I really like HSF. It's way funnier than I expected and the dad, cat, and little sis are great. Easily my favorite from the batch and is already up there with Magu in terms of comedy and enjoyment. The art looks bad, but the artist actually has a pretty good sense of panelling, lighting, form...
Those Jump Giga one shots look good. I'd like to read them if they get translated, especially the Make Heroine one. I like the art. Though, the Sakura Katana one might be a bit too similar looking to Kimetsu. If Jump is looking for something similar, I think that one shot earlier this year from...
The series is fine. Magu just used his destruction beam on the website and destroyed the release date info to cause chaos while also weeding out the non-believers who wish for the manga's cancellation. Truly the work of our evil, eldritch overlord.
For the new series, I enjoy Magu the most. It's really funny and cute and I also like the art style. Really hoping this one stays and doesn't get cancelled.
I didn't like Ayakashi's first chapter, but the second and third are good. This week's was just okay. Would prefer if it was more slice of...
There better be a sports manga in the next batch. Some gags are funny, like Mashle and Magu, but a lot of them just aren't for me. For sports, I don't mind unless it's terribly written because I like learning about sports plus they can be quite entertaining even though I'm not a sports person...
Wasn't a fan of Ayakashi. It had good drawings, but even the ending couldn't save it for me. I'll still read it for a bit more before deciding if I will drop or not.
I really liked the Undead chapter. The panels showing the UMA's powers were incredible. The boss lady was really awesome as well...
No Kubo? I suppose it was a bit to early now that I think about it. The movie is coming in the Fall iirc, so it's probably better to start it in the later half of Summer than the early half.
I'm interested in the first two series in the new batch, but the second one could be boring depending on...
I'm hoping there will be a sports and a romcom at least in this new batch. BTW will most likely be in this batch because it was announced to be starting this summer. It's already June. If the batch is 4 or more, I guess they might throw in an action series or some unique work different from the...
We never learn is not a shojo or even shojo-esque. It has and always will be a shonen manga that appeals to males. Just because there are girls being moe/cute does not make it "shojo"(manga targeted towards girls). Idol anime, harem anime, and cute stuff like K-On and Umaru are targeted towards...
Thanks for reminding me of that. I had forgotten, but now that you mention it, I think he said it was just his guess to how it works. Even if what you're saying is true, I still think if the Jump issues stop coming, it would create good internal conflict and help his character grow and develop...
Best chapters this week for me would be Chainsaw, Ghost Writer, and Jujutsu in that order.
Chainsaw was a good transition to the next arc with good development for our trio as well as more mystery with the door. I think this next arc will be the big arc for Chainsaw, similar to Kamino in...
Based on lurking and observation on places like reddit and twitter, I think a key factor that makes Chainsaw more liked is that it is easier to read and follow and the readers don't have to spend 5+ minutes looking at a wiki or asking someone what something means. There's tons of times where...
My quick thoughts on the chapters
HeroAca: Even though I like this manga, the current arc just feels hollow and I'm not feeling the dread/fear/hype of the buildup. At best, it was just okay. Maybe it's just too many chars I don't care about or maybe too many things happening at once.
Chainsaw...
