Per their latest fanbox post, Minya Hiraga (Neru's author) has quit his two assistant jobs to focus on their new unannounced project alongside their assistants, albeit it's "still some time away".

So next year at best, or later at worst, basically.

I wouldn't say every manga in wsm as ranger reject is on hiatus (not even the first hiatus it had), galaxias went magazine pocket due to health, gachiakuta has been taking far more breaks than before with shorter chapters, and I believe even the blue lock artist has mentioned getting sick a few times on twitter.
That's why I said yesterday that most Shonen Jump manga don't reach 300 chapters. During 2019 until now, most Jump manga finish between 200 and 300 chapters. The only exceptions were Black Clover, My Hero Academia, and Haikyuu!! I don't remember if Gintama ended in 2019 or before.
Currently, the ones I think could surpass 300 chapters are Akane Banashe or Ichi the Witch

A bit early to be doing predictions perhaps, but I’m guessing Someone Hertz will likely have the cover for issue 42, since the 1st anniversary is upon us. Though, this is also the time of year for Kagurabachi, Ichi, and Shinobi to get their covers, so it could be a tossup what order those come in, and one might unfortunately get relegated to normal color page in that case (likely Shinobi though I’m sure Hokazono would love the break from big cover. Though the cover could also be the reason behind the 15p chapters lately).

PLEASE MINYA HIRAGA LISTEN TO ME (even if it is 2027/8, Naual looked so cool)

  • Axed Authors: Minya Hiragi will return with Naual and it will be a hit

I was hoping for 4 to 6 cours for pacing and additions to the final arc but hey, Jojo got most of it's seasons with 3 cours and I love every one of those so waiting to see what they pull off.

Well if you take it at face value, it is also an action series, so the pacing could be faster too. Who knows, maybe it will get the Bleach TYBW arc treatment where it will get those massive fixes it needs, especially the final arc.

That Animal Signal chapter was so entertaining, they were on a roll with every page. I feel like they made this chapter after seeing how good of a reception the bunny girl chapter did. Very much reminded me of that one. Hopefully we see them both again soon.
Next issue, Hal Formula will definitely get a color page! I'm putting it out into the universe now! 🙏

Man, I want Cannon Master to be a success so bad but I don't think the mangaka has the writing chops yet. The structure and pacing feel off.

Better to hope than doing nothing. Even if something don't succeed the journey is worth it.

Also there is time to turn it around somehow. Do not know how but I think it has been done.

Xanjin, we are more likely not getting him this year with what tirakai said. Its likely next year.

A better bet right now would be another mangaka who participated in Jump Future project from either this year or last year.

I am the opposite, I do think that Cannon Master has the chops and the author is finding themselves. As for Hal Formula, I need to see the ToC to determine if it will survive a little longer.

1. Roku's House of Oddities: I feared a battle detour when the exorcist was intoduced some chapters ago, but this week the order has been restored in the city, and it was revealed that the exorcists too are only comic reliefs. I particularly liked the master getting all chill about this situation, while the poor assistant was as clueless as the Hero in Magu-chan coming to the city to slay the demons. Those were great times.
2. Akane-banashi: The story of Zensho is very tragic. There are still some unclear points, like how did he become a Futatsume with only that skill, but outside of nitpicking it is a story of a very lonely man who doesn't feel he belongs and becomes bitter and spiteful as a result. The last double spread is gold, exactly because of the curse he lives with.
3. Class 2-B Hero Destroyerz: I finally enjoyed a chapter! This time, the spirit of Sorachi was alive and strong, from the lore expansion, to the protagonist doubting herself, to setting up a strong emotional chapter only for the absurd punchline at the end. Emphasis on the lore expansion, I liked this twist of the Demon Lord not being feared at all.
4. Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi: So Detective Conan. All the "suspects" were fun in their all way, and how hilarious would have been if the boys just went away while she was starting her flashback? As for whodunnit, my money is still on the nice professor.
5. Someone Hertz: Very cute chapter, it was not yet another awkward date but an attempt to do something different, and be wholesome in a different way. How come they didn't win the festival when they won every event we saw? And didn't I always say that at that late time kids should go to sleep?
6. Drawn to the Fire: Sadly, I liked the chapter. The new characters were very interesting and they could have helped a series that was going to continue: "save the best ideas for last chapter" is a trend that has to stop. A negative is that the protagonist never spared a thought for his female counterpart for all the chapter, but that was never the selling point of the series. Overall, it had boring moments but I remember liking the first chapter a lot and when it was on fire, it was a series I was drawn to.
7. Ichi the Witch: Ichi does a standard protagonist move by deciding a strategy for himself and then putting it in action, letting the crew doing the sidequests. And they usually let him pass, but not this time. Nice subversion from Desscaras.
8. Hal Formula: This guy can't live a long life this way. I was fearing for his safety (and that of his rival who may get caught up in his idiocy) at almost every page. I'll concede that this series can be very adrenalinic, only not in a good way.
9. Nue's Exorcist: The Gakuro girls are back and leveled up offscreen! I didn't miss them, but they made a nice return and they were funny. Gakuro also showed maturity in letting them handle the situation instead of insisting to do it by himself to protect everyone and all that nonsense. But the best part for me was the villain facing his loneliness, that was cringe but hit my chordes somehow.
10. HunterXHunter: Pretty badass of him to test and adapt his power on the fly during a life or death situation, with all the calm of this World. The encounter that may happen next chapter (thanks Mangaplus comments for informing me) has some legit hype around it.
11. Witch Watch: The rescue trio did very good, each one pleyed their part well (the Earth Witch wasn't very useful, but she tried). This is not over though, he will retrieve the item in some way. I call retreat.
12. Sakamoto Days: The cinema guy was decent this time, maybe he stayed alive all this time just for this moment of moderate coolness. Nice initial part with Nagumo being more and more the protagonist of this last phase. Only Shin has been more protagonist than him throughout the series.
13. Kagurabachi: Not as strong as the previous chapters, but it is not a bad thing. Sometimes you just want to move the story forward.
14. Under Doctor: I should be excited for the new arc starting but, apart from the fact that it will last no more than 3 chapters as usual, I can't say that this setting is intriguing me. The protagonist already proved to be superior than all those neurosurgeons, what should I care about now?
15. The Ura Files: So what should I compare this with? RuriDragon? Shinobi Undercover? Tokyo Demon Bride Story? Hero Girl and Demon Lord? Or maybe I should just avoid comparing all those series with each other because I can't expect from a new Jump series to be completely different from anything before. As far as I can appreciate this genre (usually not much), this started pretty mediocre but concluded nicely, putting some meat in the male protagonist expected capability as a secret agent. I also liked that we didn't learn anything at all about the girl, a smack at what we usually expect from a first chapter. I will wait some more chapter before effectively deem the series a failure.
16. Shinobi Undercover: Suzume got a good moment and I liked that she admitted her power could have saved the group in many situations if she had used it, instead of letting the fans rant about a plothole. What I didn't like is the other heroes to the rescue, especially for Umineko who still didn't do anything and was diligently waiting for his turn.
17. Cannon Master: I don't know, the pacing is getting really fast and I don't think it is necessarily an axe driven decision. It may be a decision to rush to the actual story, but still the premise has been more or less abandoned, and I feel that these revelations, while being good, should have come much later with a few hints being planted between arcs. Oh, and of course I tried that elbow-chin thing.
18. Me and Roboco: One of those chapters that don't pass the bar, being one randomly thrown idea around a concept after another. I would have kept the dragon sword shirt, it was legitimately cool and had the soccer ball, so the athletic festival was represented.
19. Animal Signal: And that was a chapter about a butt. The only consolance is that the joke about her life flashing before her eyes was actually funny.

That's something i was going to comment weeks ago but ended up not doing, that picking a Weekly Shonen Magazine issue after checking Shonen Jump is just a whole experience, the difference in the art quality is no joke, feels like Shonen Jump is not a magazine made to be read in digital high quality because it gets so noticeable how at least half of the magazine authors are either dying or struggling to keep the art just consistent while on Weekly Shonen Magazine it's eye candy, every manga is fully finished, from the newbie to the veteran that is already in the 4th/5th weekly serialization, you don't see rushed art, rough drawing lines, no one seems to be struggling, and not only that, the overall drawing skill level of WSM artists are just higher than WSJ, how the hell is Oh! Great drawing weekly manga at 54yo with that level? It's insane!

And its honestly not only WSM, Weekly Shonen Sunday it's not much behind WSM, the level of art is inferior but it's a perfectly fully finished manga magazine where no one seems to be dying just to release a chapter, even Fujita & Rumiko at their 60's (Rumiko is 68!!!) are still drawing weekly manga with perfectly fine art, meanwhile newbies on Shonen Jump are already struggling with their 1st manga lol

But don't get me wrong, i'm not putting the blame in the authors, this is obviously Shonen Jump fault, i'm totally sure WSM schedule is waaay better than Jump, something that gives it away to me is how some new series on WSM has already the date of the first volume being promoted in like, the 3rd chapter, meanwhile on WSJ we only get to know the first volume of a manga after 10 chapters, this for me shows how more in advance WSM authors are with chapters release than WSJ authors which allow them way more time to properly finish the chapters, i think the competitive nature of Shonen Jump survey is unfortunately one of the reasons too, i think the editors wants to have the fastest way possible to react when they see something not working, like when some development is not being well received they want to be able to quickly do something about that, which they can only do when there's not much chapters already done or being planned, if you guys understand what i mean. Anyway, i really feel like WSJ should work to fix this, the problem it's not the weekly format, it's the magazine schedule and time given to the authors, WSM is the perfectly example of how authors can work perfectly fine in the weekly format without dying all the time or ruining their artstyle just to release stuff on time.

Well, you're right on that.

At this point i think is pretty much dead, we didn't even got like 3 last winners serializing yet.

Signal All Red.
An iconic example of Magazine authors having a better schedule and being years ahead of Jump authors is Hiro Mashima, who many times made Magazine release two or more chapters of his series in the same week. During the original publication of Fairy Tail, eh released a volume worth of chapters in three weeks, and the magazine was able to adapt itself to this huge amount of chapters in a short time. I don't think something like that would be possible in Jump.
I believe the issue starts at the drawing board, jump releases series expecting loses, they release batches thinking that at least at least half of the authors will be axed.
Sunday. Magazine, Champion seem to put more faith in their releases, when they decide to publish a manga it's a read to be released and has, in their heart, what it takes to pay for itself. You can notice that just by reading the first three volumes of the series released in those magazines and comparing it to the first three volumes of Jump series.

Jump sells more, so they have support from the market to keep doing what they do, but I believe that their current model is one that punishes authors for trying and it pushes authors to rush their series too much, I would even say that this is one of the reasons as to why so many jump series these days are so plot oriented.

I don't know what it is, since I don't read almost anything that is not Jump (or Jump+) so...I can only stick to the Jump similarities. What I wanted to express is that this new series is similar to too many other series, or maybe it is just me TVTroping too much. Sometimes it feels like reading the same manga over and over again.

Considering Viz is making Phantom Busters a simulpub all of a sudden, I'm guessing that and the Psyren news are coming from the upcoming issues of WSJ and Jump SQ.

If Nue gets an anime announcement alongside the poll results, it's probably still weeks off at least. Maybe months.
