My bets for today:

Argentina x Belgium

I see this match with the same vision as I saw Brazil x Colombia. Belgium has 4 wins in 4 matches and probably they will think that they're the best team of the world. Argentina will go there and win as if it was nothing like Brazil did. As people say, history doesn't win matches and the 4 matches they played in this WC is already history.
Belgium has a young team and Argentina is the opposite, not to mention the tradition. If Argentina pressures them and play like they should, there is no chance.

Netherlands x Costa Rica

End of the line to Costa Rica.

In which dimension did Brazil completely outclass Colombia?

When I say tradition, it is more like a feeling of respect. History doesn't win matches, of course, but play against a team like Argentina, which they know is many levels above of the teams they won, has a weight. They can try to ignore this feeling, but it is impossible, "it's Argentina, it's Messi team" and stuff.

We dominated the entire match. Defensively and Offensively speaking.

I don't know which match you saw but you dominated the first half and that's about it.
You can't dominate chaos as there was no structure.
You were forced to defend the whole second half. If the penalty would've happened 10 minutes earlier, Brazil would've had even more problems.

Your optimism is totally okay but please be objective.

Your best player broke a vertebrae. Your second best player will be suspended in the next match. Play in the quarterfinals now speaks to very little. Brazil is at a decided disadvantage against the Merkel's. I will be pulling for Brazil. I have always preferred beaches and sunshine to austerity.

Argentina has not yet looked impressive this Cup. They've won ugly. Very hard to consider Argentina a favorite even after Neymar's injury and Thiago's second yellow card. Netherlands has played well all Cup. Netherlands defeating Argentina would come as little surprise, assuming both advance.

I was talking about today's match.

The Netherlands have won ugly too, playing always with a counter-attack tactic and almost losing against Mexico. No team is a favourite.

Apparently you didn't watch their matches against Australia and Mexico.

We were better than the other team in each one of our matches, and they've always played parking the bus (except Nigeria, and that match was kinda relaxing for us).

Why am I even discussing football with you btw?

I don't get why Enzo is in, instead of Maxi, Augusto or Palacio... who knows.

Argentina is controlling the match very well so far, Belgium didn't make any dangerous play...

Slow game. I m under the impression that argentina is already waiting for the end of the game. Belgium isn t pressing enough

What about Mirallas' header?

Nah, it was only in the end so we could have the last play, and when Di María was out because we were playing with 10.

Are you expecting I will remember every single play? Please, consider a margin of error of 1~2 plays. :oh

It was an important play, I would expect anyone actually watching the match to remember those, yeah.

Aside from that play, Belgium is just daydreaming on the field, though. Di Maria injury might be key. Had he been in the game, second half could have led to more opportunities to score for Argentina.
Now, I feel like 1-0 is kind of hard to break for both sides, judging by the football.

2nd half Argentina administered the match, they deserved the qualification. What I said somewhat happened. :p
