#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

Horikoshi should have a monthly manga. His art is incredible, if he had more time like in a monthly series we could have a huge banger.

However I won't complain if he returns to weekly

We don't have many different types of series in the magazine, just battle shonen and comedies, and a romance, of course—let's not forget Akane Banashe. But at least the battle shonen sell well, except for Kiyoshi and Shinobi Undercover. And the comedies aren't even seeing increased sales, yet the editors insist on keeping them.

The problem isn't that Jump lacks genres.

It's that the population is aging, there's a shortage of young people, and digital content is much more preferable to print.

This is fucking awesome, they have stuff like the Viz Gintama and Reborn translations that haven't released digitally and stuff that still has awful fan scans like Bobobo and Sket Dance
If they get Beelzebub on there I might be set for life

I fear they'll only release some of the viz Gintama volumes and nothing beyond it. Especially because they only have 40 chapters of gintama planned anyway.

I mean, I thought it was obvious, I just didn't wanna say it on the infinitesimally small chance I was wrong. Did anyone really think shueisha would spend that much money and man-hours to drop hundreds of new translations in multiple languages, including a bunch of shoujo series no one's gonna read?

I know this is gonna be a scorching hot take but I don't mind AI translations so long as they have at least one knowledgeable supervisor to double-check and correct stuff. When I translated Asumi's extra chapter I used Google Translate, but I had to rely on my very basic japanese skills and my extensive MMA knowledge and obsession with both Hinomaru Sumo and Asumi to fill in any blanks (of which there were many). So it's okay in my mind as long as there's a real human behind the wheel, which, let's be honest, I'm not confident about.

Yeah it’s a shame those weren’t depowered. I get the author probably wants to avoid the need for a radiologist and scanner and instead get to the heart of everything but the eyes aren’t the best solution.

Everybody, PLEASE READ LIAR GAME. It has over a hundred chapter available. I am shocked myself that it has that many.

One of the best psychological thriller manga I have read imo

A great series. Very smartly written. The problem is that last chapter. One of the few times I audibly reacted to a manga with an exasperated groan.

They aren't doing everything for all languages. Most series are english only there and the other languages have just a few chapters, many of them are just the already translated versions that existed in these languages/countries and they probably licensed it for cheap and under specific rules by their publishers.

And I'm not sure these are slop translations because the quality is much higher than the garbage released on Mangaplus, with trash writing and lettering with words coming out of the bubbles, etc. I read a few volumes already. They even have specific content warnings to each chapter.

This Manga Million thing is just to drive people to MangaPlus, because you cannot read it all there. You're sent to MangaPlus for most of these works.

Are the Bobobo and SKET Dance scans here of good quality?

Also they have translations of Lucky Man and Sexy Commando.

I checked out the first chapters (and a few others) of both and compared them to the fan translation I had on hand
The actual scan resolution seems pretty much identical to the Japanese digital release though some of the lettering is iffy font-wise; it's definitely better for Sket Dance since its fan scans were scanned from the magazine itself
They translate sound effects and side comments that fan translations usually ignore
Bobobo's translation is much better grammar and readability-wise and uses the dub's terminology for character and place names rather than sticking to the original Japanese names (it's also different from Viz's short lived translation since it uses Don Patch instead of "Poppa Rocks")
Sket Dance is pretty much the same, it's just more localized than the fan translation (and better depending on the chapter due to its super inconsistent fan scans)

Glad about your thoughts. Also I know someone who does translation and they are going to see which ones were done by humans and the others by AI. So far, SKET Dance and Bobobo have been done by AI, and some of the translators from Viz had no idea about Manga Million and calling it out. I mean one example is The Comiq done by Takahashi and why retranslate it when the Viz one is sitting right there?

The mangamillion thing is pretty disappointing... I guess its good that Kiss x Death and some other untranslated jump titles are there, but at the same time, tons of them are missing.
