Not sure if that's a penalty...looked like shoulder to shoulder.

Buffon has looked nothing like himself. Making wrong judgements on when to come out and when not to. His positioning is pretty bad too.

It's penalty for you guys? You guys are confusing american football with soccer? :nah

Well, good first half. Both teams were quite even but, to be honest, Costa Rica was more efficient, deserved 1-0.
i wouldn't say even at this point. it was Italy game, but after a couple of miss from mario they completely let Costa rica dominate the game. hope they comeback during the 2nd half

Hardy, you re wrong and that s it. Europe don t care about it. Believe me, im european
Oh, a site from the US, yeah they surely know a lot about how much people care about the Intercontinental cup, yeah.
¨How to fix it? Well, I’d suggest modeling the competition on an existing, successful, and relevant competition. The World Cup seems an obvious choice, no? Stage the competition every four years, with the 24 confederation champions (or runners-up, when there are repeat winners) over the four-year period to take part, and split them into eight seeded qualifying groups of three teams, who will play each other home and away over the course of a season, with the eight group winners playing a knockout tournament during a week in June or July¨

Dude get info from a site that at least makes sense.

Well, I'm technically both European and Southamerican, so I guess my opinion is worth twice as yours? :XD

Are you serious? You don't think that was penalty but the Brazil first game was a legit one? To just draw one comparison.

Nvm, I misread.

That was a 100% penalty for Costa Rica. Fortunately for them they scored right after, deservedly like you also said. scav is a noob.

soccer players need to man up instead of always relying on penalty :3c
I agree. Although I disagree with "soccer" word usage ^^

Football players definitely are pussies. Almost every situation is overplayed, but that case was a clear penalty dude. Football experts and commentators will majorly agree on it.

The guy was straight up mowed down. It was a hard push and he was in a dangerous position. It's one of the clearer cases.

From africa:http://www.africatopsports.com/2013/12/13/fifa-une-coupe-du-monde-des-clubs-pour-quoi-faire/

From france:http://mobile.lemonde.fr/sport/arti...plus-economique-que-sportif_4338659_3242.html

Nobody cares about it. 150000 supporters watching it, more than 4 millions for the champion s league. Those are statistics from france television
Both sites say that the Club World Cup that is played nowadays (that tries to make it ¨fair¨ to countries outside of Southamerica / Europe) is more about money than football itself, never do they question the value the encounter between Southamerica and Europe have (they just question FIFA's intentions when they add teams from other places of the planet).

Let's talk about facts here. When Boca defeated Real Madrid, the Spaniards looked like shit. When Boca defeated Milan some years after that, Shevchenko was super serious and Kaka was even crying.

Of course, the Champions League is very likely more important for you guys, just like the Libertadores is more important for us, but that doesn't mean the Intercontinental and the Club World Cup don't mean anything like you're trying to make it look.

What a great performance by Costa Rica. Deserved winners and England goes fishing.

Well my previous statement about this being the best potential WC since 1998 a week ago is showing its results :heh I think that is already a fact. WC2014 crushing WCs since 1998 easily already.

It might even top 1998 at this rate. Superb cup so far.

South American just dominating, holy molly. RIP Europe. Our only hope is Germany and Netherlands xD At this rate the final will be a pure South American one. There might even be pure South American semi finals.

Nuno, don't spout such blasphemy. Zidane made that WC the best WC ever. Admittedly, there have been more surprises this WC than your average WC, and it's certainly been better than '02, '06, and '10.

Costa Rica is not South America, just saying.

Germany, Netherlands, and France (although I don't have that much belief in the country I support) could, on their day, beat any of the South American teams, though. Belgium seems to suffer from too much inexperience.

I'll stick to my prediction of Uruguay winning it all. History is on their side.

Well that's what I said. Meh, 1998 was legendary but it's not untouchable. Nothing is, and this WC is still young. Hence why I said "it might at this rate".

Yeah I know it isn't xD

I still have hope the stronger SA teams will get better and better throughout the tourny, but that might apply for Germany and Netherlands too. No reason they shouldn't get better with even more practice. I have no hope in France, sorry.

1998 World Cup was the worst ever. I didn't watch it, but France won upon Brazil. It's more than enough.

Should have been 2-0 or even 2-1 if Italy put up a fight and if the referee wasn't biased just now.
But oh well nicely played Costa Rica. Impressively killed a giant.
