Kinda funny the KGB popularity poll description basically confirms Iori is the main heroine. Sorry Hiyuki fans

Tbf I expect both to get something in the later parts of part 2. Hiyuki also had a backstory hint in the Rakuzaichi, so I wouldn't count her out yet! You can't see it but I'm crossing my fingers on that.

And Kinato is going through the motions, not much energy in it anymore.
lol you're just feeling like this because you know the series is potentially getting axed this round, the chapter has literally the same energy as the early chapters, if it was the same content but with the rankings in the middle you would have a different feeling towards it.

A good example is how a few japanese readers are talking about this weekly Under Doctor chapter because of the bottom 3, thinking this is just the author doing whatever he wants because "it's axed already" when it's literally the opposite lmao!

Alright, just as promised, here are all of the raw one shots from this issue of Jump Giga Spring 2026. I will post them based on the order in the respective TOC(I will later make a post about my thoughts on each one, so stay tuned for that one):

Otohi Ogi with "Pyurifaiāzu"

Shigeto Kiji with "Raifu ∞"

Yoshiharu Kataoka (Ping Pong Peril) with "Saikyo Joreishi Kan-chan!", with an official color page

Hidechika Matsui with " The Demon of Shadow Burial" or known as "Kagesou no Akuma"

Wamino with " Miyabi yuē Wa Ku"

Shun Yabe with "Onmyo Donkan Massugu se Ima"

Kemuri Taimatsu with “Pen wa ken yori etosetora"

Tatara Kyou with 'Inyoroku Battle Fantasy Bu'

Daiki Nono with "On Stage", with an official color page

Wataru Kuroki, as the writer, and Takeshi Kuroiwa, as the illustrator, with "Hangetsu kurīningusābisu"

Hayashi Tatsuya, with "Mamono no Yusha"

Odoru Issei with “Shinran - KAMURAN - ”

Takumi with "OHALIVE"

Jou Tanakura with "Kitsune no yume"

Murano Shiki(Or Fumuki Murano) with "Yamori no Iemori"

Fujisawa Shinobu with "Aze no mamoribito" or known as "Guardians of the rice paddies"

Hokazono Akira, with "Sūpānakkuru ojōsama" or known as "Super Knuckle Lady"

Fuji Tomoya with 'Niide Reiran'

Chihiro Okuno with "Nairu to Noeru"

Otohi Ogi with "Pyurifaiāzu": I overall like how the action was make. But I think a bit more experienced on his hand he can do him favors in the long run. But I did enjoy the art and the labelling quite well.

Shigeto Kiji with "Raifu ∞": I really like the power the main lead as well as how the overall characters and settings made it feel more sentimental.

Yoshiharu Kataoka (Ping Pong Peril) with "Saikyo Joreishi Kan-chan!": Yeah, I think Kataoka delivered to the team and the author did managed to improve the aUdio. Also the overall meet cute the main lead has with the most.

Hidechika Matsui with " The Demon of Shadow Burial" or known as "Kagesou no Akuma":I like the overall action and art that accompanies it. Everything was expressive and interesting to see. Would live to see more of you guys around.

Wamino with " Miyabi yuē Wa Ku": Ballet is not for me, but boy was it choke full of drama between the two main ladies and I though it was an insane driving force for the story itself. While the kid is still young to debut anything I still find this being an author that will change the manga landscape in some way.

Shun Yabe with "Onmyo Donkan Massugu se Ima": Yeah same thing again with Anti Service, trying to make something original with the exocist genre than its time to give and I admit I thought it was a cutesy one shot.

Kemuri Taimatsu with “Pen wa ken yori etosetora": I like the art style and overall idea of an average worker working with a chick who fights monsters to be kinda interesting. I really wanna see Kemuri's new stories.

Tatara Kyou with 'Inyoroku Battle Fantasy Bu';I admit. I really that ought it would be another generic exocist one shot. But holy shit, did this one shot deliver on its uniqueness also the art style does really work well in making the labelling and the character dynamics shine. I am know willing to follow what else Kyou could too.

My overall thoughts on all the one shots from jump giga spring 2026:
Daiki Nono with "On Stage". Sorry, is this the same Nono who put too much focus on open mounths? Cause he definitely did a major upgrade in illustrations within the magazine. Honestly, respect.

Wataru Kuroki, as the writer, and Takeshi Kuroiwa, as the illustrator, with "Hangetsu kurīningusābisu": I admit mixing cleaning with exorcism is kinda original. Too bad that Ogi had a similar idea. But it still was interested ing to see how everything was going to go down.

Hayashi Tatsuya, with "Mamono no Yusha"; Okay, I liked the overall idea that the story was going with and I admit the art was great as well as its panelling. I would very much wish to see what Tatsuya could bring.

Odoru Issei with “Shinran - KAMURAN - ”: When I was seeing the art my thoughts were that the protagonist was somehow related to the protagonist of Under Doctor. Cause the art style does seem similar in some ways. However I do think the exocist one shot was rather cliche and somewhat predictable. But the art was nice. Just need practices to make the series better.

Takumi with "OHALIVE": Yet another exocist type one shot. But I will admit the art help make the story be interesting and appealing to readers. However I would hope to see more of them doing different types of genres for their future one shots.

Jou Tanakura with "Kitsune no yume": Honestly, the author is quite ready to debut. Cause by god, the art was great and what it delivered in paneling and the pieces of the story were really good in my opinion. Would love to see this author debut in the magazine proper.

Murano Shiki(Or Fumuki Murano) with "Yamori no Iemori"; Personally, much prefer his previous one shot than the one we got. Mostly cause it felt really generic exorcism type stuff. I will say that at least it had a genuine interesting twist from what I could gather so at the very least it had that going for it. I would suggest he goes back to his roots and focus strongly more in feudal Japanese mythology.

Fujisawa Shinobu with "Aze no mamoribito" or known as "Guardians of the rice paddies"; I thought the art style was unique for the plot of the story and I could genuinely feel the chemistry between the two leads in a heart beat. Would love to see more of this author.

Hokazono Akira, with "Sūpānakkuru ojōsama" or known as "Super Knuckle Lady": I liked what i saw, the action was clean and the overall paneling was rather well made. Have high hopes for the author.

Fuji Tomoya with 'Niide Reiran': Not going to lie, for some reason, I really dislike this gag one shot. I think it mostly stems from how I see the protagonist just being unpleasant in my opinion. Also I felt like the comedic affects it was going for did not land well from what I have seen. So I suggest the author improves the comedy greatly before thinking of making a full blown series.

Chihiro Okuno with "Nairu to Noeru"; The art is unique but I think its still a bit rough around the edges at times. However I did like what I saw as a plot and overall think the author just needs to improve the art over time.

Hoping to see some reviews and opinions on the one shots in general. I will post my top favorites in a later post.

Torishima being old man that yells at clouds lately
Yup, genuinely annoying guy, thinks he has the midas touch in manga just because he was Toriyama editor lol

Why can't you believe my actual opinion is just my opinion, I was literally praising JK just a few weeks ago when it was getting axed.

Like you said, Kinato is doing the same it did before, so my reaction to it of course won't be as strong, especially when these characters that get the massage barely get used by the story. Linae just got sidelined again and the previous girls aren't around as well, doing the same to a random character I know nothing about isn't as interesting.

I believe is your actual opinion, but that is directly affected by the feeling of the series being potentially dead and axed in next round, so naturally things will just not hit as before, that happens all the time when you know something is dead or potentially axed already, of course it doesn't work the same with every series as you described JK being the opposite.

Same. Not all of them, but it's irritating how many people are writing off all of his points just because he criticized some of their favorite manga.
Love how passionate he is about his opinions.

Making this kind of stuff clear is why they need to bring back the Jump heroines arts. .
Imagine if Chihiro somehow makes it instead

Exactly. He is fucking spot on about jjk being crap and choked full of narration. Gege does not give a shit about readers and payoff.

And the one about doublespread pages not being in consideration of page margin is 100% correct. Even miura and kishimoto did that mistake.

Look at this examples

I really do not understand how TF Kishi did that Sasuke doublespread. The original one was printed on WSJ magazine!! Surely at least his editor would have pointed that out

The one about "only japanese" can make manga is crap though. Boichi exist
