Bob's well known for screwing up these polls. :P
Yes, I realized. :XD
Waiting him fix it because I think both (or 2 XD) will go to overtime! :arf

Switzerland will make a heavy defense and make Argentina do nothing. Belgium x USA, on the other hand, will be at Fonte Nova, the match will have an infinite number of goals. Either one of them will win with large advantage, or they will alternate the advantage with draws like 2-1,3-2 and so on. In the end, it has to have 3 or more goals. XD
If they alternate the advantage, it can end in a draw and go to overtime. :nod

Fixed poll.

At another note, thank god the matches are done in terms of being held in the hot pot aka. jungle? XD

I predict aonther two close matches today like I said before. Potential for upsets, but I find it unlikely in the end. I think the obvious ones will advance, especially Argentina, but with difficulty in both cases. However if I were to choose one upset I'd take USA, simply due to that the match already being closer to begin with, on top of Belgia not being very impressive in their matches. Argentina was kind of unimpressive in their first two matches too, but in their third vs Nigeria they played pretty well in offense vs a team that opened up and wanted to win as well. A weird match with many goals but it also showed some improvement despite the conceded goals.

Gary, he started. :derp

I'd love to see you after Neymar was injured or something... Because without him even Brazil is not worth mentioning.

How do you intend to play against France after Colombia kicks you out? Is a friendly match after the wc already scheduled? :derp

What should he say anyway? Saying that everything was awesome? He knows that he fucked up big time. Problem will be, that we probably see a similar line-up again... <.<
Don't worry with Neymar, the doctor already said that his condition is not worrisome. He will play against Columbia.
I suggest you worry with yourself and your team. I just knew that Mustafi is out of WC and Schweinsteiger is doubtful. At least you already have an excuse when you lose like 2002. :p

I rely on my team, unlike you. Problem?

Well, he could be like you saying that Brazil is the only one that play badly sometimes. :nod

Is it wrong to kind of hope for a Germany v Brazil final now? Simply due to the trash talking in this thread would reach a superb level in that scenario xD

Yes, it is. They will come across each other in the Semifinals, only.
I'd like to watch Brazil vs. France, much more interesting to watch since the entire stadium will be really against France (I can encounter brazilians who sympathize with Argentina, but not with France XD). It will be free of butthurt as well.

It is always refreshing to be reminded that you have no idea about this sport. :) Probably 99% of Germany is happy that Mustafi is out. He wasn't even in the 23 squad first. Nobody here understood why he played so many minutes at this wc.
Furthermore you didn't even understand what I mean. If Neymar was injured before the wc, like Reus, then Brazil would probably be even worse than they are now.
Schweinsteiger wasn't at 100% to begin with. He has 4 days now... If he is out, Khedira just appears in the starting line-up again. I just hope Hummels will recover just in time. There probably won't be a match Brazil vs Germany anyway. If the better teams should advance, then mine and yours go home.
Pretty funny how you always bring up 2002, a wc that was 12 years ago. Makes me wonder if you still can't get over the fact the Brazil was top 8 but nothing more for the last 8 years.

You are a fanboy, that is my problem. Discussing football with you is next to impossible. You always feel offended when somebody counters an attack of you etc. etc. You are just not objective and that is kinda annoying.

Which I just don't. That is your selective perception. The team I bash the most is my own. You always try to say that everyone here is so mean to Brazil while ignoring the posts about the other teams... Cute.
"Sometimes" is funny though. I've not seen one good match from Brazil so far. Same goes for Argentina and Belgium. The only team that played amazing football in every single match was Colombia. Go figure.

oh right, I forgot about that, rofl! Well semi-finals then. Personally I don't care about the Brazil v France rivalry, so I'd prefer Germany over France I think.

I'd like to say "probably" is redundant, but again, Brazil sucked, so, it's not like there is much room to play any worse for them. Much like Argentina, especially considering their first two games. I can't see any other player besides Neymar being any effective. Alves and Marcelo are on the miss phase of their hit and miss football, Oscar is underperforming for the last three games or so, and let's do not even get started on Fred or Jo. Other than that, only Hulk managed to have some impact, though I liked bits of what Luiz Gustavo showed, too.

Well, not that the other big teams have been any better. That's why I don't like and I will never like what people refer to as modern football. One of these sucking giants will eventually run away with the title, after all.

Colombia is the best team so far and, in my opinion, Cuadrado is the best player of the Cup. But I think tradition will prevail, though this specifically WC has been showing the opposite. I believe that Colombia will try to face Brazil as an equal and will try a real offensive strategy. And why not? They are a really good offensive team.
But Brazil has a hell of problem against teams that have a defensive strategy. Especially recently that we only have one player who can do individual plays to break a barrier. We don't have in the same team Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo like 2002 or Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Adriano like 2006. We dont have too much options as we had back then. We only have Neymar. But if the match turns to be wide opened, I think we have more chances of victory.

I'm brazilian and I think the same as you. I don't know why brazilians care about it, France is not even worth to be a rival.
I want to see Brazil vs Germany and a final against Holland or Argentina.

One more comment:

USA vs Belgium is gonna be here in my city, at the "Rape Stadium". No matche with less than 4 goals.

The tradition needs to keep going on. Or Belgium shows what its golden generation is made of or the best football ( xD ) will become american first sports starting today. I wanna see a massacre again!

It is not a matter of rivarly, it is a matter of honor. They kicked us out of the World Cup twice in the last 4 WCs. We had to win upon them, make them feel the hell within our home in a staidum full of fans that hate them.

Our problem is more tactical than quality of players. Our mid-field doesn't exist, that's the problem. I don't understand what's happening since we played very well in Conf. Cup with almost the same team. =/

I have the same opinion about Columbia. Try to face Brazil as equal is the most dangerous thing any team can do.
You guys can underestimate Brazil as you please, but when the team gives space... We crush them.

BORING match... Except for 2~3 plays, it was just passing the ball from side to side. :bored

Well, what do you want, every time we won a 1 vs 1 they defended with their arms. It took the ref 35 minutes to show a fcking yellow card.

it is a matter of talent... in the meaning o we lack creative players, that simple. Felipao should have picked Everton Ribeiro as an alternative and we would be better.
We did well on the confederations cup cuz name aside, the team had low expectations, Felipao was still looking for a team and the other teams weren't aware of how the brazilian team would play. Now the other teams know that Brazil likes to maintain possession, but don't do much with it unless Neymar do something out of the box, they rely more on speedy attacks when the defense isn't properly set

If argrntina win the title, romero would immediatly become the weakest keeper ever to win a world cup. I know he is no neuer but still ...

Messi couldn't make it, overtime. :cookiehand

Argentina was better in the 2nd half, but Switzerland defense is somewhat impenetrable.

wow this match is a sleep fest.

First half: Argentina was terrible. Switz actually had the ability to do SOMETHING in offense.
Second half: Argentina finally woke up and Switz is utterly unable to do ANYTHING in offense. Still Argentina can't score or really come close many times. They just can't do shit in front of the goal.

oh and messi being bm pushing a player. I bet no one will care because he's Holy Blessed Innocence Boiiii. If that was CR7 the Internet would explode, rofl.

Mascherano did the same thing. He didn't push him, he took his arm out of his own shoulder. The match has been pretty bm overall.

I meant they actually played a bit, unlike their second half performance. More like a statement "Switz was able to compete a bit on the field". In the second half Switz really did nothing and it was a complete one-sided game but Argentina dominated all aspects of the field until the last 16 meters, where they are unable to do anything. As things were in the second half it would be really sad to see Switz score a late goal without having produced ANYTHING in an entire half.

This end of 1st half with Switzerland attacking and the fans shouting "Olé" was great. :p
Switzerland attacked more this time than Argentina. I think it will go to Penalties though.

Messi to miss a penalty in the shootout, resulting in Argentina's loss. You heard it here first.

Anyway, is this really the same Switzerland that could've conceded seven goals to France? Or is Argentina just that inept offensively, other than Messi? I mean, Argentina couldn't really score against lowly Iran...
