Zorro ans Sanji may be Luffy's wings, but Ussop is certainly his best wingman (well, sortav). I still wonder what is actually gonna happen, I dont think Imu will be defeated like this, especially since we haven't seen much from Zorro and Sanji's fights.

Imu is definitely not down. Even if loki and luffy's attack pierced through imu's haki and dealt damage that won't recover instantly they need to deal a lot more like this to take imu out. Let alone the possibility that if Imu is in actual danger he probably could summon his knights and gorosei to shield him.

Proud of Usopp, he is showing guts in such a dire situation. After standing up to God's Knight and Imu there shouldn't be anything he is ever truly scared about anymore.

Also dope that they finally seem to deal a serious hit on Imu. I'm sure he's fine but this might take away so much stamina that Imu is forced to retreat or we'll move to the other fights that are happening in parallel and Sommers & Killingham lose. That would definitely force Imu's hand since he'd be alone and weakened and likely needs to go back to Marigeose to recharge.

Ussop is still basically just talking big. And he probably does not want to be near imu anyways after what he told him earlier. The only thing that can come out of ussop being here is him getting the crap beaten out of him. Unless imu has some devil specific weakness which ussop can miraculously take advantage of. Like ussop throwing holy water at imu or something. Which I suppose would be hilarious.

Imu has been using small ranged bombs to pelt the gang during this battle. Ussop could potentially countersnipe those shots to create openings for the main attackers. His role is typically support and that method definitely fits into it.

We don't know that the other fruit xebec was looking for was nika's. My guess would be that it wasn't what xebec was looking for because nika and davy jones seem to have mutually exclusive agendas. Nika is a foe to the devil but at the same time there's no reason to think nika has an interest in having davy jones reclaim his throne. I am thinking that perhaps the way this comes full circle is that the fruit xebec was looking is at mary geoise. BB made a pretty significant effort in sending two executives to egghead to acquire saturn's appearance. And with imu leaving mary geoise and god knights being deployed odds are that the gorosei are pretty occupied. With all that is going on it's a perfect opportunity for devon to sneak into mary geoise, use saturn's appearance to catch random guards with their pants down and steal the devil fruit xebec wanted for himself. Which then BB consumes.

Xebec was probably looking for the Yami Yami no Mi. Which is why Blackbeard wanted it. My guess is Davey Jones had it. Blackbeard had knowledge on how to use it and it's value, Rock and Blackbeard have hidden knowledge about Davey Jones and I think those are linked.

Well, that sounds great and all but it's too early to be happy about something finally working on Imu. Knowing life next chapter he'll be mostly fine, just bit shocked and mayby infuriated. But let's enjoy our little wins for now. Btw well, I wonder if Usopp figured out some new attack if he feels bold enough to have his big talk. Because it couldn't be just because Hairudin is there. He fought and tanked amazingly last chapter but if he would to get hit with something more than few will o wispy bombs he would be dead. I'm curious what got into Loki that he actually helped Luffy get to Imu. Did he grew a bit of respect for him or something? Or mayby he genuinely started to believe that Luffy can help him save his country. Also hmm, spoilers say Luffy got through the shield. I'm curious if lightnings Loki sended alongside Luffy had anything to do with it.

When this gets animated, it's gonna be a nightmare for anime-watchers because of the terrible pacing.

That aint shit. You should have seen people like me back in the mid 90s with dbz. My uncle got ahold of a ton of episodes all Chinese dubbed...so I sat thru the whole Freiza saga waiting for Namek to blow. Then when the English version came out some years later on CN...I can't fucking believe I sat thru that shit all over again and even enjoyed a good amount of it.

Yeah people will likely complain when they finally get around to animating this part of the story but far fewer people will complain than you'd think. I also don't think they will drag it out as much since I read that they are doing less episodes a year now.

that’s the down side of chasing manga, this is like months of development with so many break, but by the time anime come and go, people just gonna power through this in an afternoon.

Well, then we had ACTUAL time limit completly in clear. Here we just know that Imu shouldn't be outside of Marie Geoise for too long and that's it. We don't even know what are we waiting for and for how long. Well, however long it will take it will still have better pacing than Namek saga. Probably, hopefully.

I'm secretly hoping that Gaban being confused as to where Usopp came from is a slight sign that Usopp has some sort of ability born from his fear that causes him to dodge observation haki.

We all know Yami Yami is not a (normal) Logia since it was introduced against Ace. It will be revealed as the Black Nika i.e. God of Destruction. We know since Egghead and Elbaf arcs that the first world collapse generated two opinions about Nika: God of Liberation (Luffy’s DF) and God of Destruction (BB’s DF) which eventually split the world between Joy Boy and 20 kingdoms sides. These opposite Nika views are what inspired people during Void Century to create 2 different DF versions of Nika with the Ancient Kingdom technology. The pie/beer scene in Jaya bar between Luffy and BB (love/hate) will eventually come as one of the biggest foreshadowings of One Piece - as for the 2 opposite Nika DFs (liberation/destruction).

He'll snipe at his enemy with random, cliché monologues nobody asked for.

I mean where does this "if the Giants want to take away Luffy's freedom to save Elbaf I'll be very very angry" come from ?
Why would they do that ? Luffy would destroy an island because a kid is starving.

I like long fight, its give tense n feat, but i Imu are have been to long in Elbaf, the real important thing are Sommer n Killingham, in standart fight, Sommer n Killingham must defeat 1st before Imu, but we still not see any proper their fight, dont tell me Oda just skip the fight n just only showing last atk.
