I don’t get how some are quick to say this chapter somehow changes anything or Chaos Lancelot suddenly isn’t above the Demon king anymore like multiple characters have stated just because Zeldris got one good hit in.

Y’all acting like Zeldris won’t still be a victim in the next chapter or 2 once Nakaba is done letting him aura farm and remembers who his favorite character is
Nah let be real, this chapter makes the power scaling look as bad as Fairy Tail's.

I stopped caring much about power scaling or anything of the sort at the start of this arc. But Nakaba needs to make up his mind: is Lancelot really that strong or not?

Why you hype someone making him seem stronger than the Demon King for dozens of chapters only to have him look like this in front of the guy who was helpless against the Behemoth? It really makes me wonder if Nakaba cares about narrative consistency.

If Lancelot's power level is such an issue for you, you could simply choose not to glaze him to that extent.

Lancelot only has more magic than the Demon King because he literally possesses the Lake's Infinite magic.

That’s what Zeldris meant when he said Lancelot's magic surpasses the Demon King's—which we already knew anyway.

However, he isn't actually stronger than the Demon King overall, as he simply cannot unleash his full power without his Sacred Treasure.

Even his Shining Road as 'Chaos Lancelot' hasn't reached the Nemesis level that the Lady of the Lake claimed it would, purely because Lancelot needs his ST to achieve his true potential , not this Chaos spear or Chaos buff , he couldn't even defeat Zeldris with that shinning road.

Now you see, The author doesn't care about power scaling, Nakaba's worship of Lancelot was absurd, to the point of being excessive, now here we are.

The author has always been one to exaggerate the characters, but in practice they end up being inferior.

Chapter appears to be mostly what one would expect. The only plot point that appears to be an outlier is the barrier around lancelot which protects him from the realms miasma. As things stand all lancelot has to do is use 0.2% of his power and zeldris will be reduced the same level of bitch as tristan but if he manages to break the barrier then maybe lancelot gets poisoned enough to be stalled.

zeldris got 2 tiny cuts in lol not like he blew a hole inside lance .
Imagine getting a full chapter where Gojo fights Hanami 1-on-1 on matching footing, ending with Hanami landing a blow on Gojoradiating an aura of dominance and telling him not to underestimate curses, and that after the "Strongest" extra or the flashback of Gojo birth and how it shifting of the world's power balance.

This chapter is literally the equivalent of that.

Nakaba has spent recent chapters hammering home the point that Lancelot far surpasses the Demon King, and for what? To get this fight against the guy who was one-shotted by TO Escanor who is weaker than the Demon King who, in turn, is supposed to be far weaker than Lancelot?

Isn't it interesting that Zeldris mentioned Lancelot's aura, or 'Hazy Moon,' reminds him of the Lake?

This makes me wonder: maybe what we've been calling 'Hazy Moon' all this time isn't actually Hazy Moon, but just Lancelot flexing his Lake powers?

Or perhaps it's a combination of the Lake's power and Hazy Moon? As in, something Lancelot wouldn't even be able to pull off without the Lake?

Honestly, I don't know anymore. We need a proper reveal for Hazy Moon because I'm getting confused!

But either way, this definitely inspired a new theory about it.

That's the point, if someone like Zeldris made that things and he openly says that the Seven Deadly Sins are more skilled than him, imagine what the Seven Deadly Sins and even stronger characters than Zeldris could do against him.

I'm thinking Nakaba got old to nerf the ban against Lancelot because otherwise... lol

The theory that it is solely a matter of the Lake's magic falls apart under any logical analysis.
Lancelot has possessed the Lake's power since childhood, yet no one ever considered him vastly stronger than the Demon King as they do now, if the Lake were the deciding factor, it would have been mentioned long before now.

It seems Nakaba really does place Lancelot above the Demon King, but his execution of this concept is very poor.

Perhaps the way the Supreme Deity was defeated by Meliodas and Zeldris in Cursed by Light truly reflects Nakaba's view on the balance of power.
Nakaba even went so far as to claim recently that the Demon King can't break Ban.

I am not sure if Nakaba has changed his mind regarding the power gap between the DK/SD and the rest, or if we are simply dealing with power scaling as bad as that of Fairy Tail.

People jump to conclusions too fast.
Zeldris sensed Lancelot's power and said it's higher than the demon king. This doesn't take into account hax, skill, or the fact that Lancelot can only use one arm and doesn't want to do what he's doing.

The chapter exists to make Zeldris look cool and competent. I'm not being fooled. If your trade-off for your to-date strongest attack is a slightly busted lip on your opponent you got no right to boast.

I'm whelmed. People who did worse than Chaos Lance figured out your trick, Zeldris. Wait till he does. He'll humiliate you. Maybe even copy your move and use it against you.

All the power to the Zeldris fans. Enjoy what you see before the inevitable.

Second option surely.

Nobody thinks Zeldris has a chance, but this chapter showed Chaos Lancelot as someone beatable, not the almost cosmic figure they were portraying him as.

Nakaba never placed Lancelot above the Demon King.

The only people who saw Lancelot's manifestation of magic are the ones present at the fight between Lancelot and Nanashi, and they praised the sheer quantity of his magic.

There was no one else to compare him to the Demon King because they had never seen the Demon King themselves.

Only Zeldris, the son of the Demon King, felt his magic and compared it to his father's. That is all.

Lancelot is simply manifesting the Lake's magic, which we already know is enormous and above the Demon King's level, but what is the point?

He has all this raw magic but lacks an actual technique to utilize it without a proper Sacred Treasure.

Furthermore, his physical strength lags behind the Demon King's. As we can see, he is getting thrown around by the Ominous Nebula.

In contrast, Escanor in "The One" state—which is basically on par with the Demon King physically—managed to easily walk right through it like it was nothing.

Yes Nakabas power scaling is flawed and has never been perfect but in my personal opinion this chapter doesn’t change anything that I already thought about it because like I mentioned earlier It’s literally only been one chapter, and Zeldris only got one hit in. I don’t think one chapter of a fight that just started is enough to over exaggerate on if the power scaling makes no sense or not.

If Chaos Lancelot takes 5-10 chapters to beat Zeldris and is struggling the whole time then y'all would have good reason to complain. I think the issue is y’all are expecting Lancelot to one shot literally every character he comes across just because he’s been stated to be stronger than the Demon King. Well not even the Demon King was doing that to people and we haven’t seen everything Lancelot is capable of yet

Not only that but Lancelot himself is actively trying to hold himself back so we don’t know how much that plays a part into the current strength we’re seeing

"Chaos Lancelot is far stronger than Demon King'
Remove the "far" and is correct: Lancelot is stronger than Demon King, not far stronger, just that.

And ofc
Base Lancelot is weaker than Demon King, but anyone here should know that.

And @Covers said that there would be nothing more powerful than Lancelot of Chaos 🤣, including the users of full chaos itself like Arthur.

Chaos Lancelot must have been nerfed by the script; the author wouldn't know how to handle it.

It's good that it opens up more space for new villains to actually be on Chaos Lancelot's level.

That's why I said it's senseless glazing from King to put Lancelot above the Demon King.

King is the worst powerscaler and has a big mouth that almost cost Ban his life; we shouldn't take his words seriously.

The guy has never even seen Chaos Lancelot, so how did he scale him that high?

Of course he is beatable, he always was. What matters is the 'how'. Makes me wonder what some people actually expect. Then again, there are fictional battle websites that rank Lance as universal level. 🤷‍♂️

-Is the The people here seemed to assert that he was literally an almighty god and that there would be nothing more powerful in the franchise lol.

-These battle websites are a joke in my opinion.
