Full comments and votes before TOC leak of next issue? It’s more likely than you’d think…

Issue 46 Thoughts:

Shinobi Undercover - This was a solid use of an anniversary chapter to showcase a climactic moment in a battle. I still feel like I need a little better context to understand Kawasemi’s position since I initially thought he was on the same side as the fugitives that seemed to want Aoi’s blood (maybe a poor assumption from me thinking that all the fugitives had the same goal). But I think I’m piecing things together a little better now, and I’m curious what will happen to Kawasemi after this now that his mind has been influenced significantly by Yodaka.

Akane-banashi - Great way to show us the impact of Issho after the chapter of his performance was given as honestly as possible. Very surprised to see this sudden apparent scheming on Issho’s part, and I’m forced to question what exactly his plans will impact regarding the Arakawa school and the federation.

One Piece - So Sommers is either omega dead or getting saved by Imu through some nonsense. The funny owl box still keeps teasing..!! I hope we don’t have to wait too many more chapters to see what’s inside, but I’m at least pretty sure it’s not a poneglyph, or if it is it’s a normal one and there’s something else written on it. This chapter is making me wonder if we’ll have to wait until next arc to properly save Shuri or if we’ll find a way to get her this arc.

Sakamoto Days - In a way it feels like we’re circling back to the origin of where this story kicked off; fat guy using very mundane items to fight in creative ways. Granted, the scale is bigger here, and we’re seeing some supernatural feats with regard to how certain items are able to cut through others and such, but such is the unstable nature of physics in this series.

Me & Roboco - for it being the big 300, this wasn’t particularly ceremonious, but it wasn’t bad. Addressing the fact that gag characters (and characters in general) are usually wearing the same thing all the time is a good form of breeding comedy.

Ichi the Witch - I’m all for bringing Spica back just to make fun of her, but I was not also ready for the sheer Kumugi upscale we got here! I’m almost convinced she’s getting Hakari now, and that there’ll be an interesting social dynamic involved with them when that happens.

Roku's House of Oddities - This was pretty solid for a Johan solo chapter. Was NOT expecting the wall pin on the middle-aged dad. Good humor all around, and Johan kind of looks like he's being drawn in a few different ways now? His face seems less long in certain casual wear, I wonder if he's toying with the art style a bit, intentionally or not.

Someone Hertz - This was a fun encounter with one of the fellow radio friends, I appreciate how most of these chapters with there compatriots still manage to afford a focus to Mimei and Kurage's dynamic despite integrating with others well. The video call thing felt like a big step despite it being such a straightforward thing. Though looking at that point board at the end... are we gonna get yet another listener Koshien where Mimei doesn't get to participate? (this is thinking super far ahead but I could see a situation where he gets in and barely loses to Kurage, but she personally decides he's funnier despite what the points say and that's the romance sealer. That almost definitely won't be this koshien though imo.)

Witch Watch - Didn't know I needed that little moment between Hibana and Kuon until we saw it, heehee. Very curious to see how far we go with the designs of their powered up forms, or if it'll just be them but super strong. I was lightly humored by the allusions made by Miharu's dad to the fact that he had nothing to do with the group there that were on the island 20 years back.

Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi - I’m kinda starting to like a lot of these side characters, but something makes me worried we’re gonna zoom through a lot of them here now that the battle’s ongoing and then just not address them again. At the very least I feel like it’d be hard to slot them into our usual schedule, and I don’t know how quickly this arc plans to pivot from here to Rushihara, which then begs the question of if there’s anything to do after Rushihara… point is, it feels fast. But that’s kinda how it’s always been.

The Ura Files - It was an okay idea, but it’s clear the actual point of the chapter was to cram Ura into a bunch of outfits for fanservice sake.

Under Doctor - I’m curious what specifically this company wants Haiji for, since they don’t seem to particularly care about their experiment subordinates (unless the point is for Haiji to operate on them to keep them functional). Either way, not bad.

Graykeith: Translator Daemonica - The cute little fire sprites talking about burning buildings and people to death obliviously since they were just hungry is some One Piece levels of deceptively dark moments. I wonder if the author will ever dare to delve into the mechanics of any of the languages.

Nue's Exorcist - I’m surprised we got what felt like the big final slash at the end of this chapter and not next; though knowing how Nue does final standoffs, there’s probably gonna be more clashing. Anyways, Gakuro now having both his own light powers and Nue’s shadow powers is very cool, even if it was pretty sudden. Excited to see what big showing Kawae has for this anime cover chapter.

Animal Signal - Good continued use of the butt gag, for something that in a lot of situations would be primarily counted as fanservice this was actually quite funny.

Kagurabachi - Very entertaining chapter. The Shiba/Ibuki dap was hilarious, Ichiki being baffled by the circumstances was hilarious, and Samura pulling up and puffing when he “doesn’t smoke” was kinda hilarious too. Now that we have tabs on at least 4 of the sword bearers I’ll be curious to watch the circumstances leading to Uruha’s cultivation as well as when things pivot from Giyu to Akemura (or Giyu to Uruha depending on how things go down?). Also itching to know anything about the pink one but I’m sure she’ll get her time.

Class 2B: Hero Destroyers - Still comedic the degree to which Kumon can counter anything, but this was a pretty brutal chapter all things considered. I’m starting to feel like Sorachi’s really getting to flex what he wanted to show from the series now, though I still wonder how long he’ll be able to keep it up.

Cannon Master - Bharat soloing all of them was not on my bingo card, but I’m guessing there’s going to be a bigger threat in this town than just these 4 guys. I wonder what this arc would’ve looked like if the manga hadn’t gotten the axe notice.

Hal Formula - I’m surprised to see Hinokura back so soon; it makes sense logically, yes, but it’s still kind of jarring since we just overcame him; it makes me wonder what new foe Miharu will face here, and, if we’re teetering on the axe’s edge, how things are going to be resolved in the long term.

Issue 46 Ranking:
1. Ichi the Witch
2. Shinobi Undercover
3. Akane-banashi
4. Witch Watch
5. Nue’s Exorcist

6. Kagurabachi
7. One Piece
8. Class 2B
9. Hal Formula
10. Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi

What is all this talk about Boruto not being canon? people are talking but I guess I missed something lol
It's just people trying to ragebait Boruto fans. But I've always said that if Kishi wants to revive the Naruto franchise, he should make an alternative universe sequel to Naruto distinct from Boruto with Naruto and Sasuke as protagonists. Don't need to decanonize Boruto but a separate continuity that is just as valid because although Boruto has a strong, loyal fanbase, it won't have the same juice as more stories with Naruto and Sasuke at the forefront. Maybe they can make movie series like Battle of the Gods did for Dragon Ball over a decade ago

people are spreading misinformation on twitter (again) about BORUTO because of an interview kishimoto and ikemoto made in France in 2024. Kishimoto says that BORUTO is Ikemoto's manga (ofc since he's the one doing the nemu and stuff) but he still supervises every month (as said in the latest interview with BORUTO editor on MangaPlus channel 6 months ago: Interview) And now people are claiming that BORUTO is no longer canon or is going to be like a "Dragon Ball GT"

I'm laughing ngl, they really try to push agendas everyday for BORUTO 🤣 🤣

1. Ichi the Witch: This was a very good chapter. The arc is definitely for the development for Kumugi, that I liked just fine as a tireless secretary but now she proved that she can be more. Loved also the return of the sister, I was wondering when she would show up again (hehehe..."would"...).
2. Sakamoto Days: This final fight is finally what Sakamoto should be at this point. I like that he is facing an opponent that is also his former self, talking to him as someone who is at a disadvantage because he still has to experience all that his older self had. And i find funny that his ability to use everyday objects as weapons started as a joke, and became literally his super serious fighting style. Good stuff.
3. Witch Watch: With the final battle incoming, is time for the side cast to do their part, and close some loose plot threads in the process. The best part was the monologue of Moi watching all of this and listing all the reasons they all fight for. Shinohara is good at that kind of thing.
4. Akane-banashi: Sudden ending for the ship arc, I wasn't expecting it after last week but the author wants to move forward. As a result of this arc, everyone praises Zensho now and Issho is as misterious as before. But since when Ikken had a World domination masterplan going on?
5. Shinobi Undercover: Happy 100th chapter! A ninja with no Kekkai vs a ninja with a lame Kekkai that works because he is a genius: that's the perfect matchup for Yodaka and I am glad he is having fun. After many disappointing chapters, this one was pretty good, including the ending.
6. Kagurabachi: Rule of cool applies here in full spades. The backstory of the brothers is nothing groundbreaking, but the killer got an upgrade in awesomeness, if he ever needed it. And what is to say about the final part of the chapter?
7. Graykeith: translation daemonica: The thing I like the most is that translation is treated as an actual job, and not as some kind of mission for which every request should be accepted no question asked. The chapter was good but I have a small complaint: I would have liked if, at the reveal that another translator is at work, the protagonist would have thought that it is the work of someone he knows, opening for the introduction of a main villain with a serious link to him.
8. Hal Formula: After all that business stuff, it's time to race again. The idea of using the style of the new rival is not bad, as is reinforcing his proper status of "rival". Other drivers in the background, just at the right time.
9. Nue's Exorcist: A pure action chapter that will look great when animated. Great coreography, not a lot of substance but it is fine anyway, Bleach built an empire on this style.
10. One Piece: Some of these scenes would have made a great chapter if they had their own chapters and more focus, but once again Oda has to cram all of them in 19 pages and they lose power. Very nice flashback return at the end!
11. Me and Roboco: Happy 300th chapter! Unfortunately my idea of the dad showing up at every hundredth didn't stick...but we got a very good episode anyway. One of those whose premise makes my eyes roll but but it turns out to be surprisingly funny.
12. Class 2-B: Heavy Destroyerz: The arc wraps up at just the right time, as the concept of the heroes too blinded by the light was beaten into us so much that it started to become annoying. Now we can explore new ideas and I wouldn't mind a comedy chapter or two. Another observation is that rarely we get an arc so long at the beginning of a series, must be a privilege of the veterans.
13. Someone Hertz: Nice for the author to throw in an adult character with problems I can relate to. Between this and Hal Formula, I never felt so represented in Jump. "What would a reverse stone-baked sweet potato vendor be like?" "You give him potatoes, and pay him for his service".
14. Cannon Master: Not bad, but nothing happens. Having a chapter of pure action so early in the game feels lazy, telling a story should be top priority. And the line between confident Bharat and overpowered Bharat is too close to being crossed.
15. Under Doctor: Pretty good first half, that was the continuation of the already pretty good last chapter. From the introduction of the new enemy onwards, it became hard to read, mostly because such character is very boring. And Under Doctor can only go so far without the Under Doctor.
16. Animal Signal: I thought and hoped she was only a one off character, but there she is again. This time her gags were funnier than the other time, so I won't punish the chapter so much. But when the main duo actually do their job if they are always playing around?
17. Roku's House of Oddities: Not all the chapters are great but it's fine, maybe someone else liked it more than I did. For me, it was a bland sidestory with no particular inspiration, saved from the final punchline that was indeed hilarious.
18. Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi: Not a particularly inspired chapter, just transition for the main event although it's cool that the students and teachers are all willing to fight. The side cast of this is not as good as the side cast of Witch Watch though.
19. The Ura Files: Less of a chapter, more of an excuse to show Onigashima in various suits and poses. And that's it, that's the review.

Issue 46 votes:

Tier 1 (Great):

1: One Piece #1195 -
Once again, Sommers is hilarious. Anyway, I really really like the Brook and Shuri stuff. Brook tries to reason with her and get her to stop being Gunko and return to being Princess Shuri, but she’s done so much evil over the course of her life that she no longer feels like she’s Shuri anymore, she basically thinks she has no choice but to double down on the fact that she’s Gunko or she’ll have to face all of the horrible stuff she’s no doubt done over the decades. Also, it seems like when she entered into a Covenant with Imu, she was on the verge of death? Or maybe the memories of what she did to her father are so traumatic that she’d rather just become Gunko and have those memories erased, but either way, she was fully turned under duress. The next scene shows us Lili used to live here on Elbaf which is a surprise! I suppose it makes sense for her to hide away here after she betrayed Imu and the rest of the kings. I also suspect that the world was much more connected back then, so places like Wano and Amazon Lily (if they even existed yet) were not very valid. So Elbaf makes the most sense! And lastly, finally…FINALLY Oda is addressing Sanji’s sacrificial nature and habits!! YESSSSS!! His childhood made him value himself as lesser than everyone else and it’s been present throughout the whole series. He’s ALWAYS ready to self-sacrifice for others, hell in his first ever arc at Baratie he almost stayed with Zeff rather than set out to follow his own dream because he thought Zeff needed him more and didn’t place his own dream above that need, and in the world of OP, not following your dream is basically the same as dying. Can’t wait to see more of his training with Iva! There’s also something VERY poetic about Kuma, THE self-sacrificing guy, sending another self-sacrificing guy in Sanji to his best friend Iva (or at least, to his island) to train and learn from! Btw I’ve seen some people suggest Sanji might come out as queer due to all this, I don’t really agree with that at all because it’s not been built up as that lmao, like at ALL, but I can see how queer people could draw parallels with Sanji’s journey of self-doubt and overcoming it. Fantastic chapter.

2: Akanebanashi #225 – Man Issho’s performance was so insane that is basically made everyone into zombies of awe and then it made people go and eat soba unconsciously, phew. It’s interesting to hear that Zensho doesn’t view Rakugo as high brow art, just something to not be taken seriously; it’s just entertainment and nothing more! Ikken has his own plans going for becoming the “face of Rakugo”, quite a sneaky guy though there’s no malice in what he does, I think. Time to find out what Akane’s request of Issho will be!

3: Witch Watch #265 – Holy shit, Shikimi summoned…Cell Jrs? Ok not quite, but kinda similar, and he tapped in Roswitha’s power to do so. Hibana has also officially turned! As expected of course, but it’s still nice. Yo even the normal fucking police officers are fighting, one of them even got what looks like a headshot on one lmao. Kinda cool tbh, I like when even the “powerless and normal” are involved in a big fight, kinda like FMA’s final fight. Seeing the parents protect their kids with such ferocity and vigour is actually very heartwarming to me, I always like dynamics like this. Oh the spell is done…andddd we have to wait till next week to see what they look like, fack, fine, I’ll wait!

4: Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi #111 – Kiyoshi rising Memmy going around saving people looks sick tbh. Kiyoshi has now reached the point where his very name inspires confidence to everyone; that’s what the title of being a Cross Paladin brings! The top level demons look pretty cool, especially Magma Hino, he looks like Ghost Rider lol. Kiyoshi kicking through the window was full of aura, and Iefuda’s design is actually pretty nice, gives off the creepy vibes you’d expect from a body hopping murderer.

5: Greykeith #5 – Ah so we meet the police member who was calling Greykeith last chapter, nice! Amatsuka is his name! Haha he blackmailed Greykeith, I mean it’s a pretty good bit of blackmailing since that’s literally the whole reason Greykeith even is a Wizard in the first place lol. Oooh Devils can be called forth with the Summoning Circles, makes sense and I suppose we’ll see one (or more) later on in the series lol. That’s a big will-‘o-wisp! Aww their true form is so cute! Nooo, I feel bad for them, they just wanted to eat after being starved! Seems like we have our first proper villains of the series, nice.

Tier 2 (Good):

Sakamoto Days #278 –
Sakamoto got that dad buff. And he’s using the environment again! Consistently! Been a while since we last saw that. Torres basically says that that is his greatest strength, and I agree, hell it’s the greatest strength of this manga lol. Fun chapter, feels like very very very long overdue return to form!

Cannon Master #15 – The dude with the afro/perm and cigarette looks cool as fuck, I’m not gonna lie. Not much to say about this chapter, but I DID really enjoy it. The art for the action was smooth, and I could tell what was going on pretty easily, which is not a given with action in manga format lol. Bharat showing off a bit! And why not?! The fight choreography was great. If this is the end of this series, I will be paying attention to Machida’s career with great interest, I think he has tons of potential!

Shinobi Undercover #100 – Happy 100 chapters! Awww, Yodaka is finding out a true rival, and actually looks like Kawasemi is doing the same lol. I said last week that they were pretty similar, and look at that! They themselves feel it. Yodaka not having any big reason to protect Aoi other than his feelings for her is cute, so cute it even melts Kawasemi’s heart and he now kinda likes Yodaka. Granted, Yodaka doesn’t KNOW anything about Aoi because OP didn’t tell him, but even if he did know I doubt it’d change anything. Good chapter full of good combat art and a satisfying conclusion to this fight.

Under Doctor #35 – Shuli is superhuman! Well tbh I thought maybe the Bandettas were cyborgs, but nope they were actual humans inside super durable suits all along. And they’re drug addicts, who need to get their fix. Pretty fucked up. A new character, FF, appears. Anddddd they’re a creep! One of those “I love to watch people die” types, oh boy. They (?) kinda remind me of Balalaika from Black Lagoon in terms of appearance, actually lol. I kinda like this development, I’ve wanted more long standing villains for a time in this series now, don’t get me wrong I like the medical stuff as well but it was getting repetitive with all the “person in trouble > Haiji saves the day > Haiji is glazed” stuff and this kinda helps break that up a bit + provide stakes (both fighting wise AND medical wise) and long running goals for everyone. Good chapter.

Someone Hertz #52 – Karino REALLY wants them to no mention that they saw her to anyone lmao. Also Mimei joined in on Mizuo making a pun without batting an eyelid, he’s slowly becoming just like her lol. Mizuo running is gonna get her killed at some point, please stop lmao. Karino’s reason for participating in Mon-Mid is pretty relatable, I’m sure there’s loads of people out there that have felt like she did, losing confidence in yourself (I know I have), but finding a place to call “home”, a community, can always help with that. And damn she’s so cool….ah never mind, she lost all her aura lmao. Their calls have evolved from just phone calls to facetime calls, wow.

Ichi the Witch #101 – Ah so Kumugi does have some latent potential. And what a neat way to describe it, lore wise! The jar imagery is nice. Kumugi wants to have fun as well! Look at the smile on her face! And look at how big her Muscat gun got, my word. Shit’s a bazooka. I like her writing “bang” with her magic. I wonder what this means for her going forward, if she’ll keep this big power up permanently or if it’ll be sealed again and then released as necessary.

Roku #25 – Bro even the cats are falling for Johan lmao. Johan literally rizzed the tea shop owner into confessing his truest, deepest desires, shit’s insane. Bro, he did NOT need to do all this to regain his passion for making tea again, I’m dead. Well, at least he became buff as shit lmao, that’s one positive, if you could call it that. That Udon Hot Pot must be really good if even Johan wants it over his usual tea lol. Btw, I notice they have no gone back to translating Johan’s name as “Johan” instead of “Yohan” like they did for that one chapter…how odd lol.

Class 2-B #23 – Shihan is crazy, literally no reason to put all of your energy into that spear throw lol. And that ended up being his downfall because Kumon’s power is, of course, the ability to absorb energy and redirect it. Kumon could possibly end up absorbing all the Heroes’ powers at some point? Probably his end game in terms of power. I like the motif of trying to bring back “night to the world”, it’s the opposite of what it usually is, a nice little twist. Btw they didn’t check to see if Shihan was dead or not, and since we saw no body, I’m gonna assume he is.

Tier 3 (Ok):

The Ura Files #6 –
Look everywhere bro, embrace your youth. Aww, she knows so much about track team because she probably researched it after he told her (lied) that he used to be in it lol. The Battle for Onigashima…..we One Piece now! Jk, but yeah that makes complete sense tbh lol. She’s a physical freak so why wouldn’t you want her in your club? And of course she wants to know first which club Kibitsu would join lol. Anyway, standard fan service dress up chapter a series like this will always have lol.

HAL Formula #16 – Hinokura is evolving. And so is Miharu, to the point he’s taking Hinokura’s style and adding it to his own, if only for the qualifying round. We see glimpses of other racers too, in classic silhouetted shounen style lmao. The tires have been saved, so that’s good, and now onto the race proper itself!

Animal Signal #17 – Oh a butt focussed chapter lol. The punching machine is an obvious reference to DBZ when they did it. Sumire’s power is on another level, a wombat combat perfect match. I mean Roga….there’s much much worse ways to go out, I’m just saying. Anyway, Sumire has somehow joined the A.C.T.

Kagurabachi #134 – Lmao at Misaka and Shiba just becoming bros after fighting, fair enough. Oooh so Natsuki’s scar comes from his dad giving it to him, just like was expected, Misaka had a legit reason to kill him lol. Misaka protecting Natsuki by giving him harsh treatment is nice. Samura is here! And the way his attack was drawn this chapter was pretty fucking cool. The Avengers are slowly assembling. I will say, the pacing of this arc has slowed to glacial levels, it's starting to grate on me a bit.

Me and Roboco #300 – Happy 300 chapters! Bondo getting some self-awareness and realising he wears the same thing every day lol. After all of that, he just…painted it on himself…better hope it doesn’t wear off lmao.

Just Gonna make an early prediction and say Kagurabachi isn't going to get cover next issue for it's anniversary imo.

my prediction for the next issue:
Cover and lead color page for issue 48 I guess would be between either Kagurabachi or Sakamoto Days, either one for their own anniversaries.

For color pages it would for for the fifth entry in gfc, Roku and between Ura or Someone Herzt.

The doomposting of Boruto being made non-canon is just the result of a significant chunk of its fanbase being people exclusively read massive hits, so their only reference for interquel spin-offs is DB Super making GT non-canon.

It has a LCP done already. No way it's not getting the cover.

Basically 90% of the misinformed, wrong and or dumb comments about manga are all due to this. The people making these comments only read Jujutsu Kaisen, Hero Academia, Bleach, Naruto, etc and think that level of sales is normal~average. This is why you get dumb takes constantly about how successful manga like Boruto, Gachiakuta, the current Jump line-up, etc are "flops". Pretty much brain rot and ignorance.

people on twitter tend to see only the top 3 in sales and thats it

"oh frieren sells 400k and Blue Lock 250k, if doesn't get this amount than its a failure" or something like that, but they forgot these manga are like1% of the whole market

twitter was always insufferable

Anyone saw the tweet that someone voted 777 times for Kathy in the Nue popularity poll? She got a total of 810 votes lol. I stand by what I said that the preliminary results look in line with the fanbase.

The doomposting of Boruto being made non-canon is just the result of a significant chunk of its fanbase being people exclusively read massive hits, so their only reference for interquel spin-offs is DB Super making GT non-canon.
Most of the people saying this aren’t doomposting. They hate Boruto. They’re trying to talk into existence. It’s more like hopeposting on their part

Yeah I kinda have an issue with series getting pop polls nowadays. Like I sorta get how easy it is to mess with Nue's poll, considering how small the fanbase is. (Although, even then, that was overkill). And so I kinda can't imagine the vote totals for a sub 20k-selling series, those seem like they'd barely be getting any votes at all.
But then I decided to check out Bachi's poll, and it was getting like 1/8 of the votes that JJK was getting (at chapter 60, when it was selling bachi numbers + pre anime). Not to mention you were supposedly able to vote twice in the bachi poll? I mean that explains how awful that popularity poll was. Usually its really hard to push a niche/meme pick into the top 10, JJK's first one need like 6k to break into that. Meanwhile, Bachi's cutoff was like 900, with a few characters barely breaking 1000 in the top 10. And considering that there were also tweets of people buying like 50 volumes for their faves, idk, its really easy to push your barely popular characters into a higher spot. Thats basically 100 votes, you could reasonably jump from like 10th to 7th, with how few votes there were in total.
And so these polls really don't make sense to me anymore if you could manipulate them by buying like 100 votes now. If the top 10 is so easily in reach, and its determined by so few votes, do they really even reflect the fanbase, or just the really dedicated crazies?

Nue and Kagurabachi polls were mail in ballots using postcards from volume purchases. JJK voting was done with slips from the mag. That's why there's this much disparity betweenthe first jjk and kagurabachi polls.
Most people can't be arsed to do more than online voting or what comes available with the magazine.

You're right a stan with a lot of disposable income can skew the numbers quite a bit like cameron's example :D. Even in a global OP voting event that allowed online and mail votes a cracker(though it was more to do with who was voicing him) stan got him to japan 7 and global 21.

Hello.
I cast 9304 postcard votes for Cracker in the One Piece popularity poll. He came in a respectable 21st place! The fact that Mr. Kirimoto voices him is one of the reasons I've come to love Cracker so much! I wanted to send this reply to express my gratitude! Thank you so much! 🙏✨

I think it's basically influenced a lot by changes in culture. These polls used to be fully voted by physical cards back in the day, but nowadays most are digital. As times goes by, people get more and more used to doing everything online and, especially among younger generations, the act of actually mailing something becomes more alien. Ballot polls like Nue and Kagurabachi already filter a lot of readers.

Casual readers probably think it's complicated or don't want to go out of their way to specifically cast a vote for a character popularity poll. So in that context it's easier for super fans to influence the polls more. Less voters = More influence to someone buying a bunch of votes. And they also can brag online about pushing their oshi. When Magazine had their favorite heroine poll, a single dude bought hundreds of magazines to vote for Amagami Sister's Asahi and she won because of him and got the magazine cover.

I don't mind it though, I think it's funny.

Hunter x Hunter Chapter 429 is Completed!

I'm going to be irritated if 430 is finished and we have to wait till 2027 for Togashi to return. Based on when 429 was sent to his assistants, we should see his 430 tweet within a week or so. (He posted about it like 4 days after 429). But considering the wait for last batch, I assume everything will be complete and we'll be waiting 3-4 months until the feb batch of series starts up.
