Ok, random insane thought. We have seen how big the adam tree is. I can't say how tall it is exactly but it could be over 10 kms tall. Or much smaller. Or much taller. In any case, we know there is an eve tree at the red line presumably directly above fishman island and close to mary geoise.

Now, a big plot point in the story is that there's a timer going on. Roger said he was too early when he found the OP. Oden knew that 20 years from his death stuff would happen and kaido would be challenged. It's a recurring theme that the dawn is coming. And in the elbaf arc we had a reveal that there have been multiple destructions of the world over the ages with the most recent one covering the world is oceans and significantly reducing the world's landmasses.

Now, we know the red line is 10 km tall, higher than the everest. And if the eve tree is similar to the adam tree then this thing could reach to space. considering how enel made it to the moon it's not necessarily likely that the atmosphere works the same as ours.

Now, if the situation is that the eve tree reaches into space basically... What if the timer going on in the world is a celestial event which will end up hitting the eve tree? Celestial events are observable and follow patterns. It wouldn't be too difficult for a civilization with extremely advanced science to predict the path of a celestial event and that it would hit the eve tree which would in turn leave fishman island in darkness. Such a thing would explain why joyboy left behind noah since the destruction of fishman island was anticipated.

Imu actually took control of Sabo when he stabbed him with his tail, Sabo is just not aware of it. Imu will ujnleash the brainwashing when he is confronted by the Revolutionaries and use Sabo against them.

Another not so crazy theory: Buggy will outfit the entire cross guild fleet with buggy balls and it will become the strongest fleet among the yonko.

Since I consider time travel shenanigans somewhat likely with JoyBoy = time-traveled Luffy...

Nidhogg, Nika, Ragnir/Ratatoskr might be time-travel anomalies, infinitely old (and that's why so strong) since they are exactly the same version going back in time at the end of current timeline in an infinite cycle.

Warrior God (Loki) fights with Sun God (Luffy), at some point dies -- Nidhogg DF reappears, Sun God (Luffy) dies as well -- Nika DF reappears. Ratatoskr guards Nidhogg fruit to be consumed by Loki again in a thousand years. Nika fruit fumbles its way back to Luffy in the same thousand years. And the cycle repeats.

And all this time it's the same Nika and Nidhogg "essence" via fruit reincarnation reliving the cycle again and again. And Ratatoskr doesn't even reincarnate since it doesn't die, it always was a magic hammer-squirell thing with no beginning and no end.

Imu will win against Loki but not manage to domi reversi him. Next will come Luffy who will put Imu to his absolute limit before gear 5 wears off. All the Strawhats will then defend Luffy while Usopp will run and give him good. When he comes back with food he sees Imu standing on top of Luffy with sword and all strawhats lying down. He challenges Imu to 1on1.

Ragnir notices Usopp worthy and becomes smaller and fly to Usopp. Usopp + Ragnir vs tired Imu who is close to be sent back to Marijoa because of his weakness to the sea. Usopp shouts about being captain of thousands of pirates and all the giants stand behind him ready to fight. Usopp charges up but becomes impaled by Imu and dies from the black fire (only his skull is visible). Imu then notices he has to go back. Give some speech to Luffy who is not yet ready to stand up and then teleports back. last panel is skeletal hand of Usopp holding to Ragnir with text "Bravest warrior of the sea, that Elbaph ever seen, real lineage of first king of the world, Davy D. Usopp"

the concepts of aging and dying as they are in the Third World is only a recent imposition on humanity. when "Imu" bestows undying bodies/agelessness on subordinates, it's not granting a power, it's unlocking something they already have (maki). there is a curse on all living things that suppresses maki that imu alone has the power to manipulate. very similar to (big annoyed sigh at having to mention this) Tooru and Wonder of U being synonymous with "calamity"

I don't think that's a good fit with Imu being the devil. The whole thing with maki and omen seems to be intrinsically predatory. Imu can corrupt those who seek power, make covenants with those who would trade freedom for their goals and seemingly preys on envy to fuel this. Imu sort of restoring a primordial state seems contrary to the corruption his witchcraft or whatever should cause. As a caveat, I think envy is probably just imu's interpretation here and more broadly speaking he preys on people's weakness and desires. I wouldn't be surprised if imu sees anything and everything belonging to him and any form of ambition as envy that drives people to take from him.

After going over the chapter 50 times I get the impression that maki is actually something imu harvests from those who bear his mark(s). And once harvested imu is able to wield it as a weapon for a variety of purposes. So when a knight of god dies imu loses a source of maki. If anything that bears a sigil of imu can fuel him then it's possible the world government itself is supposed to be a massive evil energy battery.

Going through some of the lore again, I think "D" are actually the people of the half moon referred to in the harley mural. People started bearing a half moon in their names ages ago. Eventually they forgot what this was and assumed it was a D. What I can't quite place is who are the people of the moon in this case. Or what being of the half or full moon means.

My best guess as for who the people of the moon are are either people from wano or imu and his followers. Imu if he takes a role as the moon around which other planets orbit then it'd make sense for the moon people to be his followers. On the other hand you have the main wano families. From the wiki:

• Kouzuki Family - One of the Families of Wano Country. Their names translate to "Light Moon".
• Shimotsuki Family - One of the Families of Wano Country. Their names translate to "Frost Moon".
• Amatsuki Family - One of the Families of Wano Country. Their names translate to "Heaven Moon".
• Fugetsu Family - One of the Families of Wano Country. Their names translate to "Wind Moon".
• Uzuki Family - One of the Families of Wano Country. Their names translate to "Rain Moon".

D is shaped as half of the cirlce. D is a symbol of half moon clan who was governing the planet before Imu. Half moon clan is natural enemy of the gods = moon clan = lunarians, who came from the moon after natural resources were exploited.

Mu (someone Imu is talking about in 3rd person) is real demon from the void dimension, who found out way to the earth after Lunarians stole mother flame, that possesed Imu via eating original devil fruit. Mu was rejected by the sea, so he can only exists away from the sea (red line). After that he created other devil fruits to spread his influence, but intervention of 4 gods made devil fruits posses wishes of masses and essences of them, to bring down Mu.

Random thought about the identity of the "man marked by flames": Barbel from the Rocks Pirates. (the fishman)

- Fishman allows him to create whirpools, and it was mentioned that he sank ships that went near him with whirpools.
- Cool and detailed design during the flashback, making him a likely candidate to be relevant, just like every other Rocks member we saw.
- Had a fiery/flaming hair that makes for an interesting duality: fishman with fire attributes, and I think those characteristics are probably shared with some bigshot from the past. The hair creates a connection to the "flames" part.

I can think of other interesting candidates, but Barbel was introduced recently so I'm guessing we'll eventually see him again.

I think Doffy is going to get offered back his status as a CD/get an offer to join the God Knights.

The WG needs more firepower now that their plan to recruit a giant army has backfired so badly that the giant army is going to be fighting against them.


Maybe we will even see a return of the Shichibukai (obviously some members would have to be replaced because I doubt Buggy Boa or Mihawk are coming back) because the WG obviously still needs them.

Sora might be based on Nika. The character Sora might have been used to "whitewash" (for lack of a better word in my arsenal) history by the WG. Emeth beimng that Robot and the Seagull the Owl. The other characters could be just made up additions or also could refer to the other Gods.

Pretty late for this theory tbh but I guess the Owl is going to help against Zaza and was an ally to Nika.

There will be a third flashback arc in Elbaf during the climax of Imu and Luffy's fight that covers Imu's relationship with Joyboy. It won't be a full-ass Void Century flashback, but shorter and more personal like Kuma's and will later tie into a broader Void Century flashback that probably won't happen until Laugh Tale. Like Kuma's tied into God Valley.

Ok, another random theory regarding the timer that is at play in the metaplot. We know there's a treasure tree adam and then sunlight tree eve. And recently we learned that imu's ability or fruit is simply the devil fruit. So my new crackpot theory is based on pertinent biblical elements at play here. It's not difficult to imagine the adam and eve tree having some connection to devil fruits. So what I am thinking is that the trees didn't create all devil fruits but rather they created a single devil fruit. Imu's fruit. And it's the periodic creation of a singular fruit by the adam and eve tree whichs sets the story's timer. And it's because of this that Imu and the tenryubito set up shop in proximity to the eve tree, they want to physically brock access to the 3 so that when it finally flourishes again imu is there to collect its bounty. And this would provide the gang with a motivation to destroy the eve tree, to prevent imu from claiming it's fruit.

the dreams and spirits of the dead will become devil fruits in the future. there is a non-zero percent chance that somebody might inherit a mythical roger (or preferably noland) fruit, but i think the most likely is a mythical hyogoro fruit

Most likely imu does not summon the actual weapons which are or were at the empty throne. And imu already summoned a weapon identical to yoru so while yoru is likely indeed one of the ancient kings weapons it's not likely that of the nefertari family. One would expect a nefertari family weapon to be more Egyptian.
