I swear there was a time when siu barely went on hiatus,a time when tower of god had good story writing and was one of the most popular manhwa in the world.

It was called the one piece or hunter x hunter of south Korea .
God I miss those days

The format is different and their conditions aren't the same. Oda also has a break every 4 chapters or something.

Was SIU writing and drawing the spin-off? I thought it was being led by his assistents and the whole point of the spin-off was to give him time to focus on S4. Thats a bummer. I skipped the spin-off and thought S4 whould start right away.

Having assistants doesn't mean he doesn't draw himself too. Obviously his assistants weren't writing it.

Oda takes lot's of breaks. I don't mind hiatus. Just that SIU should give us a time of return. Also hopefully S4 continuation. While the lore we got from urek's spin off was good , the pacing of the story was bad.

It was quite a ridiculous assumption on your part i would say, maybe he changed assistants after S3 and planned for the ones who helped him in the spinoff to return for S4 with more experience, but that's about all he could have done to "prepare" for S4, he definitely didn't delegate everything in the spinoff to the assistants just to work on S4.

Oda goes on break once every month, sometimes twice. Which is precisely why he doesn't go on hiatus. And in that horrible industry getting so many breaks is huge.

LOL I don't think most people believe that SIU would take a break and leave a spin-off, plot and art to his assistants.

That's still his story.

Yeah, it makes perfect sense for SIU to announce the spinoff at the end of S3, be the author of the spinoff, have it publishing weekly for over a year and not actually work on it, I guess.

It could be a short break depending on how much of the current staff will carry on to work on the next project but nobody knows the details.

The ambiguity of duration is hard to bear xD
I can readily be ok with a monthly or bimonthly release as we would know when we will see the next chapter. On the contrary, it is mostly ambiguous with SIU.
Hopefully, not too long after we will see S4.

I don't think SIU will release the chapter until the free chapters in naver caught up should be about 3 weeks. Post hiatus after nest, he always puts up 6 chapters. So he needs to stack the chapter of worth 6 weeks at once.

Yup from the beginning of HT to the end of LS. That was masterclass writing. NHS is SIU’s best arc

Fandom was at an all time high going into S3, expectations SIU failed to meet!!! Half of S3 was mind numbing senseless flashbacks!!!

I am hearing ODA and SIU comparisons lol. SIU is not at that level, bro. Please stop, you guys. ODA gets a break in the industry because he has earned it by creating the biggest shonen ever, while SIU has been delivering garbage ever since season 2 ended. This is the absolute truth, and believe me, I did love early TOG. The season 1 and season 2 stretch was crazy with mad potential for the future, but SIU was not able to deliver.
