Imu can use 20 king swords, but its not that mean that only thing he can use, we see him summons gun when he posses Gunko,,A shield is a fairly unusual weapon. Looking at the empty throne it seems like the weapons there were all swords, axes and spears. The numbers wouldn't add up for one of them to be a shield. Maybe it's like the gun or trident he summoned earlier? Or perhaps he can also summon weapons from the throne's lower levels.
We don't know that the other fruit xebec was looking for was nika's. My guess would be that it wasn't what xebec was looking for because nika and davy jones seem to have mutually exclusive agendas. Nika is a foe to the devil but at the same time there's no reason to think nika has an interest in having davy jones reclaim his throne. I am thinking that perhaps the way this comes full circle is that the fruit xebec was looking is at mary geoise. BB made a pretty significant effort in sending two executives to egghead to acquire saturn's appearance. And with imu leaving mary geoise and god knights being deployed odds are that the gorosei are pretty occupied. With all that is going on it's a perfect opportunity for devon to sneak into mary geoise, use saturn's appearance to catch random guards with their pants down and steal the devil fruit xebec wanted for himself. Which then BB consumes.Guesss xebecs was right and Nika and nidhog are need it.. those are the Dfs he was probably reffering to..
The key is combining both.. the lightning and a Nika attack into one like when Luffy attacked summers..

I wonder how Imu's regeneration would react to a rubberized kind of damage. With other forms of physical damage, he can just regenerate his flesh wound, but with those hits where he himself gets rubberized (or stretched) with each punch, perhaps healing from those might not be as simple as just regenerating?Guesss xebecs was right and Nika and nidhog are need it.. those are the Dfs he was probably reffering to..

Yeah I guess there's something weird going on in the underworld. People just seem to appear out of nowhere. Same thing happened with Hajrudin, now Usopp, and Usopp isn't particularly fast to not be noticed.so now suddnely Usopp was on Hajudrins shoulder? Hajudrin was neglected again. I am all for Luffy making Imus eyes white.
but
I need to see Sanji and Zoro fight and harness of conquerer again. Or are we to skip that given Gaban keep reminding us its hopeless.
urgh, things are still so very agonizing slow, but at least there was not a break next week.
He obviously wanted the Yami DF which is obviously gonna be Davy Jones DF. Blackbeard obviously learned everything from Eris about Davy clan lore and Rocks plans. That's why the Yami is centre piece of Blackbeard plan to conquer the world. Rocks didn’t even know about Nika existence so he wouldn't know about the DF. Sure he knows about Joyboy that doesn't mean he knows about his DF.Guesss xebecs was right and Nika and nidhog are need it.. those are the Dfs he was probably reffering to..

It's at least possible BB didn't get complete information. Even assuming Xebec got around to telling everything to Eris the fact remains that she died not long after god valley and BB joined WB when he already was an Orphan. There's of course wiggle room for BB to know everything xebec knew but depending on when Eris died there's room for BB to have simply been too young to remember. If BB knows everything you'd think he would have at least tried to approach elbaf over the past couple of years to find the nidhogg fruit like his father did. If he did he would have certainly found an imprisoned loki.He obviously wanted the Yami DF which is obviously gonna be Davy Jones DF. No it's obvious Blackbeard knows everything Oda literally spelled it out for you. He even had Rocks and Augur spell it out for you with the World comment. And you know take over his father old territory name his ship Saber of Xebec. Oh and he told Titanic Captains the truth about his heritage. It's at least possible BB didn't get complete information. Yeah - anime is giving another vibe - specially about God Knights power - they look WAY stronger thereLol, some people will absolutely hate this development.
On another note, saw the One Piece latest episode, and it seemed to give a different impression to the Manga in a sense, perhaps the wording is why.
Gunko says Imu is trying to destroy the world, and not to destroy the world per se, but to have the world completely sunk with Mariejoa and lands with higher altitude as the new world he is creating is what comes to mind.
It seems that Imu cannot survive in the lower world, as we saw when he came down, he was coughing blood merely by being on earth. Perhaps, Imu can only survive at higher altitudes, so rather than adapt to the lower world (perhaps, it's not possible), he intends to recreate the world to benefit him. He wants to sink the world, so that he's no longer restricted to Mariejoa.
I wonder if Imu is an entity that actually manipulated the original 20 families that if they aligned with him, he'll make them powerful and rulers of the world. Maybe the Celestial Dragons while being the villains, maybe they're actually victims of Imu.
He possibly tricked them, and they're actually not aware that he's doing all this simply to make the world liveable by his own standards. Makes me think that Imu possibly is from the Moon, it would make sense that someone from the Moon would find it difficult to adapt to living on earth.
Can't wait to see this chapter in full.
Idgaf fuck the CDs to hell even if they were victims.Lol, some people will absolutely hate this development.
