Soooo... Either next chapter we'll learn that the seal won't last forever because Edgelord Lancelot is too strong (hence the limit), allowing 3kota to level up and it's bullshit because how Lancelot is so weak all of the sudden...

Oooor, next chapter Lancelot breaks free stomp on everyone, bullshit asspull to avoid any important death (unless time travelling bullshit) and Lancelot continues his journey to spread shit everywhere. And it's bullshit because 3kota need to improve multiple folds and I can't accept that this will happen in a matter of days.

That's why I put my money on bullshit option 1.
Zeldris just bought everyone time. Lancelot will probably come out in a year or so. in the meantime, everybody will train hard because, well... they are weak as hell.

There's no escape from the bullshit.
This is a mess.
sadly

This is a Zeldris upscale.
Yeah, I'm not sure about that.

I know I was among the people who were severely doubting, if not alright belittling people who claimed this was an inferior weapon. I mean, I still stand by that. It is not inferior to anything in the conventional way.

Because it is not a conventional weapon. It is something coated and transformed by Chaos. Since Cath does not merely inhabit Lancelot's body but they are literally fused into one being, anything that strains Lance - physically or mentally - puts a strain on that Chaos part of his too, at least while Lancelot maintains a little energy to fight back against the malicious cat.

And I think that's what we are seeing here. Lance suddenly seems more sluggish, his weapon breaks, he regenerates it, Zeldris beats him up, Lance is sweating bullets. He is obviously not receiving a lot of damage. But doing all this logistical juggling and fighting back against Cath while still not breaking his end of the bargain is obviously straining him. He is very obviously not putting out all he could be if the roadblocks were gone. And that's probably going to happen soon because the human side of Lancelot is close to tapping out. If Cath gets to run the show onehundred percent, then Lancelot will just be a sleeve that Cath is wearing. I expect that to happen.

So while this is in a sense a Zeldris upscale, it is also imo a Lance downscale. There's gonna be a round two coming, I suspect and it will go very differently.

thats what im sayin’ always bet on lancelot, its tragedic even cath can destroy any sins in 1v1s he can use light and dark for meliodas space-time manipulation for ban and the rest are easy, cath would destroy zeldris while a casual shining road can destroy cath, its bs lancelot will show levels

Next chapter's name can mean a lot of things.

It can mean the limit of how far Zeldris can go in this fight.
It can mean how long this prison lasts.
It can mean that they figure out a weakness, a limit to Lancelot's powers.
It can mean a limit to Lancelot's ability to fight back against Cath.
It can mean THAT I'M AT MY FUCKING LIIIIMIIIIT OHMYGOOOOOD AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH

A lot of things, yeah.

It's clear that Lancelot is resisting and letting Zeldris do this; he's constantly asking to be killed, but something will happen to weaken his resistance and allow Chaos to take over his mind more, so goodbye Zeldris.

Which arc? One chapter is enough.
If all you want are corny one-liners of advice and some head bashing, then yeah. But these characters (Perils) still all lack some depth more or less and this is one of the last chances they likely get to hand them that because no one is going to care if Nakaba postpones their development any further. There is actually something like "too late" in the build-up of a story arc and its characters and the Perils should've mattered ages ago yet they still merely feel like background noise.

If we don't get something profound out of this training then it's completely for nothing.

If Lancelot had remained sealed away, the demons would have gone to the abyss for nothing, but it would be cool to have a future arc in the abyss to save the demons.

The more I look at the sequence of this fight the more it feely like your typical, classic Dragonball back-and-forth where you get one side hyped up in one chapter only for the return ball to completely squash the opponent in the next. It is so apparent and on the nose that I cannot even tell anymore if Nakaba is doing that on purpose or just falling into the typical shounen trap because that shit sells.

Could all be a red herring but the entire lore as well as concrete, measureable feats for Lancelot that aren't just hype and vibes are so all over the place that Nakaba makes it feel strangely non-committed? I don't know how to put it into words better. For example, you have these ancient chaos beings who should know what they are talking about when it comes to the capabilities of Chaos, Cath hypes Lancelot as so strong that he couldn't take him even with Arthur's portion of it (take that statement as you will), the LotL says him handling her infinite magic makes him the strongest or whatever, bla bla. It's all lore and hype and then Lancelot steamrolls but once he faces someone of Sins-level or their general ballpark Lance somehow falters or struggles and seems inconsistent and the reasoning for that is never given as something clear and defined but rather left as guess-work for the audience to squabble about because, might just be that physical strength isn't his forte, right? It's all thanks to the magic amp, bla bla. Or now he is hyped up as this destroyer of worlds who first dominates Zeldris and makes him utter statement like being stronger than the old DK or almost being unable to react to Shining Road and this chapter Lance slowly falls apart and yet again we are left within our own headspaces figuring out the reasons with our own headcanons...

And I mean, don't get me wrong, that's probably how it should be. If an author explains away every little detail it gets super dull, braindead and boring as all hell. But in Lancelot's case I feel like it's a tad too much of the opposite, Nakaba never seems to want to commit to one canon explanation for anything regarding who and what he is and what he is truly capable of, how much is truly his own strength born from talent and effort and how much is strength granted to him or - justified or unfairly, depending on how you see it - taken from an external source he never should have been the master of (this refers to the Lake and mastery of chaotic powers should by all means and rights solely lie with Arthur, I'll die on that hill.)

It's SUCH A HEADACHE.

The two flaws in this chapter are really irritating.

Zeldoris suspected that Lance might not be himself anymore. That there are at least two foreign powers that might be controlling him. But suddenly, he starts to ask even more questions from the boy. It happens while Lancelot's true identity is repeatedly warning him or asking to be killed! Do you even have a brain dear Zeldoris?

The other thing is the panel in which Zeldoris supposedly evades the shining road. Bullishit! The technique is supposed to go after the target. That's ignoring a defining feature of shining road to make Zel look powerful!

It was always the problem with demon bros. There's no way something imposed by the plot can work on them, and there is no LIMIT to how much Nakaba w*nks them. Anyone remember Cursed by Light. Someday, some people told Nakaba if he wants to show us some more brotherly moment between them now that the manga has ended without it. What he came up with was a story in which they actually kill the SD with their swords lmao!!!!!!!!! The most unbelievable development, sacrificing such an important character to hype the bros!!!!

I know Merlin was there doing something to SD with her Aldan. But still, killing by sword slashes? Restricted by Zel's darkness? What a nasty joke was that? And now we see Zel evades shining road and his magic and sword attacks work on Lancelot so easily!

Don't be surprised if Zel kills Lancelot here, ending the catastrophe immediately lol! But for some strange reason, I like this chapters because an old character from NnT is in the spotlight. I either like NnT more than 4KotA or it's the nostalgia that's making my soul so happy. Zel is doing a better job onscreen compared to the SDS in this manga. So why not let it last a bit more? Go on dear new DK. Protect your people from the malice of a shitty sequel! Your people are watching you from the other side of the genital abyss, waiting to be BORN through it once you've defeated Canceloth!

Just like Lancelot is holding back his murderous intent, Zeldris too is holding back trying not to kill him and damage his relationship with the humans and his brother

I expected Zeldris to lose in this chapter but I was half-joking with that post. It is a fact that he broke it, just like he injured him and made him feel pain even in this chapter. But Lance has been using this spear, at a level beyond his own and has been spamming extremely powerful attacks ever since. There wasn't a single dent on it. No other weapon would have been able to withstand that. When Lance will be saved, he will be weaker than he is now.

It was a conventional weapon(Ysaie's) and he transformed it with the power of Chaos + it's his favorite type of weapon(spear). Lancelot is affected by Cath he still has his own ideas and is thinking for himself, hence the praise to Zeldris and his reactions etc. He is definitely worse in this chapter but I guess it's because of the fight.

Zeldris beat the shit out of that boy...... hopefully Lance is sealed for a significant period of time to explain how the others have time to level up.

I'm guessing this chapter is suppose to show not only that Lancelot can be fought on even ground, but how one would do so. The key takeaway seems to be speed... not just dodging, but also interrupting his attacks. Considering Percy has been shown quite speedy, and Gawain has teleportation, the field is likely more even then it would appear on paper. Tristan is an unknown, but last we saw, he seem to have similar speed to Percy when they were fighting Beltreipe.

Another thing that I feel is gonna be revealed is that it doesn't appear that Lancelot is employing his mind reading. I guess keeping Cath at bay is using all his mental power, so he's not foreseeing Zeldris' actions. Probably another future benefit for the other KotA.
