter)
8. Tony Tony Chopper (One Piece) + (A reindeer doctor that are the Human Human fruit and can use multiple forms for his fighting style thanks to the Rumble Ball)
9. Jotaro Kujo (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
10. Joseph Joestar (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) + (Would imagine being able to choose between his Part 2 appearance as an aggressive Hamon user or Part 3 for his defensive Stand abilities, not too unlike Sheik or Zelda)
11. Himura Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin)
12. Yusuke Urameshi (Yu Yu Hakusho)
13. Gon Freecss (Hunter x Hunter)
14. Yugi Muto (Yu-Gi-Oh!)
15. Yoh Asakura (Shaman King)
16. Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto)
17. Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star)
18. Kankichi Ryotsu (KochiKame)
19. Pegasus Seiya (Saint Seiya)
20. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo + (Wanted to have a WTF character in there, not too unlike the Ice Climbers)
UNLOCKABLES:
21. Vegeta (Dragon Ball)
22. Kid Goku (Dragon Ball) + (The Dr. Mario/Young Link equivalent to Goku)
23. Nami (One Piece)
24. Portgas D. Ace (One Piece) + (A fan-favorite who brings his Logia abilities to the party)
25. Kuriboh (Yu-Gi-Oh)
26. Dark Magician Girl (Yu-Gi-Oh) + (Pichu equivalent)
27. Tao Ren (Shaman King) + (Falco equivalent & Yoh's rival)
28. Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach) + (Rising star in the early 2000s scene & Marth equivalent)
29. Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto) + (Shōnen Rival codifier & reflection of Naruto's booming popularity post-anime)
30. Kakashi Hatake (Naruto) + (Arguably the most popular Naruto character & similar reason to Sasuke)
31. Dio Brando (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) + (Iconic JoJo villain & Ganondorf equivalent)
32. Seto Kaiba (Yu-Gi-Oh) + (Mewtwo equivalent, added due to the popularity of the series overseas)
33. Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach) + (Roy equivalent, 2nd rep.to celebrate the anime)
34. Eve (Black Cat) + (Thought her fighting style would make for a unique first rep for Black Cat)
35. Hige Godzilla (Harenchi Gakuen) + (A very old school pick & a WTF one comparable to Mr. G&W. would like it if he was animated in a way that really shows his age, as he would be animated in a 70s cel anime style)
