I mean that durability/shinsu resistance matters when dealing with DTG like in any other FB piercing technique, it's not a conceptual attack like disconnection that simply has the property of severing anything shinsu related no questions asked. In video game terms, It's like a great ultimate move with amazing dmg multipliers, guaranteed crit etc. but if the enemy is tanky enough it won't be a one shot, there are people in the Top 50 let's say with shinsu resistances/bodies 10x or even 100x tougher than Kallavan's, it's not just the Irregulars.

Hmm, my assumption usually is that to some extent at least floral butterfly is meant to counter durable types like kallavan. And being fugs signature technique, zahard.

I wouldn't say it's a good example. The Khun Family competition itself is a good example but A.A. got affected by this to the point that Kiseia became his Nemesis. We have moments where blood ties is valued(blatant nepotism like the Eurasia dude saving Irure etc) but betrayal is common as well.

I had already said that I was talking about CC level and people above that
DTG is suposed to be a one shot move against anyone in CC tier
and I'd say that even a regent wouldn't want to take one head-on, Dumas certainly dont

The thing is that it's his Transcendental Move so it's his ultimate technique to defeat an opponent. There is no reason to believe that it can one shot anyone if it lands for sure and it's just one move. Overall abilities matter more and that's where he is lacking. Someone like Yasratcha would be able to injure Kallavan much more casually. Jinsung is so dependent on this move now that when we are talking about him in potential matchups, DTG becomes the main topic.

I get that, the issue is simply whether people are willing to take SIU’s statements over what they actually saw

by what we saw: Kallavan manhandle Jinsung
by SIU statement: they're same lvl and Kall victory wasn't even certain if Mas didn't step in

I think something more akin to an eel is the best we'll get.


But somewhere in there is still gonna be a Whale theme with the guardian still which seems to be the constant even for Headon which is true for it's representation because Whales are the guardians of the Deep.
