Well I see Messi more similair to Ronaldo(Brazil) than to a real number 10 such as Zidane,Pirlo,Totti,Xavi, Iniesta and so on. Messi for me is the best when he attacks from the wings with his speed and dribbling so a wing striker more than a playmaker.

And that's wasting his talent, Messi is versatile as fuck, when he can't accelerate and pierce the defense, he may throw a pass that would bypass all the defense, he may throw the ball to a player that the defense had no idea he's there

Understand that good football players are the one who move well without the ball, not with it, with that you can create spaces

Anyway, since the Belgium game, Argentina has been playing like they used to be... Argentina never played that good anyway, whenever Sabella/Maradona/Perkerman played with ultra offensive tactics, Argentina lost miserably, during Maradona's time as a player, they didn't play that good either if it weren't for Maradona's genius they would've lost either

But Sabella found the solution and moreover, he choose the right decision to build the team around Messi, his presence in the field alone makes Argentina better defensively, the opponents can't attack them carelessly or else they'd leave enough spaces for them

In this match Messi lost the ball often and his passes missed their target in quite a few scenes. I still consider him more of a striker than a playmaker. And Argentina had a great team that played attarctive football at the WC of 98. I think they wil never have a team with top players in every position ever again.

Well with Pekerman, they weren't badly beaten, but still nothing good as it is today, now they're consistent thanks to Sabella, not impressive

Funny how people think that the final will be like Germany x Brazil. It was an atypical result, even if we repeated the match today, it wouldn't have the same result. Now I admit that we had problems, but we weren't that weak to be defeated by 7-1 easily. Something inexplicable happened.
However, I think that Germany is gonna win this.

I'm glad that the final won't be another all-European final like the past two world cup finals even though I don't mind another European team to win. It would be entertaining for me as an outsider watching a BRA/ARG or a GER/NED match though.

Since this isn't the Olympics with no bronze medal being given, is there any point to the third place match be$ide$ FIFA making more money? I'd reckon there would be lack of motivation among the two teams since no matter who wins, they wouldn't win the Cup either way. Regardless hopefully Brazil would get their dignity back in this match.

Rojo played well, just like pretty much everyone on Argentina's defense. Enzo was prolly being the best on Argentina side, and i wouldn't had substituted him on the first substitution.
Argentina overall deserved more to win than Netherlands.

There is a bronze medal given tho, if there was none it would be like the European Championships, there is no medal given there and they don' play for the third place.

Enzo and Mascherano were the best by far in our team (not counting Romero), and it's almost insulting to see he got a 5.5 in Marca and Mascherano a 8.5 (and I'm sure a lot of newspapers did the same). So underrated just because he's Enzo and not Di María. He should totally play the final and, if Di María is ok, Lavezzi should go out.

Yeah, that move was weird. I wouldn't have taken out Enzo nor Higuaín unless they were super tired or something. Agüero did nothing and Palacio was ok but I would had subbed out Lavezzi instead of Enzo.

I think Germany will take this, and i am gonna be rooting for it.

At this point, I know that we could play against Hitler himself and you would be rooting for him, lol
