man i know im gonna get flamed for asking but... what chapter exactly did the greed island arc ended? to be honest i only watched the anime so i dont know were to start.
while i enjoyed HxH i found it a bit slow paced but it hooked me at the later parts so i dont really want start from scratch. and now that the author began writing again i kinda want to get up to date.

anyway sorry for asking, i know this the place for me asking

Well Shoot still had some fight in him, I think the issue was the Potclean not working like he wanted to. I'd have to re-read the chapter where he explained how it works.

I don't know if it was just me, but Morau's fight doesn't seem interesting at all.

And I'm dying to see Gon's fight, goddamn!

I don't know if it was just me, but Morau's fight doesn't seem interesting at all.

Hahaha, he had two of the most awesome fights in the manga just recently, so he deserves a rest, I suppose.

Actually, I was looking forward to this one, since I like both Morau (a lot) and Shauapufu, but... it appears it's going to be too slow-paced to be any interesting, indeed...

That, and both Shoot and Gon appear to be so intense that they're going to overshadow Morau's fight...


Actually, since Morau is already on a pretty low level, and is facing his most fearful opponent yet, I think... that he might kick the bucket against Pufu. He's had his moments of glory already, and Shauapufu seems like the kind of opponent that'd suit Killua, anyway. But no matter who does it, Shauapufu isn't the kind of guy that can be defeaten by a normal warrior. You'd either need to trick him, or send Gon (who doesn't really think much about his actions anyway, which'd confuse Pufu, heh heh heh).


So, any guesses as to what happened to Palm? Has she just been hiding in the basement all this time? Has she been found out and been killed? That sounds improbable, since the Royal Guards don't appear to know about her... And the other ants would've immediately reported it to them. (Well, except Werefin - who doesn't know about her either - and perhaps... Brouda? We don't know much about him yet, apart from that his character design is great...)

Also, what's Zeno going to do? He surely wasn't hired just to get Netero into the castle, was he? He's not just going to leave, right? After that dynamic entry... What would be his next course of action?

One question you left Khal is what is that guardian healing the dead blind woman going to do now? If he doesn't revive her he'd have disobeyed the king, and if he decides to fight while healing her he would have a handicap, no?

And I think Zeno's role in this arc is over. He did his job and after that he leaves like a breeze. Just like a professional hired assassin should

Well, Nefelpitou's objectives, in order:
1 / Protecting Meruem.
2 / Obeying Meruem.
3 / Protecting himself, nya~.

So, logically, his course of action would be 'fighting Gon without disabling his Doctor Blythe' ability (or Doctor Pryce, depending on your translation).

Gon, on the other hand, just cares about kicking the living crap out of Pitou - pardon my french - but due to several personality traits of his:
1 / Wanting to save people's lives.
2 / Wanting to fight his enemies at full power, if possible.

There's a chance of him allowed Pitou to finish his business first... It's not very likely, though, seeing how fired up he is. Gon really can't wait any longer.

This means that, most likely, Gon will fight Pitou - who is unable to use Nen abilities since he has Blythe activated - in hand-to-hand combat for a while, until he gets the upper hand, and Nefelpitou is forced to disable it.


Now, if I were to give a reaaaaally far-into-the-future guess:

Gon and Nefelpitou fight for a while, Nefelpitou revoces Doctor Blythe after a while, sacrificing Komugi, Meruem manages to defeat (but not kill) Netero in a cold-blooded/badass way, Meruem returns to find his nemesis dead, snaps, kills Nefelpitou and attacks Gon:

Final battle: Gon vs Meruem.



But that's just... a far too unbased prediction, going too far into the future, so it'll probably be waaaaaaay off, heh. (Not to mention, it'd be a bit corny).

The thing that really puzzles me, though... What the hell is Killua doing there? Is he going to assist Gon in fighting Pitou? That sounds unlikely, Gon wants him one-on-one. I think he'll leave to run to Ikarugo's side, who's in bigger need of help. Gon won't mind, he's busy anyways, heh. And if Killua is going to leave the room where Gon and Pitou are and go downstairs... He's pretty sure to run into either Werefin or Zitoh, who're still roaming free, unaware of the battles going on...



Oh, and despite the odds, there's no way that Knuckle, Shoot and Meleoron aren't going to take down Montutyupi like that, they're just acting way too awesome to lose now, hah!

Indeed. Nefelpitou is much, much stronger than Gon. How will he win? That's what we're all wondering, indeed.

But Gon's got a powerful weapon up his sleave, he's the "main character in a shounen series", which means he gets an unfair advantage over Pitou: he can't die.

I just hope this will be a logical fight and wont go deus ex machina
HxH Is so much better than to rely on random victories.

That butterflies ability is great btw that battle will be a psychological one ^^

Pitou's healing ability will be Gon's advantage.

While he is using it to heal the girl a lot of nen is being used, Gon's fight probably will be a very balanced one.

It's a shounen manga. There's no such thing as balanced fights. Gon has to be in the 'underdog' role at some point, otherwise he can't have a traditional 'unexpected victory!'

Not at all. Remember Gon's fight with bomber? He only won cause he had that little trick, otherwise he would lose.

But yeah, I know how shounen mangas turn out.

Even though Gon looks innocent, that kid is very creative, he'S quite original when fighting stronger foes.

Remember how he took the tag from Hisoka?

How he fought the poison?

The only person he could not defeat was Knuckles, but give him time, he'll do it, he's extremely resilient.

Yes, but is not like he became powerful all of a sudden(like, you know, most of the shounen). He had that trick all along, we and he knew it.

I never said he needed to go super saiyan... I just said that he needed an improbably victory. Which... he did, a few times, in the past.

Either way, Gon'll definitely kick Pitou's ass in the end.

And I sure as hell hope that Kite (wasn't that his official name? whatever, Kaito sounds better anyway) will be revived by killing Pitou, 'cause I want to see more of his unusual Nen ability forms.
