I'm secretly hoping that Gaban being confused as to where Usopp came from is a slight sign that Usopp has some sort of ability born from his fear that causes him to dodge observation haki.
If Zoro gets to sprout arms, Usopp should get to be like a ghost. Please, Oda. A sniper should be invisible.

I just think it could be so good, man. Van Auger is the guy that can be anywhere. Usopp is the guy that cant be found anywhere. Come on, Oda. Even Gaban didn't know where his cowardly butt crawled out from XD

I don't think Usopp is dodging CoO.
If anything, I'd be more inclined to believe that people can erase their presence or conceal their strength to stay undetected.

If Rayleigh for example, someone who is as strong as an Admiral/Emperor could hide in Mariejoa, he would have been sensed in Mariejoa easily if there was no way to hide presence.

Perhaps, because Usopp is a coward, he has got a talent for erasing and hiding his presence.
I would like this narrative because Usopp's goal is to be brave - To be brave means to overcome fear, so Usopp being a fearful person perhaps has naturally honed his ability (probably subconsciously too) to hide his presence. Luffy in contrast isn't brave, he just has no ability to be easily intimidated.

At this point Usopp will land a final hit (whatever he throws) the exact moment Imu running out of time. Tontata already worship him with a statue now its Elbafs turn. To the smallest race and the biggest race in the world, Usopps known as their god.

Oh wow, I just seen raws on Reddit and it seems like all three of them ACTUALLY damaged Imu because he was bleeding right after. Also I need more context but it seems like Luffy/Loki combo was just something Luffy came up with on the spot without any conscious input from Loki. Well, at least it seemed to work.

I like the chapter. It was what it should have been--a constant stream of high-end attacks. It does sell the idea that you need someone at Loki's level along with Luffy to be able to keep damaging Imu.

In my heart of hearts, I would have liked it if we could have seen Zoro and Sanji be the ones keeping the pressure up with Luffy, but I get it. That said, if Zoro+Sanji+heck, Usopp, ever get to have what Loki had here, I would be really happy.

I guess I really just want more of the supernova VS Kaido for group fights.

It's funny because Oda always puts a spin/reverse elements into narrative, but the visual similarities are quite clear in this one. Imu seems like a mix of Magellan and Hannyabal, or perhaps it's too early into the depiction to fully grasp who's who.

Imu has the devil boss aura, power that makes touching him come at a cost, and he sits in the throne for the vast majority of time (Magellan sat the throne because he spent the majority of time on the toilet with diarrhea from his poisons, lol Oda). Nidhogg actually looks visually similar to the poison dragon Magellan used, but his Hydra was more relevant, so hopefully the powers escalate even further. He also had that final poison demon that couldn't be touched at all. Hannyabal has the spear and more "aztec" look to him, so more like Imu prior to this latest transformation. Hannyabal wanted Magellan's job, so maybe he's a Garling/God Knight of sorts?

Another fun spin on this narrative, aside from fighting in the sky instead of underneath the ocean, is that Loki was shackled after Shanks stopped him, and Ace was shackled because Blackbeard stopped him, but I'd say Loki is more of a Jinbei, with the Giants/Fishman dicotomy in terms of important races, potential future strawhat and the collaboration in terms of fighting the big bad guy.

The narrative is too big for these to be direct comparisons, but it's always fun to find these similarities.

Oh, Blackbeard's also likely to benefit from this conflict.

I was like Usopps speech feels very random, who is he even talking to, especially since he was not there when Gaban talked down to Luffy, but now after reading what he said (if real) it literally is Oda telling people to shut up. Voices are loud about Luffy and Gear 5 so Oda seemingly took this opportunity. Well, until I read the chapter and there was more context about the reason for his speech.

Yeah, Imu pulled up the shield last minute, Luffy cracked it (we can see three white crack-like streaks on it) as he bulldozed his way before landing the final hit. There was a clearer/sharper version of it I saw on X.

What I'm wondering though are:

1. Does breaking the shield mean the swords also broke? If true, does that have any sort of blowback effect on Imu, since they (all 19 swords) were kinda revived by him if I remember correctly? Sommers said something along those lines but I'm not sure.

2. Could Luffy have rubberized the shield and transferred the full brunt of the attack on Imu through it? Breaking it first seems like it reduced the impact of the final attack. Final attack looked good though.

3. Is Luffy's armament now at a level were he can take a direct blade attack from the strongest being in the world without his hands getting slashed or cut off? I was thinking he used internal destruction or that no-contact kind of haki where they don't touch, but it seems he just used standard hardening. This is a good thing though if swords from highest tiers isn't a problem for him. Infact I'm excited by this

4. Is the hagoromo solid? I've always thought the awakening clouds were just white smoke or something, but it seems that is not the case. When Luffy was smashed into the ground, the white cloud also left an imprint just like his body, almost as if it were a tangible solid or something. If this is the case, can Luffy use it just like Imu does to block dangerous attacks? Or give it explosive properties just like he turned it to goggles and paint at Egghead?
