The game name is Sheep

How to play

1- Each participant will pm the host with their answers for the questions. You are not allowed to share your answers with anyone else.
2- Your objectives is parallel your answers with as many other players as possible, and get the highest score.
3- Try guessing the most popular answer.
4- There is no wrong answer.

Rules

1- The number of questions shouldn't exceed 12 questions and not less 8 questions.
2- "I don't know" will get 0 points. If you can't answer just use google or any search engine or simply put any answer.
3- The winner will host the next sheep.
4- In case we have 2 winners or more having the same points, The host will pick someone randomly as the winner or one of the winners would let the other do it.
5- If the winner didn't make the next sheep within 3 days the previous winner shall do it and if he didn't. Anyone can do it just to keep this game running.
6- Calculations and gathering answers is time consuming so the host has a whole week to do it. If he/she didn't post the answers and announce the winner after 7 days. The next sheep would be free to anyone to do it.

This thread is currently just a test, to save on people having to go on mass tagging sprees - if the test is successful, we can keep on using it.
If the test fails (other than being extremely disappointed) then nothing will be lost and we can go back to ignoring it and tagging people like there's no tomorrow.

Warring Sheep Era - Prelude (Sheep Game 135)

​

1. You live in a small, peaceful village, unbothered and unaware of the world at large. Everyone in the village likes and trusts you. You primarily make your living as:

A. A shepherd herding sheep
B. A rice farmer
C. A hunter hunting for food in the woods
D. Being a carpenter(building/repairing houses and anything wooden)

2. Life was simple. Until it wasn't. One day a group of soldiers came to the village. Supposedly your village is part of the state of Yang( 羊 ) and as such all able bodied men and women are being drafted for an upcoming defensive battle. While initially uncooperative, your fellow villagers become more accepting of the situation after being told that their village will be pillaged by the invading state if Yang loses the battle. What are your thoughts on it?

* 羊 means Sheep

A. Refuse. With thousands of soldiers on each side, surely it doesn't change the outcome if you participate in it. What happens happens. But doing this will certainly tank your reputation in the village as a coward and leech, and perhaps even have legal consequences from the state.
B. Accept, but when the day comes you don't show up or desert when the battle starts. Surely no one will notice, and if they do they may not survive the battle to report you anyway.
C. Accept. Right now you can still make a difference, but if the battle is lost you will only find out when it is too late, the enemies arrive and your pitchfork will be helpless. You also have to make sure your friends from the village survive the ordeal.
D. Flee your village, searching for a new village further away from the frontlines. Surely there's a village somewhere that won't be drafted and you can start from scratch there, working some very menial labor but in safety.

3. Somehow, despite your plans and wishes you end up roped into going to battle with your fellow villagers. On the way to the battlefield you and your friends all talk about your preferred weapons:

A. Sword and shield. Classic stuff. Stay behind the shield and strike when there's an opening. But you'll be on the front of the frontlines.
B. Spear. You can poke them before they can come close enough to hurt you, right? Wait, they also have spears?
C. Bows. Can shoot from a distance and be safe, but archers often get focused down and ambushed, very defenseless if caught..
D. Cavalry! Trample the enemy peasants beneath the horse's hooves! Oh, but horses are difficult to ride, and if they are hit you fall off and could die just from that.

4. Silly naive villagers, knowing nothing about war. You don't get a choice. Horses for peasants? Yeah right. Here's a sword and go line up. The best you can do is have you and your friends stick together, form a tight unit and cover each other's backs. Fortunately you notice that each queue goes to a different area of the battlefield. Traditionally battlefield formations split soldiers into the center, the left wing and the right wing. You take your group of friends and line up for...

A. The center - on wide open plains. The main HQ of your army is here and it is of utmost importance to protect. The plains offer no way to run or hide, but fellow soldiers and the HQ can quickly respond and reorganize, send help if you need it and react to enemy ambushes, so you rely on your commander being better than the enemy one.
B. The left wing - in a thick forest. The many trees will make visibility difficult and fighting even more so. But the terrain gives you more options in how to approach the fighting. Best not lose sight of the rest of the army or you will find yourself lost in the woods.
C. The right wing - in a mountainous terrain. Defending is easier here if you set up right, and even if the enemy has more soldiers they cannot fully utilize the numbers advantage in the narrow spaces. But if you are told to push forward into their mountain defenses the same upsides apply to the enemy..

5. The fighting begins in your chosen location, and you are actually doing well! Many of the enemy soldiers are conscripts just like yourself, without experience. You ended up being the leader of your group of villagers, and you are responsible for their survival. They will do what you tell them.

The battlefield at large is an unkind place, however. You see many soldiers from your side struggling, wounded or worse. You recognize a man who was boasting of his strength before the battle began - now in dire straits as his unit is getting decimated. He did seem very strong, but alone he may not make it as he and his squad are surrounded. What do you do?

A. Rush to save him and whats left of his soldiers. He seems really strong, he can't fall here. But the enemy are proper soldiers and not conscripts, so you may suffer wounds or even losses of your villager friends in the attempt...
B. Wait and watch. Rushing in now could get your friends killed. If he is as strong as he says and looks, he should be able to prevail. Maybe you can swoop in once he takes out enough enemies for you to be able to do a quick backstab on the remaining enemy soldiers, avoiding risky fighting, at the risk of more of his soldiers' lives and him getting wounded/killed if he fails.
C. Leave him fully to himself, leave the area and regroup with more soldiers of other units and await commands. Formations collapsing and making too many own choices could lead to bigger problems and expose weak points to the enemy.

6. The first bout of fighting is slowly coming to an end, with your side coming out on top! The enemies flee and you gain ground. As you are about to go gather all your scattered friends, you notice an enemy soldier still alive but wounded, not in fighting shape anymore. Doesn't seem important, just another nameless soldier in the sea of nameless soldiers. Should you do something?

A. Kill him. This is ancient China, an infected wound will likely kill him later even if he makes it out of here alive. You can at least spare him further pain and agony. And even if he were to survive it, won't he be conscripted to fight again in the future? One less enemy.
B. He is clearly no threat anymore. Let him flee and instruct your friends to leave him be as well. But this isn't just an emotional choice, you rationalize that it is an extra mouth to feed and extra person they must tend wounds to, so it puts further strain on the enemy.
C. Capture him. Sure he may look like an unimportant guy, but maybe he knows something useful for your superiors? Though even if he doesn't die in captivity, he will surely be put into slavery work. Better than dying right?
D. Talk to him and help tend to his wounds. He is a human just like you, not just an enemy soldier. Perhaps he could even join you like in a Fire Emblem game!

7. Eventually the dust settles, the commander in charge of your location gathers all soldiers and reforms ranks. You either still have all the villagers in your unit in fighting shape or lost some, but had the strong man you saved merge units with you with as many soldiers of his that survived.
Noticing your unit's decent fighting strength, the commander includes you more directly in the next attack. The enemy is on the backfoot, a decisive strike with a good strategy could lead to a major victory here in your chosen location.

However, right as the strategy is about to be explained to all units, an urgent messenger arrives. The main headquarters(HQ) with General Shepard is being attacked by a strong enemy force! A devious strategy tricked them into thinking the battlefields are largely even, when all along you had the advantage on all fronts numbers-wise, while a big detachment of enemy troops made it to your HQ! If the general falls the battle is surely lost.

However, everyone turning back now would just lead to being stabbed in the back by enemy pursuits. Your commander decides to split the forces. Where do you want to go?

A. Join the half that is rushing to defend the HQ. If you make it in time and save the general you may get a lot of recognition and rewards! And even if you don't make it in time, that's still the best location to flee if the battle ends in a loss.
B. Join the half that is pushing forward. While there are less soldiers attacking now, the strategy devised by your commander is still very good and likely to lead to a major victory here. Even if your HQ doesn't fall, that's hardly a win as you still need to destroy the enemy HQ. Knowing the enemy has less soldiers is a weakness you can exploit!
C. Suggest a new strategy to your commander: everyone falls back to HQ, or at least we make it look like that. As the enemy comes out of their fortifications to rush after you and punish your army's withdrawal, your unit and several others hide and ambush the pursuers! This could severely reduce enemy numbers and make tomorrow's battle much more favorable. But if the enemy decides not to pursue, you will have wasted the day in hiding with many soldiers, tanking morale and losing advantage while the enemy fortify their positions further.

8. Many fights later, and you have done it. The general is reportedly safe, your army did well on all fronts and the enemy army sees the writing on the wall. They retreat! Your country of Yang is victorious! What's the first thing you want to do now?

A. Gather your unit and other likeminded soldiers and chase after them! More blood for the blood god! Make them unable to launch another invasion anytime soon.
B. Gather all your friends, check who is still alive, does anyone need their wounds treated? Becky wanted her husband back in one piece after all.
C. Go meet your commander. Surely a reward is in order for your performance. Maybe you even get to meet the famous General Shepard! Gotta do some networking!
D. Head home ASAP. Your friends know the way back. The officers know where to find you for any rewards and promotions. You are really done with all this war stuff and want to go back to your comforting everyday life. A comfy bed and tasty food being your first goals, and of course the adoration of all the villagers back at home! Maybe your childhood sweetheart will finally take notice?

9. Weeks later, soldiers visit your village again. But this time they want you specifically. Your successes have been noticed and you get an official promotion to 200-man commander! It seems unimaginable, but you could really climb the military hierarchy if you wanted to. Now what?

A. "Sweet, a new wall decoration!". You accept the honors but do not intend to pursue this further. Back to villager life. But if war comes to your lands again, you feel as if you are better able to handle it now.
B. Officially join the military, but mostly as your new cushy job. During peacetime it doesn't sound like a bad deal at all. You mostly have to train yourself and your soldiers, and stay ready for whenever needed. Seems much easier than what you did before, and much better paid. Surely there won't be any more battles anytime soon right?
C. Join the military but with career advancement in mind. General Shepard? More like General Shmepard! You'll show them how it's done and become a general yourself.

I could go the Brandish route and try out as Preacher but I ain't about it. Going to run an illegal gambling ring, I'll call it Kal Shi(卡尔希) and I'll have the villagers bet on all kinds of things, horse racing, fight clubs, politics in the capital, etc. It'll be rigged of course and I'll pocket all earnings and the villagers of Yang will find themselves trapped in a cycle of wanting to make up for their losses and coming back for more.

I love rice. You can never have too much rice.

The only work among those four choices that I have actually done.

As much as I'm good with the wood, I wouldn't be against the hunter-gatherer lifestyle. Might get me some deer

Don't question it, when you got business connections with the West, you have access to some goods that have yet to be introduced in the mainland. Is how it be ya know?

I like sword and shield though. Archer I like as well when I play RPGs, but it is the start of what I call the coward’s war. Striking from a distance. Trying to avoid being killed by putting yourself at large. True warriors fight face to face.
And cavalry, no thank you. Poor horses have nothing to do with our nonsensical fights.
With a spear, I can do some decent work in Sam’s bum.

As a hunter the bow is my weapon of choice. I can always have a sword as a secondary weapon

B. Wait and watch. Rushing in now could get your friends killed. If he is as strong as he says and looks, he should be able to prevail. 6. The first bout of fighting is slowly coming to an end, with your side coming out on top! The enemies flee and you gain ground. As you are about to go gather all your scattered friends, you notice an enemy soldier still alive but wounded, not in fighting shape anymore. Doesn't seem important, just another nameless soldier in the sea of nameless soldiers. Should you do something?

A. Kill him. This is ancient China, an infected wound will likely kill him later even if he makes it out of here alive. You can at least spare him further pain and agony. And even if he were to survive it, won't he be conscripted to fight again in the future? One less enemy. 4x shinobi, Copy Panda, Brandish, Juviii
B. He is clearly no threat anymore. Let him flee and instruct your friends to leave him be as well. But this isn't just an emotional choice, you rationalize that it is an extra mouth to feed and extra person they must tend wounds to, so it puts further strain on the enemy. 3x GrySun, Teubier, SirSamuel016

We don't have doctors here, just like the recent Mafia Game, so they should be put out of their misery.

Oh nah, we ain't doing no Fire Emblem thang, we doing a little thing called "you are now in my debt" wit a nice fat medical bill. The hustle don't stop, war or not.

while I would like to use them for intel being a slave is worse than death. Plus killing him means one less person to inform them about our soldiers or even to resent us.

7. Eventually the dust settles, the commander in charge of your location gathers all soldiers and reforms ranks. You either still have all the villagers in your unit in fighting shape or lost some, but had the strong man you saved merge units with you with as many soldiers of his that survived.
Noticing your unit's decent fighting strength, the commander includes you more directly in the next attack. The enemy is on the backfoot, a decisive strike with a good strategy could lead to a major victory here in your chosen location.

However, right as the strategy is about to be explained to all units, an urgent messenger arrives. The main headquarters(HQ) with General Shepard is being attacked by a strong enemy force! A devious strategy tricked them into thinking the battlefields are largely even, when all along you had the advantage on all fronts numbers-wise, while a big detachment of enemy troops made it to your HQ! If the general falls the battle is surely lost.

However, everyone turning back now would just lead to being stabbed in the back by enemy pursuits. Your commander decides to split the forces. Where do you want to go?

A. Join the half that is rushing to defend the HQ. If you make it in time and save the general you may get a lot of recognition and rewards! And even if you don't make it in time, that's still the best location to flee if the battle ends in a loss. 4x GrySun, shinobi, Brandish, Tatsumaki
B. Join the half that is pushing forward. While there are less soldiers attacking now, the strategy devised by your commander is still very good and likely to lead to a major victory here. Even if your HQ doesn't fall, that's hardly a win as you still need to destroy the enemy HQ. Knowing the enemy has less soldiers is a weakness you can exploit! 5x Demonspeed, Lady pompom, arrowofsky, Teubier, Juviii
C. Suggest a new strategy to your commander: everyone falls back to HQ, or at least we make it look like that. As the enemy comes out of their fortifications to rush after you and punish your army's withdrawal, your unit and several others hide and ambush the pursuers! This could severely reduce enemy numbers and make tomorrow's battle much more favorable. But if the enemy decides not to pursue, you will have wasted the day in hiding with many soldiers, tanking morale and losing advantage while the enemy fortify their positions further. 4x Erinyes, Copy Panda, Gryffindor, SirSamuel016

8. Many fights later, and you have done it. The general is reportedly safe, your army did well on all fronts and the enemy army sees the writing on the wall. They retreat! Your country of Yang is victorious! What's the first thing you want to do now?

A. Gather your unit and other likeminded soldiers and chase after them! More blood for the blood god! Make them unable to launch another invasion anytime soon. 1x Brandish
B. Gather all your friends, check who is still alive, does anyone need their wounds treated? Becky wanted her husband back in one piece after all. 3x Lady pompom, arrowofsky, Teubier
C. Go meet your commander. Surely a reward is in order for your performance. Maybe you even get to meet the famous General Shepard! Gotta do some networking! 3x GrySun, shinobi, Copy Panda
D. Head home ASAP. Your friends know the way back. The officers know where to find you for any rewards and promotions. You are really done with all this war stuff and want to go back to your comforting everyday life. B. Officially join the military, but mostly as your new cushy job. During peacetime it doesn't sound like a bad deal at all. You mostly have to train yourself and your soldiers, and stay ready for whenever needed. Seems much easier than what you did before, and much better paid. Congratulations to the winner(or to ones that didn't?), thanks for playing the Sheep. I intended to write a smaller, more war focused story but then went with the flow of writing and made the old era war from pov of the simple conscripted man. Hope you enjoyed it. I may do a continuation if I win again, depends if I feel inspired at that time.

I had a lot of fun reading all your comments, and a lot of questions were very evenly split among how many picked which option, which I consider a successful Sheep/well constructed options.
