Maan, can't create the ESPN bracket with you guys. The site says there is already an account from my email (don't remember doing one), but when I try to get a new password, it says there is no account connected to that email. Wut?

I really looking forwards the WC, even if lot of players have been dropping out.

Too much a hassle, used an other email. Now I have a bracket too. Haven't followed much lately though, so highly likely it is gonna be totally off :D

In the Confed Cup, Thiago Silva crashed heads with David Luiz, causing Luiz to have to be substituted off, if memory serves. Actually, I'm not sure if Luiz had to be subbed off, but he was a bit woozy for a day or two and had a bandage, I believe. He still played in the Final, obviously.

Apprently, Neymar sprained his ankle during the training today, but DON'T WORRY, it's all right now. He was back in the training after some minutes. :pleased

Quite surprised the odds are so good for Argentina to win on Bet365. Based on that Argentina has an odd of 5 euros for each 1 spent. Better than them only Brazil with an odd of 4. Following Argentina we have Germany with an odd of 7, and then Spain with 7.5.

I have yet to understand what makes Argentina so likely to win, but i guess some professionals analyst definitely know a bit more than me.
Well i still think that Argentina's defense is a joke compared to most of other national teams, so that's why i am actually surprised with them having such good odds.

Maybe i am wrong ... Garay is normally pretty good, Demichelis is pretty experienced. But seeing Rojo being called ... not that i watched many Sporting's games, but i think i always got the idea the guy is average, not that he is gonna play or anything, but still XD

Well but Di Maria was playing amazingly at Real ... honestly if he does a great World Cup i wouldn't be surprised that he could win the Golden Ball.
Is Enzo going to be "firstpick" hardy? :p He had a pretty good year on Benfica and i think he is a good player. Not a great one, but definitely a good player.

How is that even surprising. Like, no joke, we're top 4 without a doubt only behind the best team in the world (Germany), the last Champion (Spain) and the locals (Brazil), the fact that the last one was pretty average in the last years except in the Confed Cup is prolly why we're above them.

Rojo is called simply because we don't have a better 3 (although, Ansaldi, Casco or Insua could had been better options, who knows). We might not have the biggest names in our defense atm but who has, really? And, even with all that, Sabella likes to play with 5 in the back sometimes (yeah, I bet none of you knew that).

And no, Enzo is barely in the 23, he took Banega's place.

TL;DR of everything you said: the players I've watched are pretty good, but I think that Rojo (who I didn't actually watch) is bad (even though apparently Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool want him), so Argentina is bad.

And about the bet365 thing, it's obviously because we have a really easy draw and we prolly won't play against anyone decent till top 8. Spain might be out in first round, and if they're 2nd they'll play against Brazil. Germany has to beat you guys first, then play against (very likely) either Russia or Belgium.

While I feel like I shouldn't hammer this point home any longer, all of this depends on Messi actually succeeding at a WC, something he hasn't done before. If the midfield's working, the defense is solid, and the attackers play like they do for their club teams, Argentina has a very good chance to win. It's a big ask to have everything gelling at a WC, however, and Messi's still recovering, so...

On the other hand, Germany's lost Reus, their most influential attacking player (barring whatever you want to say about Schweini), some of Spain's key players are aging and Diego Costa is still somewhat injured (plus he'll have to face the Brazilian fans), Brazil is solid across the board (people like Fred will determine whether or not Brazil win the WC, not Neymar, Oscar, or Hulk), although not spectacular, and France is down Ribery, even though he's never done anything for the national team, except during the recent WC qualification campaign. So, while I still stick by my earlier statement that Argentina doesn't have a real shot of winning the WC, the injuries to other countries has perhaps opened the door a bit for Argentina.
