While putting this together, I also found a message from Hiro to Mira's voice actress, saying that the character has healed him many times. How could I forget this? I actually posted it here myself!

I believe this is the only plausible way for Mirajane to face a dragon and still maintain her relevance even if Dragon Slayers come to her aid in the fight.

I was thinking about this earlier! While I’d much rather see Mashima introduce a new Goetia-based demon for Mirajane (since she’s long overdue for a power-up and it would really flesh out the lore), if he decides to go with Larcade instead, the explanation is pretty simple: since Mira absorbed the Hell’s Core, which acted as a spiritual tether for Zeref’s demons, it’s totally plausible she absorbed his curse power the moment he died.

Your post is very well-founded and contains interesting information, congratulations.

I think that, regardless of the explanation, Hiro decided to pit Mira against a dragon for a reason. And it was about time the character received a power boost.

There are several possibilities:

- A new Goetia demon;

- A form that combines the power of all the demons of Faris;

- Larcarde's form.
