I wish we got some more of these new series translated, there's so much from Young Jump recently on Manga+ but with Jump SQ, a magazine more directly linked to WSJ, we only get 4 series total and 3 of those take frequent breaks. There's been months lately where it's literally just Seraph of the End.

I guess it's a matter of Viz having first dibs? And They have zero interest in simulpubbing anything new.

i wish they wouldnt take so long to come, its like they have to wait to be hits before they get picked up and anything already long running are just totally ignored

Is there a story as to why it's getting an anime? This was cancelled like 8 years ago.

Because producers want IPs, but cheap ones, but they want those that have some name value attached to it at the same time?

It's like Dandelion and the others. The axed ones.

Jump has name value. "Gaijin will buy Jump stuff. Let's sell to gaijin!" type of mindset?

There are directives to expand into international markets. And support from the governement. "Cool Japan is dead with a lot of debts, let's celebrate 360IP and spend more of Japanese citizens" taxes!"

I’m gonna crazy here but I would legit like Jump SQ to Give Hiroyuki Asada the chance to serialize the scrapped arc in the tegami bachi manga about lag finding the other children born on the day of flicker. The only reason that entire arc got axed and the series was forced to jump to the final arc quickly was because the editors at jump SQ wanted to wrap it up quickly and get rid of it. That’s why there were so many tegami bachi breaks back in 2014 to 2015, it was so asada could quickly jump to the final arc to please the magazine runners. I have some hope of it possibly happening because late last year asada met with the current chief editor of the magazine and they show interest in possibly getting it put back into the magazine. If that dose end up happening, then It would be cool to see the series end and finish like it was supposed to.

I will bet it was becuse the manga was successfull internationaly, it is a short nice looking series
