#6. Any tweet, specially japanese, about news, update or some interesting thing about the magazine or series has to come with a text of what that tweet means and also be on topic, if not it's going to be either deleted or i will edit the post.
#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

Shueisha have just dropped a new service (MANGA MILLION) currently hosts 382 manga titles, all of which are available in English - for free.

Still going through the list for new translations, but Kochikame getting hundreds of chapter released is kind of incredible. My completionism of the early years of Jump just got a bit easier.

Everybody, PLEASE READ LIAR GAME. It has over a hundred chapter available. I am shocked myself that it has that many.

One of the best psychological thriller manga I have read imo

The magazine numbers have decreased since long ago. Even before the inclusion of Kagurabachi and Ichi. And those manga sell ever since the beginning. Having manga that sell will not alter the decrease.

Investing in comedies isn't helping either. What you said only reinforces my argument. Kagurabachi and Ichi alone aren't enough.

You missed the point: If even investing on big hits like Kagurabachi and Ichi isn't helping, then it doesn't matter which genre to invest in. That is why we see multiple types of series on a magazine.

We don't have many different types of series in the magazine, just battle shonen and comedies, and a romance, of course—let's not forget Akane Banashe. But at least the battle shonen sell well, except for Kiyoshi and Shinobi Undercover. And the comedies aren't even seeing increased sales, yet the editors insist on keeping them.

The Comiq was simulpubbed by Viz so it being translated isn't anything new.

I'd guess some of the odder picks like spin-offs when they don't have the main series is because they're translating a bunch of series no western publishers picked up? I haven't had a look myself yet since I live in Japan and have to use a vpn for it.

Weirdly, in Japan, you can only read the first 108 chapters of One Piece and nothing else. Really strange choice.

Not gonna spoil what happens since i don't know if they're going to translate, but yes, the one shot is horror and mixed with action (some big scale action), and Horikoshi art looks amazing in the one shot, you can feel he really enjoyed drawing it, maybe is because i've been noticing a bit too much how current authors in the magazine are struggling to keep their art consistent and taking corners here and there but looking at Hori finished and clean artstyle is really satisfying, it's another level.

Does it feel like Horikoshi could make a series out of it or does it feel like more of a self contained one shot story without much chance of being a series?

The final page could give this impression but personally i don't think it feels like something it could become a series, more like a one time thing.

The episodic nature of UD will have it flip flop in the ToC. I think I’ve realized the inspiration for UD’s episodic format is because medical shows like ER and Greys are typically episodic. It’s going to be hard to grow as it currently is though and as we know Jump values growth and ToC more than sales. Tanimoto needs to do what medical shows like the Pitt do and do long arcs mostly focused on medical stuff with some action sprinkled in.

Really enjoying the anime so far; glad there is a way I can pick it up after the anime!

Also were now overall one step closer to weekly One-Shots being translated... I'll give it 50 years until they do that

The Pitt would treat that mass casualties chapter as 5 episodes, UD went full lol eye hax in 2. The beef with the doctor made it even worse

This is fucking awesome, they have stuff like the Viz Gintama and Reborn translations that haven't released digitally and stuff that still has awful fan scans like Bobobo and Sket Dance

Are the Bobobo and SKET Dance scans here of good quality?

Also they have translations of Lucky Man and Sexy Commando.

A few series have an "ongoing translation" notice in the description. Makes me wonder if the series that don't have it won't be completed, specially considering some stuff that is already fully translated only has a few chapters on this service (i.e. Hinomaru Sumo).
