Nice to see some ships becoming canon.

Should’ve just been focused on Mira and Laxus going on a quest if it really was just about making them canon because adding main team in made it seem bigger than it was.

Mashima had to retcon Miraxus when he hasn’t given them any development after this timeline. Have they even talked in Alvarez or the entirety of 100yq?

Isn’t Cobra suppose to be locked up? Isnt Jellal suppose to be hiding his face? Why do I even bother asking?

This story didn’t feel needed when it didn’t feel much of a Laxus focused.

My MiraXus heart .

Great development for romance. This spin off feels more romance focused that the action aspect is not fulfilling. Ivan will always be such a high potential villain to me but so far his plots have not been planned out well. If the shounen aspect was to be upheld, it could have taken up more of the central chapters.

That was soo much fun. We saw Laxus resolve stuff with his past with the guild, saw him and Mira canonized, saw his Dad's reason for never coming back apparently (oh ok), and yeah. Tied it directly into current events too

Agree with Star Frost as well. The timeline is now kinda rough if they inserted this in between any of the arcs of the original story. The only plausible period I can insert this is, is some time before the final chapter/event whereby Lucy was receiving her award for her novel. Because I remember she was thinking to herself about rumors of Laxus's love interest. Since this kiss between Laxus and Mira was in private, nobody would actually know the secret, while also at that point of time, all the discrepancies Star Frost highlighted would have already been realised.

Big 2026 and we get a Miraxus kiss, and a good moment of growth for Laxus stemming from their relationship.

My girl Mira got that man on lock and key. He do everything for her like a good boy. Even wore the matching outfit for her. (I dont blame him, it's Mira.) You love to see it. The power that woman holds.

The moment at the end was great as well. Love seeing how happy Laxus was to participate and making Mira's whole day. I know they are going to have the most loving home between them.

I bet Laxus wanted Mira to be his woman all along but was too scared to ask, respected her too much or both. You could tell he always had a spot in his heart for her bcs he never once bad mouth her even when she lost her power after Lisanna's death.

Ah, I love these two and this moment just canonizes the relationship we seen built up from the covers and game. Mira leading and Laxus willing to do anything for her smile.

This also paves the way for Miraxus in 100 years quest as we got a hint of it last week.

Now the rumors of them dating Lucy mentioned were actually true it seems.

Laxus looks really weird on the cover—nothing like how he looks in the chapter itself.

What is that pretentious line from Lucy? That sounds more like something Evergreen would say.

Jellal getting on stage to dance with Erza—oh my! (Though, let's not forget he's still a wanted man at this point in the story... but oh well.)

OHHHH, Laxus is actually participating; he's wearing the costume and smiling away.

And then *the* moment—boom, LaxMira is canon. Yeah, right, "just for today"—sure, sure.

Mashima is really going to go through every pairing, and NaLu will definitely be the last one. And since there aren't any other couples left at this stage, there are no more excuses.

So apparently, they've been "together" since after the Grand Magic Games? Remember at the end of FT when Lucy talked about rumors and Mira gave a flat-out "NO"? Yeah, what a joke.

That double-page spread is a great parallel to the one in the main manga: Laxus was crying back then, but here he's smiling.

Natsu carrying Lucy—a bit of NaLu to wrap things up.

What can I say? It was okay, nothing special; it didn't really feel like an anniversary celebration, nor did it focus enough on Laxus.

The other Laxus spin-off worked better.

Also, placing it after the Games was a bad move—what with the inconsistencies regarding Mest, Jellal, and so on—when it really should have been set after the war. But oh well.

Well this manga overall was really boring and pointless imo.
We had more screentime from Team Natsu than from Laxus or Mira lmao
We got a new Eraser but instead to show us more of his abilities he was wasted, just like the one from EZ lol
We got Ivan back, for what reason? Absolute pointless, except maybe is he shows up in the next few chapters of the 100YQ to help Laxus.

Yeah, quite pointless. And it's just a few chapters, we weren't gonna get good fights anyway. Even so if they wanted a source of conflict, I'd rather it revolve around setting up for the festival, like old enemies disrupting their preparations or other guilds wanting to join and shifting their plans (something like Ichiya, but in a bigger level). I'm aware that takes away the shounen aspect for the manga, but it sets a consistent lighthearted tone throughout the spinoff.

Personally, Ivan has lost his spark after the GMG. He had strong presence in GMG, set up nicely with that Zeref affiliate (Obra), and having a similar goal to Zeref (finding 'Lumen Histoire'). He should have been the one to go back in time to look for Fairy Heart in the midst of the chaos. Compared to Future Rogue, whom at that time, was still in his first introduced arc. We barely knew much of him already being the quieter one, then suddenly shaken by the idea of Gray being a murderer, etc.
