blade5468, I like the point you are making, but at the same time, look at how many requests for artists there are and look how little people are requesting authors. I personally think this is due to the amount of time it takes for aritsts to do one page. It takes me about 8-10 hours to complete...

Dude, noone will help you unless you pay them or have hook-ups to magazines. If you are as good as you say, pay out like 50 dollars to have like 10 Semi-pro pages done. The people that do it for free will most likely give you sub-par work. I would do it for 50 bucks lol.

Alot has to do with the toning. If you add real physical tones, the page looks traditional. If you use a program like manga studio, the page may look more digital. Sometimes I will use imported tones which are physical tones scanned into the computer. This gives a nice traditional look.

Thanks for the comments! This was a random practice page, but I think it turned out better than my actual manga I have been working on hahaha. I wasn't planning on making more but I suppose I could continue it when I practice.

I laugh because the style is like a lighthearted style (I'm not laughing because the artwork is bad or anything). It isn't a dark or sadistic toned comic. I like it.

It would help if you put up some character designs so everyone could get to know the style you are looking for

Thanks Gintara! I appreciate your feedback. You're right, I think doing quick figure drawings will help alot. Laying out a page is always so challenging :s especially when I don't have a story lol
