WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP THREAD RULES​

#5. Don't post news about series from other magazine or publishers in the WSJ thread, post in the series own thread, but it's fine if you're mentioning other series or magazine to express a opinion or reflection about Shonen Jump.
#6. Any tweet, specially japanese, about news, update or some interesting thing about the magazine or series has to come with a text of what that tweet means and also be on topic, if not it's going to be either deleted or i will edit the post.
#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

Yeah I mean look at this now. The plan is for them to make 8 films, with part 1 alone being a trilogy. They're going to be pushing this hard. But also then, why push up later stuff to be in the first film, thats so shortsighted.

And it just keeps getting worse, at this point i feel like i'm being threatened LMAO!

Yeah, let's adapt a 700 chapters manga in 7-8 movies because that's going to work soooo well, i'm so sure that neither the story or the characters will be butchered

I mean, what do you expect? Planning for 8 films alone is risky enough.
That's a long time. Plus it only takes one of the films to underperform to throw the rest of the subsequent films existences into jeopardy.

Exactly. That is why you need a solid plan and foundation of knowing the characters going in and then being able to execute. Take the Harry Potter films. Those were an investment and from the investment Warner Bros (at the time) made so much in return thanks to the teamwork of the cast and crew and…ugh unfortunately JK Rowling. I know I shouldn’t praise her as highly because of how controversial she is but when the studio, director, and producer works closely with the original writer of the book, then there is magic. This isn’t an isolated incident. Other authors like Mario Puzo is another example going past the original Godfather book after its success with the movie working closely with Francis Ford Coppola on the last 2 movies which never (and can be corrected if I am wrong) had any books penned by him. Sure you can criticize some aspects of the third Godfather movie but you cannot deny the second that showed that level of chemistry the writer and director had. It’s always about finding that balance and making sure that it can be as authentic to the original when there is something to compare to.

you can also just stop treating like a story needs to be uniform in all mediums, if you can't yourself, I'm sure if its not an actual bad faith adaptation then people can properly enjoy or get into the naruto world through it

True, and at the very least, both have an easy cutoff at their respective timeskips. But one piece is just harder to adapt by virtue of its first half basically being the entire length of Naruto, lol.

Altra chapters don't have a lot of comedy to them but they're always very cute. Really happy to see more interactions between the curses in roku and introducing more dynamics in their relationships.
They finally acknowledged one of sachiko's traits instory . Thought they would always gloss over it considering the vibe of the manga so far but agravity is peeking through. Hoping this isn't brought up too much though and only altra got that privilege since she's the kid of the group.We don't need it to become a recurring gag like that dog is too big

Sakamoto when did you have the time to get BUSY

Noticed the same shiba panels popping up throughout kagurabachi's chapter today. Wishing they forced some rest on the man.

Akanebanashi had amazing art but I'm incapable of appreciating rakugo apparently because I didn't feel much of anything reading this chapter.
