#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

Well it's not really uncommon for mc to be that low, there are: Raku - Nisekoi (6th-7th-11th), Kogarashi - Yuuragi Sou (10th), Nariyuki - BokuBen (7th-9th), Sakamoto (5th-8th), Mukai (7th), Baki (7th), Kiyomine - Oblivion Battery (7th-6th), Uryu - Amagami Sister (8th) , Shirou - Fate (7th -11th), etc

I'm rewatching Bleach right now in prep for Hell Arc and just finished Soul Society and I gotta say I'm not surprised that Hitsugaya was so popular. I feel like characters like that are almost always a lock for top 3 in popularity if they exist in a battle shonen. That 'young prodigy with a high rank' feels like it would be super appealing to people who find the character to be adorable and also be a nice power fantasy for kids reading Jump. I can't think of many others that fit that archetype though now that I think about. I can only think of Muichiro from Demon Slayer. Naruto has some in flashbacks (Itachi and Kakashi) but they were adults during the actual story

If you’re rewatching Bleach, I heard of a new fan edited version called Concentrated Bleach where it cuts out all the filler scenes and characters so it can be as faithful to the original manga.

Nah for that last bit, it’s on the standard post-2020 jump formula. It took sakamoto days, Akane, and witch watch all similar amounts of time. They all got announced in the 165-170 range, even if it gets announced around like 175, it’s not that far off from those other 3.

Nue's Exorcist will probably have its anime announced on issue 48.

as huge and veteran fan of Katekyo Hitman reborn I haven't followed Jump festa in a VERY and I mean VERY long time so whats jump studio and can we expect any kinda news there? I REALLY hope so because I always feel like the production committee trolls and VERY mean way

If they’d really wanted to announce an anime, they would have done it months ago at AnimeJapan.

But They didn't even have a stage in anime japan and for argument sake lets say it was announced for anime japan what do they do for October aka the anniversary month? "they can releases more information" Okay? and what do they do for jump festa? see the issue here I don't know if we will get an new anime or not ( I really hope we do ) but the marketing they are currently doing makes sense to lead up to and October announcement if that ends up happening.

Jump Studio is the 2nd biggest stage on Jump Festa or also the called "Blue Stage", having a Jump Studio while not having a anime adaptation in works pretty much means you're getting one announced, they don't give stages on Jump Festa to advertise merch lol Phantom Busters from SQ will have one and alredy got its anime announced this week, Nue's Exorcist got its website domain leaked so is getting a announcement soon, Girl Meets Rock from Plus is there so it's very likely getting announced soon too.

For Reborn SugoiLITE already leaked a few months ago the new anime and Reborn will have its first Vongola Festa in almost a decade in October, almost sure the anime will be officially announced there, if not so is locked to JF.

The LN tropes attract a very dedicated subset of otakus. It probably helps that the average poster in this forum is a bit on the older side, so they're even more receptive to a story with such themes.

My advice is get a cheap tablet while you're sorting the laptop trouble out, like an older iPad from a second hand store. They're fantastic for reading manga and will cost you a lot less than getting a new laptop if you can't fix your current one (or can't afford one right away).

I have a decent laptop but I've always read Shounen Jump and Manga+ on the app since I find it a better experience.

Reviews from a week ago:

1) WW: That's a great twist, with a great set-up. I very much wonder what's going to happen next, because this witch wasn't a bad guy and she might have her own opinion on what's happening. I also wonder if this was planned from the start or if the author retconned it together later.

Interesting comment from M+:

Extra note translation-wise: The last arc was “Bone Crisis”, with “Bone” written as “ボーン” (English word for Bone) in Japanese instead of the regular “骨” (the Japanese word, Hone). So this new arc is written as “リボーン” - literally, Re-Bone

2) Kiyoshi: More mysteries! So we have one ghost of unknown identity (this one should be really easy to solve, I'm assuming the academy doesn't have dozens of cases where one student went missing and one died in the same night), one missing student who's probably still in the school, one mole, one missing teacher, and another teacher who is sending students into deadly forests. The obvious anwser would be that the teacher is the missing student in disguise, but I really hope that's not it because it would be way too easy (and why would he suddenly reveal himself like that?). My bet is on the missing's guy power having something to do with disguises or mind control. Anyway, loving this.

3) Mr. Under Whatever: I knew the other guy was only in it for the money, but I'm still disappointed. Great swerve of expectations (even though I was hoping for it to work). Loved the last part.

4) Roku: Is it me or are these titles getting longer and longer? And why is it suddenly Yohan instead of Johan? Yep, they're pissed. And he's talking them down, as expected. And then he has to explain the first chapter... Their reactions are gold. It's great we put an end to the misunderstandings straight away, but I feel like that one guy is overstepping a bit speaking in name of the ministry when he has no full control over it.

(I'm also still annoyed Roku's eyes turned to default black after a couple of chapters. I liked his previous look better. And then the same happened to Sachiko at the end of chapter 11... are light eyes hard to draw?)

5) Shinobi: Yeah, skipping that second fight was probably a good choice . The teacher is a typical old guy, set in his ways, but he's still willing to listen. I wonder what their 'secret plan' will amount to (not expecting much, to be honest).

Ura: Are we playing 'Spot the five differences' between this and the third chapter of Shinobi Undercover? Because the broad strokes are very much the same, safe for Yodaka having colleagues on-scene (I guess this kidnapper got lucky). That doesn't make it a bad chapter, but it does give me a strong sense of déjà vu.

OP: Your heartbeat is coming back? You.. you didn't have one? And did Loki just grow wings? Love Zoro just standing there stroking his chin while the other guy was trying to intimidate him. I get why they would think the giants are more dangerous than some tiny pirate crew, but they should've done their research better.

Graykeith: I thought this was gonna be a story about scholars and adventure. I was not ready for a grim reaper in love and a guy repeatedly killing himself over his job (also trying to suppress my critical thinking here because there are so many holes in that logic). The little chandelier earring is neat, and fitting. The shoplifters in the colour page are either very brave or very stupid. I kinda want to know where the blood for the candles came from.

Destroyerz: The twist isn't that shocking considering what we knew already, but that was a good chapter. I like how they are making an effort to treat the queen with respect even though they know she's not all that strong, without lowering themselves. (Also, that's a beautifully drawn close-up of the dog.)

Ichi: I get that Gun Lady doesn't want to make the same mistakes again, but she's acting mighty arrogant for someone who just royally screwed up. Treating Kumugi like a poor, defenseless damsel, dismissing the rest of her team (she even seems to see Ichi as competition?) and suggesting it's weird to care about other people... Apparently she only ever worked together with family and doesn't understand what being friends/teammates means, which makes me wonder how reliable she was even before the betrayal. And the fact that she is forcefully recruiting people into her clan without asking their opinion isn't helping. Honestly, she's giving me more 'self-absorbed, possessive guy' vibes than Boxster at this point, which is not something I was ever expecting to say.

Cannon Master: "Your personality was manifactured! Our makers decided that "over-excited devoted pup" and "bratty kid who won't listen to orders" were the ideal traits for a living weapon!"

Was that another Dragon Ball reference? The fight was pretty well done (aside from some confusing bits in the beginning), but why are we wrapping up the final battle in chapter 12? Was the reception so bad they decided to quick-axe it? That would be really surprising, because we've seen faaar worse shit sink immediately and make it to 17-18 chapters regardless. (The fastest recent axe I can remember was Time Paradox Ghostwriter with 14 chapters, but that one was legendary for how badly it dropped the ball in chapter 2, so it's not really comparable.)

Nue: Would falling rocks really be less dangerous..? Anyway, cool hero moment.

Akane: Telling a story without words is a great skill, but boy do things move slowly.

Sakamoto: I can barely tell who's alive anymore.

Animal: Wait, so this is what the series was named after? Lol, his avatar looks so depressing. I wonder what they do if there are several people with the same anima? Either way, this chapter wasn't very exciting, but having a clear goal might make things a bit more interesting.

Hertz: They have a generator for broadcasts, but no emergency lights? The old guys have the same dynamic as the kids.

Roboco: Combining horror and comedy is hard.

Formula: They're noticing this now? And since when is finding sponsors the job of the team manager? They're writing a professional sport company like it's a school tennis club.

I did vote for it. I think it's a fun idea, even if they don't use it to decide which series will get axed.

Many times even goated anime adaptation for a goated manga does not give any major boost.

People has this weird obsession about wanting their fav reach a certain sales powerscaling milestone i feel. It is like their sense of community and self worth are tied to it. Such tribalism are just so... cringe

I personally just care about seeing good quality adaptation of the works i love. Not exactly having expectations or demanding it "to boost sales to x amount to beat y series so that I can wank to it and showoff to the fans of abcde series that i dislike". I see a lot of such mindset nowadays everywhere.

It makes sense to an extent. Higher sales = more popular = less chance of it ending early + more fellow fans to talk to + more merch and side projects = more stuff to enjoy. Plus you just want your favourite author to do well.

Some people overdo it, of course.
