I fully support this. We also know that Freed was one of the very few who knew of Laxus' illness. Thus he prewrote the spell, gave it to Laxus since apparently mages are able to 'lend' others their powers in some cases, and showed him how to activate it with one last rune.

How can we claim that he is in fact faster than Freed? And faster in writing? The writing must be extremely accurate on top of that PLUS jutsu shiki got stated to NOT be adapted for such a battle. So I don't believe this, honestly. And Wahl's assumption does not have to mean Laxus in fact...
