??? Don't you see his Magic all around him?
That's not a power-up, bro; that's just a magic vortex he's putting up to protect himself from the demon realm's miasma.

But I get where the confusion comes from. Fans often confuse the power-up with the magic vortex he pulls out every once in a while.

If you recall his fight with Carthur, he didn't pull out the magic vortex at all.

He simply did the Goku warm-up and started powering up—no magic vortex or anything—because the power-up method is completely different.

He used it against CArthur and Nanashi. Both simply weren't in the area of effect. Against Galahad, he unleashed all of it and the latter was in the AoE.

He even used it to protect himself from Chaos Galan's attack.

Lancelot resisting Cath doesn't change the fact that he is fighting with intent to kill. If it was that easy he wouldn't be destroying the realm in the first place. Lancelot also doesn't have transformations like Gawain and Tristan, he is already in that form as Chaos Lancelot(it's possible there is a second level but it obviously won't be revealed now).

He used Shining Road and is perplexed by Zeldris's attack. Zeldris too got see his abilities for the first time. Two fighters are facing each other for the first time and are revealing their abilities. Lancelot will simply have to respond in kind
Yes, you're right, and Lancelot need to give very well response, Because for a being above the gods to suffer at the hands of someone who doesn't even have half the power of one god, at the very least, bizarre.

He never used it against Carthur but he did use it against Nanashi then he started powering up which made Nanashi shiver if you recall.

Lancelot pulling out his aura in the form of a magic vortex isn't a power up .

And it can be invisible if it's in smaller quantities, as was the case with Galahad; he probably release and concentrates magical energy throughout his body, And in large quantities, it forms this aura that is probably both defensive and offensive.

Perhaps not being able to do both at the same time, it reminded me of the Blut Vene of the Quincies in Bleach.

You should reread Chapter 244.

Unleashing the magic creates this effect. The difference is the amount unleashed and the AoE.

It has nothing to do with the magic vortex he releases ,Gawain even said that he was merely releasing his own magic.

Powering up is something else ,it's just a standard dragon ball power up where they start charging themselves with aura ,not releasing their aura to vast distances.

IIRC the stance was just Lancelot switching from left handed to right handed.

The stance is just... a stance. He unleashes his full power at Galahad's demand.

Again, the difference is the AoE.

Mostly just skipping over this power scaling debate but I did catch the comment on whether Nakaba has made a statement about Chaos Arthur so far.

Well, a long time ago he actually did say something about Arthur if he had 1st awakened Chaos back when he went to get Excalibur:

NNT Fanbook Untold Stories - Interview - pg 168: [In episode 256, if Arthur's power had awakened, would he have been able to defeat Meliodas, Zeldris, Chandler, and Cusack?]

Nakaba: that's true. If he had awakened the power of Chaos, I think he could have won.

---

make of it what you guys will.
Where can I find that fanbook

What? He already has the aura out, the stance doesn't boost it.
This might help you understand what I'm saying :

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the magic vortex Lancelot unleashes isn't a power-up; it's simply a technique, much like Ominous Nebula.

When Lancelot actually powers up, his aura doesn't expand into a massive energy sphere that covers vast distances.

Instead, it’s a standard anime power-up where the aura remains closely contained around his body, like this:

Do you think unless the aura is close to his body it's not a power up?

I'm saying that huge ball of magic he summons isn't a power up , it's a technique , like Ominous Nebula or Gojo's Infinity...etc , it's kind of a barrier technique.

The power up method isn't depicted as such , it's just a standard anime power up.

I'm asking if you think he can't stay powered up unless he stops the energy ball?

No , he can power up with or without the magic ball.

For example :

1-He powered up against Carthur witthout the magic ball

2-He powered up against Nanashi after he pulled out the magic ball.

The Magic ball is just a technique , it's irrelevant to his power up but the magic ball seems to recieve a power up as well when Lancelot himself starts powering up.

Then, why do you think he is still holding back?

I don't think he is even capable of holding back due to Cath.
