after talking about ronaldo,he scored 2 goals tonight and he is the top scorer on overall world cups now.scored 14 goals on total.

first big surprise happened and czech republic is eleminated.what a shame Usa is eliminated as well.

Arghhh!! I know! It's agony! In Australia we have a huge Italian population (most are like 3rd generation now). So we are all very fond of Italains and love Italian football - and as you know, I've been supporting them throughout the tournament.

BUT! Now I must support my country! I hope we give it our best shot. If we don't go through, i'll not be too upset because this is already a milstone for us.

man did you see the argantine-mexico match?mexico deserved the victory more but star players are the ones that makes the difference.what a goal that was.

argantine vs germany in quarter final.it is like an early final.I hope argantine wins.

That was a wonder goal. Arg V Germany is goign to be VERY interesting indeed. Hard match to call that one.

the only problem is, it seems their goal ratio is extremely low compare to their shoots on target (and off target)

England won again 1-0 against Equador but there game was still sloppy and the equadors got more ball possesion also. England is becoming a team with only midfielders as goal scorers. Sven Goran Erikson should be realizing by now that football is a game where mostly strikers score goals. Gerrard was not playing his best, Joel Coel seems to be playing worser, Lampard is STILL playing rather clumsy and misses many good chances and beckham not doing much either but credits to him for scoring a wonderful goal by a free kick.
Compare this game and the game Equador face german, You can see a lot of difference between England and Germany.
these are just my comment about the game no offence to England fan.

Its a shame that argentina has to face german in the quaterfinals i was hoping they could at least face each other in the semi's. I think germans will win this one unless argentina brings out lionel messi as a starter.

England behaved as usual. Played badly and got through. Having said that, Equador were terrible. How on earth they managed to make it to the last 16 is beyond me.

this is where football goes.I didnt even understand how the time passed in second half.there was many yellow cards and red cards and the the game just finished after the commotion.I didnt see any football.it was like a kickbox match.portugal managed to steal the whole second half and secured the score and holland just allowed them by raising the tension.

football must change itself or it will be too late soon.stealing time shouldnt be allowed in a match.Some rules should immediately change.me and many spectators dont enjoy football anymore.soon nobody will find it worth watching.

Well I am not a real soccer fan only at WC but I really dont like the argie playing style. You know they jump like kungfu master into the fights which has nothing to do with soccer...also the "punch" into the face of one of our players at the beginning. I know that wasn't even a punch and didn't hurt but thats just lame. And the end....only one word ... shameful...same as portugal...

For those o criticise portugal i stand to defend them. If you didn't see the murderous tackle on ronalado on the first half or th stepping of the van der sar keeper on the and of the portugues player.... then you need to review again the game... if you didn't see the BOUTH two yeallow cards that deco receveid ( the first when heitinga didn't throw out the ball who should've done if he had fair play, or the second the in wich deco gout pulled and pushed) then i advise all those who defend holand and criticies portugal to get good medicine for nausia cuz, you aint seen the last of portugal in this world cup. And if you didn know this was the first red cards potugal has had in the last 4 years. And with this i arrest my case and wish tou all nice games, and of cours the cup comes to portugal.

If was hard game for me to watch coz i like them both.
Argentina were great in the begining, After they made those changes, it all went bad. They shouldnt had tooken off crespo and they should of put in Lionel messi or inzaghi.
They went to penalty and Germany won the gamble. Credits to Lehman for making awesome saves.
In the end, Argentina were throwing punches and stuff. Im sure there was a reason for that and rodrigez threw a flying punch that almost hit someone... well...they were very depress that they lost a game that they almost won but whats done is done.
Congratz to the germans.!!

German Vs England? when theres still Brazil France and Portugal?
England were playing poor games against low rank teams so far and won by a goal, if they can somehow fix there pace, anything could happen but i really would like to see an encore of last world cup match Brazil Vs German and this time i hope German wins. lol:
