#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

Strip away his desire for vengeance and what’s left of Chihiro is someone who is deeply emotional and highly empathetic toward others. His compassion isn’t limited to people he knows or agrees with.

Straight out of ch 1, he was willing to talk out with the yakuzas and strike out a deal before changing his mind when he saw them publicly lynching people in the city.

He gives Char food and goes out of his way to make sure she gets to an orphanage. (Like shiba have said, Chihiro is good at taking care of people.)

With Sojo, he shows a willingness to engage with Sojo’s conflicting understanding of Kunishige rather than simply dismissing him as a monster.

You can see this even more clearly with Samura. Samura has a fundamentally different view of Kunishige. He doesn't necessarily blame Kunishige as a person for creating the enchanted blades, but he still believes that their creation and use ultimately led to something terrible. Chihiro doesn't simply dismiss Samura's perspective because it concerns his father. He actually has to grapple with that criticism and reconcile it with his own understanding of Kunishige.

Even his reaction upon finding out his father's killer is telling. After being overwhelmed by a flood of thoughts, his immediate response is to break down and ask why they killed him. It'a not anger his showing. It's grief and confusion to why they want his father killed.

Chihiro’s character is driven by revenge but he isn't consumed by it. His vengeance is part of his character, not the entirety of it. To say that Chihiro’s character has almost nothing beyond his desire for revenge is, frankly, an absolutely moronic interpretation of his character.

yeah I havent read KGB past chapter 3 and even I can tell just from the pages posted around that revenge isnt the only thing exists for Chihiro

Unpopular opinion: I don’t think being nice to a little kid makes a stoic character “deep”.

Tbh as someone who is quite invested in it now, I’m comfortable with saying Kagurabachi didn’t particularly start off super strong. I think both of these things can be true; Chihiro isn’t immediately deeply compelling and the story feels a bit tropey/edgy or generic at the start, and as the story went on Hokazono started cooking like crazy and we have a feast set before us now.

Isn’t that how a lot of series are? Shinobi Undercover kind of tasted like stale bread to me on chapter 1, but I actually quite look forward to seeing it’s characters every week. Kiyoshi also started off feeling pretty boring, and while it’s still not reinventing any wheels I’ve come to like it a lot more. Many people talk about how dull/unoriginal of a start Black Clover has in it’s first chapter, but by the time you’re through a few arcs Tabata really starts to find his footing and wrap you in with the personalities of his characters. I’ve mentioned before how Undead Unluck took me about 30 chapters to actually feel invested in some characters, and by the time the halfway point hit I was in love with all of them.

Even in the non-battle space, a lot of people weren’t very sold on Roku in the first chapter, but now the overall impression has turned around with it seeming in more favorable standing than the grizzled veteran it joined alongside. I fully expect given the trajectory with online popularity that The Ura Files, which I quite frankly am lukewarm on from a chapter 1 perspective, will get better as it survives, and within the first 20-30 chapters I’ll start actually really liking what I’m seeing unfold.

This is how Jump works a lot of the time, in my experience. It takes a very rough gem and then starts polishing it, and if it’s worth keeping after a little polish you get to see that gem transform from something not too impressive with potential to a shining diamond.

Tbh as someone who is quite invested in it now, I’m comfortable with saying Kagurabachi didn’t particularly start off super strong. I think both of these things can be true; Chihiro isn’t immediately deeply compelling and the story feels a bit tropey/edgy or generic at the start, and as the story went on Hokazono started cooking like crazy and we have a feast set before us now.

That’s a fair enough take. It’s just simply different strokes for different folks.

For me, if the first 5 chapters doesn’t immediately make me curious to see where this character/story will go, I’m dropping it.

Kagurabachi is one of the best-selling manga currently in the magazine, along with Sakamoto, Ichi, and One Piece.
Just because the manga has had a drop in sales doesn't mean Kagurabachi is in danger or that the manga is bad; even One Piece has experienced a drop in sales. And you can't just say that the Seitei War arc is being poorly received by the Japanese.
Many here don't like Kagurabachi, from the beginning. I even remember the Nue vs. Kagurabachi war where people here said Nue was better because it was more fun.

I disagree because that panel was partly the cause of KGB's propel to popularity (at the start)

In this era, the best course of action is to be iconic than forgettable.

And ironically, PERSONALLY, THAT panel was what solidifies Chihiro as the opposite of bland

Honestly, Jump needs more manga like Kagurabachi than just focusing on comedies.

The non battle battle mangas. Very hard to do; jump tends to only get a hit in that once or twice a decade (frankly they only serialize like 4 a decade too). Last one was act-age (pain ) and then SnS before it. Problem is you then sometimes get series like I tell c or hakutaku

It seems like people are prejudiced against revenge stories, and Kagurabachi had to be like Vinland Saga, in fact, everything has to be like Vinland Saga.
Nothing against Vinland Saga, but I don't see a problem with a story where the revenge is completed, and not ignored or interrupted because of some plot twist.
