Discussion Anyone else looking forward to Sanji truly becoming fully part of Luffy's "Big 3"?

It's common for Emperors to have their own dedicated "muscle teams", so Oda presumably giving Sanji Conqueror's Haki, I think, is set-up to further reinforce Sanji as part of Luffy's Big 3. Seeing as how Conqueror's Haki will be very much needed to counter against all of Imu's forces in the final war, I look forward to when they're standing side by side by Luffy and the rest of the crew, in one of the most awesomely satisfying arcs in all of manga.

Luffy, zoro and sanji have always made up the monster trio. I don't think luffy's crew will have something like the calamities or the sweet commanders. As in, there's not a third member to a zoro-sanji trio that doesn't include luffy.

I mean, Rayleigh, Gaban, and Oden made up Roger’s Big 3, so it’s an obvious comparison.

Eh, I think that's a stretch. Oden was definitely a powerhouse but he was a late addition to the crew. The roger pirates navigated the seas for some 20 years or so. Through most of it it's monster trio was gold roger, silver rayleigh and scopper gaban. The trio is literally written in their names.

The monster trio can still exist while Luffy has his Big 3, so you and others don't have to worry about losing that little nickname. lol

I mostly don't think this fits the strawhats as of now. Suppose luffy has a top 3 like the yonko. Who is the third after zoro and sanji? With cladding activated both zoro and sanji are scaled to yonko and admirals, not executives. Only whitebeards or shanks' executives would hold a candle to them and even that begins to sounds like a stretch. Jinbe just doesn't scale compared to admirals or yonko as of now. I doubt he even has a chance against sweet commanders or calamities. Yamato would have to actually join the strawhats so that she makes sense as a third wing of sorts.

Well yeah, that's what I meant. If people can make comparisons with Zoro/Rayleigh and Sanji/Gaban, then Yamato/Oden makes perfect sense.
