I mean it was pretty unbelievable that the author removed Glenn from the story so early on...although I never actually thought Wishtech would be responsible for his return...

I keep wondering just how high is the Wishtech influence in the ruling class of the country...they keep popping up everywhere, yet I can't really spot something of great magnitude that could happen...I dunno...it keeps me on my toes, which is great and a rare treat to be honest

As much as I enjoy Ubel Blatt. I have to admit I've been a little disgusted by the sheer volume of the sexual stuff we've been seeing lately.

Seriously, it's NOT necessary. Sword-masters, magic, wars, and airships are so awesome why does it need to sully it with like 4 pages of villainous orgies per chapter. I know that it's trying to be not-so-subtly stated how bad these various fake "heroes" are but it's starting to go over the top now. We get it, they're a horny bunch of douchbags. Point made (I wish it could have been made more tastefully.... but whatever).

If that sort of thing absolutely has to be done I wish they would go back to obligatory fanservce shots of Elseria. At least those were funny.

I believe the person your thinking of is Glen.

He came back from the dead in bishi form evidently. Not sure if he's a zombie, clone, life model decoy, magic fairy construct, or whatever but he's back and decided to celebrate in Caligula fashion.

Next time Koinzell needs to try feeding him through a wood chipper and then sets fire to the remains.

I don't blame you for being confused it got a little crazy recently. Even, huge Ubel Blatt fan that I am, there are a few things I don't understand. Namely why, one minute Koinzell is taming a huge dragon monster then next he's doing something completely different (did that storyline end when I wasn't looking?).

It's seriously high time for some female characters that don't turn into sex toys the second one of the traitorous heroes waggles an evil eyebrow at them. I'm really hoping there are some among the lances with some self esteem.

Its been a while since this place got a bump but current chapter of Ubel Blatt scans are upto 114.

This has been a really nasty and weird arc so far.

Glenn rises from the dead as Griffith 2.0(presumably res'd by the sheer accumulation of vanerial diseases in his system), exploitation sex every 15 seconds, supporting cast MIA, and a plot that just kinda jumps around. I'm a huge Ubel Blatt fan but I'd like to see this straightened out before too long.

And it's seriously, SERIOUSLY, time to stop doing the harem of sex slaves thing. It's gross, it's pointless, it's annoying, and it needs to stop. More stabbing with swords and less with....other things.

It's definitely worth a read. At it's best, this series is great.

As for why the activity fell off. I can only answer for myself but there was a long haitus and after it came back a little rougher around the edges. For a while though it was focusing away from the protagonist, spread the various characters all over the place, and shifting focus so often that I couldn't really get into any of the stories they chapters were trying to tell. It's like the author was rushing the story along instead of telling it.

It seems like it's getting back on track now. It's still not quite where it was creatively before the hiatus but it's getting there.

I wonder if the latest chapters flow better if you read them consecutively instead of reading... one... at... a... time... Usually it works better that way, but I find I am lost reading the last few chapters. I think i'll batch read them some day, just to get back into it. It used to be really good.

I went back and tried that and it doesn't help all that much.

The problem is that a lot of things are going on in a lot of places and instead of focusing on one of them the author has been doing a little of each. As a result each little story arc reads about the same way a book with pages missing does. Whether you read the chapters one at a time or all at once, those parts of the story just aren't there. It's like he tried to do the game of thrones epic fantasy thing but just can't put out the volume of pages he needs to pull it off.

Getting all the characters in one place is a good start toward returning to a story that's focused on a single place in the Ubel Blatt world, which is what the story was for the first 100ish chapters, and I think that really is what this series needs to return to being.

What do you think, will he be able to regain his previous appearance or at least partly? The girl who drank Asherit's blood returned to her real appearance so maybe Asherit also will return in the future.
