FC Porto was suspended from the CL this year, due to the process 'Apito Final', where Porto lost 6 points in the league. That time, Porto didnt contest the decision, because we had over 20 points of advantage in comparison to the 2nd placed, and contesting the decision could imply a loss of points in the next season instead. It happens that UEFA doesnt allow a team that doesnt contest corruption related decisions in their competitions. The spot Porto will give in CL will be filled by the 4th placed, Benfica

That must really hurt. I would honestly contemplate killing something if that happened between Tottenham and Arsenal.:( Although look on the bright side, benfica might not even make it past the qualifying. Speaking of that didnt the scandal happen when jose was in charge? Shouldnt he be punished too?

Yeah it was about that time, but why would the coach be punished?
Well, I dont really care if Benfica goes to the CL. They usually do such ridiculous performances in Europe that sometimes I laugh.
I'll miss the CL though. I'll cheer for Inter this time...

AC Milan have also been awarded a CL place too because CSKA Sofia have financial problems.
When was the last time a club got kicked out of the Cl, in my five years of footballing exp i dont remember anything like this and now two clubs are out

A really convenient excuse they found to put Milan in the CL by force...

Actually it might not even happen. The site that reported just said it might not happen. I really wouldnt put it past uefa to do something like that, but since the site seems to not have any valid source, i guess they're just making a story out of nothing.

Now Milan wont be in the CL since the Bulgarian FA decided to give the UEFA license they took from CSKA to Levski Sofia.http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=723059

There is still a very very outside chance AC will get Porto's place but it'll go to Benfica most probably

Why should Milan go to CL for an incident that happened to another country's club? If that happens I find it ridiculous and unfair to every other European team who isn't in the CL.

The reason i belive was that CSKA had the license revoked without a license you cant play in the CL and no other team in Bulgaria had one. Since there were no bulgarian clubs able to play logic dictates that the place should go to the club who have the highest UEFA rank and are not already in the competition will be the replacement which was AC.

Now the Bulgarian FA are likely to give UEFA license they took from CSKA to Levski Sofia so they can participate

I watched Argentina vs U.S. yesterday, man does the U.S. really suck. Why cant U.S. even compete. I'm pretty sure that tit's because the U.S. plays on a smaller field than European teams do right?

Just read in the argentinian press that Inter is interested in Aguero. Is is true? If it is, Ibrahimovic + Kun Aguero = Best attack duo in the world (I'm not saying it because he used to play for the team I support :p)

i don't even know why people expect the U.S. to be good. U.S. play SOCCER and the other countries play FOOTBALL, two different things if you ask me.

And Euro 08 begins tommorrow. I want Portugal to win but i think Germany probably going to take it.

I still cant believe we lost 3-2 against US's soccer in world cup 2002...

As for the recent updates on the summer market:
.Dani Alves seems to close to Barça. The amazing and, imo, the best right side back right now is said to have an agreement with Barça. Sevilla would earn 25M€ and perhaps some players involved in a trade.
-Barça is also looking for a center forward. Probably an attempt to cover an eventual leaving of Eto'o. Trezeguet, Benzema, Ibrahimovic and Adebayor are some names brought by the press.
-Roque Santa Cruz is said to be in Manchester United's plans for about 19M€. I honestly doubt he's worth that much. He did an amazing season in Blackburn though

And Maldini is playing one more season! Milan's super captain isnt done yet :P

I heard rumours of adebayor to milan. 32 million pounds! (Around 40 euro's). As much as i like him, if they gave us that much, i would sell him faster than you can shout "goal". But its not true he came out (again) to say its not true, as did wenger.

From what i heard of alves, its seems all but confirmed. Maldini is a robot, or some type of superhuman, most keepers already retire at his age, and he is still playing at the highest level. Amazing.

Santa cruz's price tag is that much i suppose because he got so many goals with a team that is not the most talented. And the fact that he already "adjusted" to the league which always means a extra couple of million.

Santa Cruz is a good player and Chelsea must be wishing they had got him instead of Claudio Pizarro, my prediction is that he will suffer from SSS (second season syndrome) and he ten goals next season
