Yeah, i can't think of a previous silhouette for her. I think people assumed a similar look to hon based on blog post vibes but that's about it. I am going to put my stocks in shin using compression to get this look whereas her true form has more of a babe/aura factor to it.

I suppose but to an extent build isn't THAT important to this sort of thing. There are characters for whom build will be important and others for whom it will be wholly unrelated to their power. Most princesses look soft and delicate but in practice are physically stronger than even people tiers above them. Shin has the design or aura of a normal regular, not the design or aura of a supremely powerful ruler of the tower.

Thinking about it, I hope SIU isn't pulling some weird perspective prank and it turns out that right now shin is 4 meters tall or some nonsense like that.

Obviously she has great strength but Zahard Princesses are kinda different since they are all from different families. Most of the ones we know aren't Needle users too. Shin is the progenitor of the family of Needle Users so if she wasn't one I would find it rather disappointing.

Fair enough. her entrance seemingly came with the very ocean reacting to her and her shinsoo attracting lightning... So I am thinking we might have a weird scenario where her shinsoo attribute actually is shinsoo shaped like water. I suppose her attribute could be a water needle though I am not sure of how I feel about that. Add to that that while water conducting lightnign is a perfectly ok trope it attracting lightning doesn't necessarily make sense.

I forget, did evankhel maybe comment on sharon's ari family needle skills? I feel like that happened but maybe evankhel didn't specifically refer to the ari family.

Ok, found the chapter. Evankhel specifically talks about ari family needle... using? Needlemanship? So if SIU retconned this it isn't only erasing blogposts, it's retconning something that was stated in the manga. I suppose it's possible that not all ari family members get a special needle or whatever as sharon said they do. And rankers we are seeing now are the absolute bottom of the ari family, being relegated to watching closed off wells and using underhanded methods to remove regulars from the climb. Rankers who never got special needles.

Do the party roles even have relevance to the story anymore? Every main character is an other so powerful they're functionally every role or such a side character that they're basically relegated to light bearer (thinking of AA here).

when the series was about tests that seemed to take the form of brutal games the roles made a lot of sense but first the tests devolved into mostly being fights to the death and then they just stopped mattering entirely when Traumerei became the main antagonist. The story of s3 wouldn't really be any different if Bam had been a fisherman instead of a wave controller way back at the beginning. He's had so many powerups that his fighting style always looks like a mix of both.

i also wish that unique aspect of the story had stuck around but it's clearly not where SIU's head is at so I'm not surprised or upset that the Ari FH's new design is inconsistent with their role as described earlier on.

it seems like a lot of people really enjoy the FH lore so i get their disappointment, but the lore that compels me more is the mysteries of the tower itself and the motivations of its creators and administrators, which we have even less of in the blog posts than we do about the family heads.

True , but even then all the shining ones are entering the tower like its an open buffet , what is the point of guardians if they dont guard , the will of phantanuim is prevent the birth of the new axis yet the purpose of the tower is to birth that axis . i see no logic that the administrators dong yeet them out , not a single one of them seemed powerful enough administrators weren't even scared of enryu yet now they act like meh i am blind

Yeah, the Purple Thryssa is definitely a weird one.


Undoubtedly sure that it's still alive and gonna play a part in Season 4, would be so funny if it meets Urek again tho and we get a goofy reintroduction when he recognizes it.

The PT sure didn't seem like it was able to take on Eduan. And we have Eduan willing to let the biggest threat go but not the others. There is prophecy stuff but this is one of these moments where SIU tries to have his cake and eat it.

Where do we go from there? Urek is now in front of 2 FHs and there is the SC who will be tailed by the Shinies. Is he trying to go to Ari? Kill Baek? Urek VS Shin seems like the most straightforward development but Eduan is there too. I doubt they will simply discuss.

Positions? Yes, they matter. Though at a certain level you can generally do well at every positions. They still are relevant to their fighting styles. They aren't that different from RPG Classes. I mean, you can't deny that Eduan is a Spear Bearer. It's also more relevant in teams in general.

A.A. is a Light Bearer-Spear Bearer hybrid. He neglected spear bearing for a while and he is on his way to become a Sorcerer.

Convoluted and unlikely IMO. What about the original one then? A successor would also be much weaker than any FH and I doubt they could talk to Eduan like this.

Gustang would have gone scorched earth on some random Towerborn no matter of what birth origins take control over something as important as the Ari Family and the things they guard.

Gustang is definitely more reasonable than that but yes, I agree with most of what you said. With Traumerei, we would probably get empty threats . Eduan and Gustang are the only ones who did something like that.

There's always an exception to the rule yes, anything outside of Enne doesn't get such grace.
