Concering that belief, I've even read about it in a magazine! To tell you the truth I never felt it'd be such a trump card to have. Of course I can't see myself from a right handed person's perspective, which only leads me to ask you righties: "Do you really feel surprised if a person you'd be fighting against was a lefty?"
As for fencing, I don't like it myself, but I like Japanese swords and would like to take up Kendo. Still, I don't know all the differencies among Japanese sword related martial arts and in Kavala there's only a school for Iaido. I remember reading in a magazine that left handers weren't accepted in such schools in Japan of the old. I wonder if they do now, if they know how to teach us left handers and all... It makes me feel awkward because it's how I was born and a lot of people I know acted as if it was a desease... I was even told that my "left handedness" was the cause of my "awful handriting". To which I replied "..." in the usuall manga way and assumed an expression much like this

Wouldn't want to spoild that image for you Khaludh but I'm the only person out of both my classes who is in anyway related to Japan, let alone manga and Naruto... Man, everyone I know in Kavala has been informed of my petty attempt at learnign Japanese and they all make fun of me and say it's not humanly possible (damn them inhuman Japs

As far as expressions go, in Greece the word for "skill", "craftmanship" is "δεξιοτεχνία"/"theh-ksi-oh-tehh-
nih-ah", being a combination of the words "right", "δεξιός"/"theh-ksi-
os" and the word art, " τέχνη"/"
tehh-nih". There's also a saying, "May everything go right", only that in Greek the word "right" only means the direction, so saying that you also give the word the meaning of "well". Still, it's funny that such a literal translation of a Greek proverb gives us, more or less, a common English expression
