Well, if he's waiting for Golden Week to arrive then well have at most 3 more chapters, and a minimum of 2 chapters, before a major arc could happen. Which would probably be the School Sports Festival Arc that I predicted in earlier discussion threads.

Hopefully, the next chapters would be linked to each other kinda like the 2-parts Summer Oasis Arc.

you can get out of any maze by taking constant right turns...kuzumi would probably figure that out :P

How can you be sure that you can get out of a maze if the maze is three dimensional?

U mean the What's the next chapter is about?
It says "次号、久澄の前に最強の魔法使いが登場する・・・！？"
Which means,
"In the next issue, THe strongest magic user will make his appearance before kuzumi!"
I feels like that the 3rd year MEC chief will be making his appearance...

You're right! I forgot! Forget about a mini-arc then...

Golden Week starts on the 29th, and I thought we had 2 weeks before that.
This year, Golden week starts in a Tuesday so it's possible that we don't get a chapter after the next one until May 9!

Magic Showdown definitely sounds about right. Even if it is an MEC officer besides the President, I think that it would be still be a very interesting plot twist.

I'm thinking of a place where the black plate will be tested, and the participants are not to use their own magic; don't forget black plate test are intended for people w/ excellent magic power, and kuzumi can't use these magic.
I'm imagining a obstacle course that kuzumi have to clear in a time limit, and the area is made so that normal plate does not produce magic; most likely inside a m0 zone. The participants are allowed to store 1 magic from various choices, and use the magic effectively.
Though I don't really think this would happen either, but...

translation is up, thanks for your patience!!! oh and caesarpk, thanks for picking up the tl slack in the spoilers for me....I dont have time to tl the spoilers during the week very often (btw, why aren't you tling an actual series, you're not bad at all)

Anyhow on to the actual chapter. another nice light hearted chapter. I really like the interations with Kuzumi and Mizuki...I like them as a couple way more than Aika and Kuzumi. Oh and the scene where Kuzumi overhears the "shougi" is hilarious. Never knew shougi could sound so much like sex >>

I'm guessing the strongest magic user ends up being the 3rd year MEC president. It's given that Kuzumi will face him during his first year, but a question of when.

I agree but still you can't be sure about that. It could be the 3rd year MEC president if he meets with the strongest magic user/student but it could be someone else with another position?

Yasuhiro Kano is down right crazy... as we`ve all seen, most of the predictions for next chapters so far were wrong... we don`t even know what does he mean by "the strongest magic user", it may have different meanings...

correct me if i`m wrong, but it seems that Kano is the most unpredictable mangaka so far...

Hey, what makes you guys sure that the "strongest magic user" IS A STUDENT anyway? Does the chapter even say anything about this person being a student? Simply put, there's none! The person can be either a teacher, a student, or an alumni. Heck, it even can be someone from another school for all we know.

Anyway... Who said that most of the predictions we've discussed so far went wrong? The predictions on the BM0 Test went as one of us predicted. Lucy helping Kuzumi in the end, Lucy coming back to the real world when she disappeared, and Kuzumi using M0 as a means of climbing the were all predictions that came true.

So besides those, I haven't seen any other predictions aside from mine yet, and mine was a prediction that will have to happen some time in the future.

Off-Topic: I don't think Kano is that unpredictable at all. Nothing so far has surprised me in the recent 7 chapters and as long as you've read Kano's previous work, Pretty Face, you'll see a bit of similarities in the plots of Mx0 with Pretty Face.

If there's someone who is unpredictable, its either Oku (Gantz) or Murata (Eyeshield21) IMO.

I could do it, but all mangas I've reading so far has a main translator (such as cnet in TRC and holic) and I don't want to offend them by taking their place... and this time, I could have posted my tl friday night but everyone kinda chose to wait (it sounded like taht to me) But I've actually lived in Japan for 3 years so, for most part my tl is quite reliable. should I tl even if there is a tlor already?

Well, I say the possibility of a teacher being the strongest magic user is lower than that of MEC president, since a teacher wouldn't have much to do w/ kuzumi...
A graduated student? Could be true, and if so, he has the black plate and we will be able to see how black plate is used and why they lean magic beside granting their wish

Yes, but a graduated student wouldn't also have much to do with Kuzumi :P

Btw, the strongest magic user isn't necessarily good in magic. Could be Koishikawa, he's a magic user and certainly strong ( look at his arms!). Nah, joking, I really think it'll be the MEC president :P

lol, well I do know some translators might get offended, but personally, I don't care. I actually enjoy a little competition now and then. I say, if you feel like translating, then go ahead and translate. I think the more translations there are the better things will be for the fans. It give the fans looks at the various interpretations for a manga.

I do have to say I think it's the 3rd year president of the MEC. We never quite got a good look at him and he seems like a super strong magic user. Those next chapter previews tend to exaggerate a bit so he may not be the strongest of all the characters, but he'll probably definitely be the strongest student in magic....plus I hope that rubiks cube girl is with him, cause I want to see more on how her magic works.

Pretty solid chapter, bringing back that good ol' Mx0 vibe we all love...

Strange, although very little really 'happened' in this chapter, I feel like it really led into the next chapter pretty well....hmm...
