based on the pattern, dgm should get a new OP and ED themes in april (episode 78).

anyway, another speculation is that UVERworld will sing the OP or ED for one piece, but we will find out on monday or earlier.

UVERworld also did an opening for Bleach.

...And JUNE and Rie Fu did endings.

I guess the animators are getting their musicians for the same place.

Now I REALLY wish Madhouse had produced the DGM anime.

Yeah, I suspected as much. Most of those artists don't sell that much today, though - UVERworld would be a pretty big name, actually. Their singles/albums tend to sell pretty decently, unlike most artists who have done themes for DGM, unfortunately. It'll be interesting to see if this ends up being true.

i heard that artists' singing the OP tends to do better than those singing the ED b/c some television viewers turn off the tv or change to a different channel before the ending airs after the show is over.

anyway, this camshot confirmed the speculation.

This is GREAT NEWS. UVERworld is really awesome, after all. ^_^

April 16 is a very plausible date for a single release, plus this would be a perfect time to announce it. 2chan doesn't seem to be very reliable when it comes to music rumours (from what I've heard, anyway), but who knows. At the very least, it'll be an amazing song.

As for sales, it does seem that opening songs get higher rankings than ending songs. I guess that's a good reason why. *shrugs* It could also be that the artists who sing the opening themes are more well-known than the ones who sing ending ones.

I've never seen an UVERworld single with all tracks in kanji, though. They only have one single with a fully Japanese title, too... Of course, if it's from a Chinese source (four characters and no hiragana anywhere?), then it doesn't matter...

i guess so. anyway, UVERworld (fansite) has posted information about the new song (I added the links to the songs whenever possible).

By the way, yesterday UVERworld started their first live of the PROGLUTION tour. The new song has already been played, though the title wasn't given.
So far all comments are positive. Just to pick up a few.

#1. It sounds like Roots and Kami Atsume combined.
#2. It gives me the Roots feel.
#3. Sounds like Colors of the Heart and Roots.
#4. It has the feel of Zero no Kotae as well.
#5. I can't catch the lyrics.
#6. It does sound very anime-ish.

So many 2chers have posted the supposed title of the 10th single and the tracklist; it's insane. Some of the titles are: TODOKE SOUL, Destiny ways, Copy Fantasy, Venus, Funky voice, and Doubt Darkness. None of these titles have been confirmed yet.

TODOKE SOUL is most prevalent of the group; someone even posted a picture of it, but the others noted that the poster forgot the letter "L" in the end.

Well, we will find out in next week's Shounen Jump. ^^
